The staff at the hotel was polite & courteous and the shower got almost immediately hot & had good pressure... The hotel itself was in terrible condition. The air conditioning unit was horrendously loud and turned on & off constantly, the remote only worked if you stood about 6" from the TV, the bed was lumpy, bumpy & uncomfortable, there were huge stuccoed patches all over the walls & a big one on the bathroom door. The toilet seat was worn down to the wood. I was there for a week & no one came in to clean the room or replace the single tiny pack of shampoo. There was no iron or hair dryer. Stayed for 1 night with 4 adults, booked through Booking.com. Solid and generally clean facility for a cheap motel. No frills but had what we needed. Location and parking were easy. They let us check in 45 minutes early without additional charge so that was nice. I felt the sheets and quilt could have been cleaner, there were some mysterious stains on the quilt. The AC unit was blasting and had the temperature controls drilled out so we couldn't turn it down, only turn it on or off. One bed was right next to the AC unit and it was really hard to sleep with the AC blasting like that. The hand and body soap provided was also really low quality and made my skin break out. Pretty decent for a cheap one night place to crash. I had seen the terrible reviews on here and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I booked this room about a week in advance, and it was for a specific event I was going to so to me it was last minute which caused me to be on a budget. ***Beware*** I Booked a room last night at 11 pm, this morning my boyfriend requested a late checkout and decided to rebook the room in his name since I needed to checkout and leave. The heavy set girl Leslie in the office asked my boyfriend for his ID and credit card and rebooked the room leaving it in my name. I called the front desk and told her she needed to ask for his ID and rebook the room in his name to which she replied that she did ask for ID. I told her that my boyfriend and I do not share the same last name since we are not married nor was he listed on the room and that she needed to book the new reservation in his name. The heavy set girl Leslie who apparently doesn't understand how to do her job, then began cussing and threatened to cancel the room and call metro PD since it was 11:30. I told her that was fine because I was leaving anyway. I video taped the room just to ensure I'm not being accused of anything since they're shady. I told my boyfriend that he needed to get a cancellation receipt, which he went back and did and again the heavy set girl Leslie began cussing at him about me. I printed the cancellation receipt and attached it to show that last nights 1-16-23 reservation was booked in my name with my CC and todays reservation 1-17-23 was booked under my boyfriend's CC but the room remained in my name and no where was his name included. Also we called early this morning around 4:21 am to report our neighbors fighting and screaming and they did nothing. The fighting continued until a little after 7am. Yes, it was the cheapest place I could find for the weekend, however, it was still over $100 a night, and for just $30 more, I could have gotten the Holiday Inn, closer to the strip, and much nicer. We decided to go with the Hotel Galaxy because, regardless of the price, the pictures on the website didn't look too bad. And the Google reviews weren't bad. I wish I would have checked guests' pictures as well as the reviews on here. The place was off the strip and quiet at first, but people having arguments in all the rooms around us. The floors felt sticky, the three locks on the door were very clearly needed because one of them was bent in. The bathroom was still dirty, and the bathroom fixtures appeared to be rusting. The worst part, though, was the bed sheets that were stained and looked like they hadn't even been cleaned. Usually it would be enough to sleep on top of the comforter in that situation, but the top of the comforter was gross as is. The only positive thing was that there were no bugs that we saw. That's really the only positive thing I can think of. read more

Motel told my small claims attorney 3 days in a row the manager is planning to call him the following morning, only to block all private numbers so he couldn't call from his law office, that's when I realized I wasn't dealing with people, but vermin. I suspect management posts positive reviews under sock accounts so I hope they read this, the state health and tourism boards cannot be pacified with a $50 refund, and as you were screening calls to hang up on my attorney instead of coming to a conclusion I spent the better part of the afternoon learning the terms and conditions on your website are a lie waving any power your refund policy shield holds, but I contacted every state entity willing to listen and the visual and audio evidence collected by my attorneys law office will leave your criminal galaxy condemned. The photos do not reflect the room you get. this place was very run down and dirty. The door didn't shut properly , like it had been kicked in before. The sheets had burns in them and black stuff on the end table. I am surprised there were no bedbugs. We ran into a couple locals that stated that place is in the run down neighborhood and they wouldn't even stay there. The bathroom was also dirty and the shower had a constant leak. I will not stay there again and recommend that everyone researches before staying here. read more

