Booked stay on hotels.com, one room for two guest. Went to check in, one of our id's was damaged so they refused to let us check in. Claimed they needed valid ID for every adult. However, literally while we were seeing if they had any other options, a Lady comes and checks in, then has three grown men go to her room; they absolutely did not check in Staff is very rude, unprofessional, sloppy looking. The only reason I put 1 star is because it is a building that we slept in. That's pretty much all it is, because it is definitely not a hotel!! I have listed the problems my boyfriend and I had when we stayed in this God awful place for 1 night. It was $100 and $118 with taxes. waste of money... We came to Vegas to have fun, gamble a little because we can't in LA, and celebrate my bday. But there isn't much positive to say about this place. 1. Mean and annoying hotel staff 2. Key card didn't work the first time 3. Nasty bathroom and dirty towels 4. Had to change the sheets, because they were dirty too! 5. Had a sand storm, thunderstorm, and lightning that knocked out the electricity, so we were in the dark overnight, meaning there was no fridge or AC, and temp was between 90 and 102 at night!!! 6. Rented 2 rooms for 7 people and took this place because it was the cheapest, close to the Strip and could accommodate us after our Air BnB canceled. My oldest daughter joined us 2 days into our trip, even though I'd paid the fees for all the guests for 4 nights. The "customer service"lady chased her from the desk and demanded her ID and told her she was trespassing. She asked for a few minutes to put her bags away and find her ID and we were told if she didn't get her ID right now, she'd be thrown off the property. We had no bugs and no thefts, which is surprising since there is a tent city of homeless less than a block to the south. If you stay here, cab everywhere! The rooms don't look like the rooms on the website....it's an ancient motel that has been rather haphazardly cared for. But our beds were clean and the place appeared tidy enough. Just know that you have to ask for towels and when you ask, you'd better bring the used ones back to the front desk! And, if you book online, just know you can't check in without an open credit card on file, regardless of whether or not you paid in advance online. If you're looking for just a place to sleep and change clothes, it's okay to stay here. But if you're looking for luxury accommodations, this isn't it. read more

Just a crap hole. Concierge was nice, but she told me housekeeping hadn't put towels in my room. I made the reservation yesterday morning and checked in today @ 10 p.m. I'm traveling solo with my bags and she hands me a stack of towels, a remote and a room key. She dumped the toiletries in my purse because I couldn't carry anything else. My room is upstairs on the backside, so I struggled to my room and dropped my phone. Smells like someone is smoking a blunt in the bathroom, shower sucked...it is 5:30 AM and I CAN NOT SLEEP. Dirty. I have NEVER in my life and whole experience in traveling, have ever wrote a bad review and that is because I strictly stick to Airbnb. I gave this hotel a chance since the photos looked promising and did read a couple good reviews that were obviously now fake. The area itself is a little rundown but that's vegas, it's an old City, so I cannot hold that against the owners and the company but the condition of the rooms? Yes, yes I can. The room looks nothing like the photos, the floor was dirty, there was holes in the sheets, the sheets were dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned and we did see insects in the room as well and even on the bed. To top it all off, the staff is disrespectful and obviously are not fit for the job when it comes to customer service in general. If you CANNOT keep your professionalism present and cannot communicate, stick to another type of job. Maybe somewhere where no one has to face you and your ugly attitude. Somewhere that pays minimum wage because that is obviously what your job skills and you overall are worth. Other people that are actually fit for a customer service related job are being screwed out of that position. The only person that was a gentleman that I encountered that was also part of the staff during this whole situation later on in my story, was great. He is not included in the statement above. I stayed in the hotel room with my friends that are a couple that came to visit me from Los Angeles. The stay was for two nights (3 days) but I only stayed the first night and my two friends stayed both. I had work early in the morning after the first night and I couldn't take all of my belongings with me to work. So I had left a couple of small belongings in a bag. I advised my friends to hand them to me when we saw each other later that day at my house (since they were coming over to hang out with another couple of my friends) and she said okay. My friend arrived to my house later that night and forgot to bring my belongings which was fine since they were still staying for another night (that night). The next day, the day of check out, I had work early in the morning before the check out time and my friends were leaving that morning as well to catch a bus to go back home to Los Angeles. I had left a couple of small belongings in a bag with my friends as I stated above. So before work, I called the front desk and explained the situation with them and asked if my friends could leave the bag at the front desk so the staff can hold onto it until I'm off work later that day and they said YES. It was gentleman that answered and he was kind. So my friends checked out and left my belongings with the front desk employees and they even asked for a name as well so they know who they are handing it to. My friends gave them my name and the desk employees were then holding my bag. Me being courteous, I called the front desk again to see how long they'd be holding my belongings and that is when a disrespectful "woman" since a real woman does not down other woman, answered the phone. I gave her a run down of the current state of the situation and agreement and it's almost like it went through her left ear and right out the other (nothing in there). She then told me "no, there's nothing here" and HUNG UP. I called again and yes this time I did call in a little more aggravated and I have every right after what she just did and she answered again with the most disgusting attitude. She then continued to talk over me and said that they are not holding anything for me and I quote "your friends are liars". What gives that child the right to say something like that? What kind of business are you guys running? I let her know I would be coming down and she hung up once again. This all happened ON MY WAY TO WORK