Yeah, so, it was a cheap hotel room. So it's not great, except at being a cheap hotel room, LOL. On the non-strip side of highway 15, this place is fairly convenient (aka easy walking distance of southern strip casinos like NYNY and Excalibur). I only paid $67 (plus fees and taxes) for a room whereas most of the big name hotels were at least double that. They've got plenty of rooms, plenty of parking, free wi-fi, a laundry facility, and a pool. The room has a microwave and mini fridge in it (the latter of which I've found to be less frequent an amenity in Vegas cuz they want you to buy drinks in the city while you're out and about), so big kudos to this place on that. The room was clean, though there is linoleum for the flooring rather than carpet so not particularly cozy. Small flatscreen TV. The shower has pretty low pressure but had enough hot water for me to enjoy getting clean. Sadly only one small towel and few linens provided for two people but plenty of soap/shampoo? The beds were a little hard but not atrocious. They have a policy for quiet hours after 10pm so we even had a restful sleep! Though of course there is significant constant road noise from the freeway (more like white noise to me). All in all pretty agreeable for a cheap stay! Just don't expect any level of luxury and save your money for those slots! ;) read more

I don't know what's worse: the fact that there were nasty stains all over the sheets, the fact that the A/C was broken and stuck on one temperature, the fact that there was literal shit smeared on the walls in the bathroom, the fact that there were cigarette burns on the blanket, the fact that despite the room being a "non-smoking" room, it REAKED of nicotine the moment we stepped into the room, or the fact that they made us pay over $250 a NIGHT and tried to charge us an extra $30 to stay until noon. I have pictures of roaches in our room, the floors were disgusting, they turned the water off without notifying us, they do not supply towels and their idea of complimentary breakfast is 2 stale bagels and a brown banana. After checking in to the Hotel Galaxy, I wish we'd just slept in our car. I should have gone to Yelp and checked out the reviews before booking on Hotels.com. (And Hotels.com should be ashamed of sponsoring such a terrible place on their site!). We got a nail in our tire on the freeway just outside of Vegas. After changing to the spare at 11:00 pm, there wasn't any repair place shop open, so I reserved a room at this horrid place. We unlocked the door to our room and reached in to flip on the lights, but no light came on, we made our way by cell phone light and discovered a single bulb in the bathroom would have to illuminate the entire space. At the front desk we'd been assured a nonsmoking room, but this room had been smoked in for years. The walls were oozing nicotine and even in the dimness we could see the burn holes in the bedding. The sheetrock behind the door was caved in. The AC had a hole punched in it and a wad of toilet paper was squished into it. There was a smear of blood on the molding next to the bathroom door, another on a chair, the walls were covered in more things I won't even list. Wires hung down where the smoke detector should have been. And the curtains were ripped from the window rod. There was only one thin graying towel laying on the toilet tank. I marched down to the office and started down my list of complaints. The front desk girl just looked at me and said, "no refunds" as she slid another dingy towel to me through the slot in the window. We spent the most miserable night on a bed as hard as cinderblock and the AC roaring like a cement truck full of gravel. We were waiting in line to check out by 6:00 am and were parked in front of a tire repair shop by 7:00 waiting to fix the tire so we could get the hell out of Vegas and put as many miles as possible between us and the Hotel Galaxy. read more

Man tried to break into my room with me and my girlfriend.Terrible. Waste of money. I tried to spend a night here with my girlfriend and friends but was woken up at 6am to a man knocking hard on my door requesting to enter our room. After telling him no he violently continued to break into the room. After talking on the phone wil police for 30 minutes they finally arrived and said "he's just looking for his friends" so super sketchy will probably get sex trafficed if you book at the galaxy motel. Also no carpet huge gaps in the door so it's ice cold at night. Disgusting floors and walls I just know that the room will not be cleaned for the next guest. I had to change rooms the 1st night. 1st room TV had no sound, cord to phone missing, and door had about a 1.5 in gap at bottom, plus the tub was stained from cigarette (non smoking room). 2nd room remote worked except volume. Water in the shower was barely warm long enough to shower. Bed was extremely old and felt like sleeping on springs. Had to get the keycard activated each night. Staff was hit and miss. Only felt reasonably safe due to parking lot well lit. If your ok with smoke and pot smells your non-smoking room will be fine. It also appears to be a long term resident facilities. If you have a small budget and don't expect much and are ok with lumpy beds. This could be the place. read more

Walking to our room, it looked like people lived there. Old Caution tape on the stairs (smh) Walked into room, first thing I noticed the holes in the walls, the burned electric socket, the cracked lamp....there were no towels anywhere! The air conditioner sounded like a lawn mower, no way you can sleep with that running all nite....then to top it off there was a cigarette burn on the blankets. I only give this hotel ONE star because there is no option for ZERO stars. Let me first start off by saying I was questioned whether I came alone or not. The woman at the counter had asked me what event I was in Vegas for and then proceeded to ask me if I was sure I was alone and literally looked over the counter at my car to check if anyone else was in in there... After I got my key and remote and made my way to my room. I could not for the life of me get my door open. I had to call the front desk who then sent maintenance to open the door for me. All in the times wait, I was watching hoodlums hang out and smoke outside the hotel. When I was finally inside the small room, I noticed that the bedsheets had cigarette burns and the place was just awfully dirty but I mean for $30 a night what do you expect. The toilet had absolutely no pressure when u flushed it and the bathtub was horribly stained. I had to wear sandals inside the tub when I showered while staring down the deep dark drain expecting a roach to come out any minute. I could not sleep at all at night in the cigarette burned sheets and I refused to lay my head against the pillows. When I did manage to wake up, I woke up with scratches and bites. When I was looking at the picture online for this place it seemed decent especially for the price but when I arrived my first thought was damn! I've been catfished. It was nothing like the pictures and it was definitely not the rating it had. This place had cheap everything. The bathroom doesn't flush correctly, the blanket it had had holes in it and it was very thin the pillows were extremely thin and had no cushion. Also the tv was tiny. The room looked old and dirty and it was a non smoking room but it reeked like a fragrant cigarette. The toilet seat was dirty, there was only 3 wall sockets in the room. 2 by the bathroom but none by the beds. Now, let me get to the thing that is most important, the bed. I usually get hotels and the bed is the most important. Because that's where you rest. Well this bed was extremely hard it literally felt like a king size wooden pallet. So it was two twin size box springs in the bottom and the so called "mattress" on top. I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed in my entire life. This literally hurt my back and my body. I woke up feeling like I got hit by a bus. I mean the owners of this place didn't even bother getting a decent bed. This place is trash and it's not worth the price. This is a maybe 15 dollars a night place not 150 a night. Do not go here and if you do decide to go here check the ratings and the pictures actual customers post not the stuff you see on Google. I have never ever been more disappointed nor catfished like this. I didn't expect a 5 star hotel. But for 150 a night I did expect something I could at least get decent sleep on not something I I woke up feeling like death. Do not go here. Never again will I ever come back. I would put 1/2 star only because the size of the room isn't bad and the mini fridge was clean and so was the mirror. I have always used hotels.com when I make trips and I had never had a problem until today. Let me begin with some of the worst customer service ever! The housekeepers were leaving and they kept talking over everyone. They were disorganized and rude. The pictures online are either old or from when they opened many years ago. Extremely misleading. Exterior is old and looks nothing like the pictures online. Checking was eternal they hand you the remote for your room. I had reserved 2 rooms when we went into one of them it wasn't cleaned. I asked for a refund they refused instead they gave me a different room. The rooms have the basic I chair TV is up on the wall very poor lighting. The pool I think is ok my kids refuse to swim because of the sketchy people wandering around the property. This place is terrible! When we got into the complex, there were homeless people with their bags lined up against the back wall and the place just felt dirty; but not as dirty as the room smelled when we opened the door. There was a chemical funk overlayed with smoke and vomit. The bed and blankets looked old and stank of strong amonia and urine. There was no tables or drawers in the room, and the TV had been disconnected and only one power source in the room was even working well enough to hold in plugs. We booked the room 2 days before we got here, but only had an option to cancel up til 5pm that same evening, before we even saw or smelled the room. The door lock is broken and we have to get our card codes reassigned almost every time we use them, and the door has to be forced closed in order to lock, and it barely does that. Traffic during the Pink Concert was impossible to leave or reenter the parking lot, and the people at the front desk are rude and unhelpful. I was woken up at 7 am this morning being accused of making too much noise, when I had been sleeping all night. I had a friend coming over to watch football and run a few errands with me today, but they will not even allow him to park here without paying for parking at this slum motel. There is so much more wrong with this place in so many ways, but the more I write, the more annoyed I get, as they charged us $110 dollars a night that we didn't have to spend on such a terrible and disgusting place..I do not recommend this place under any circumstances! I was told it was because I didn't return my key the last time I stayed here. I told the lady at the window that it has to be a mistake. I ended up going somewhere else that night.
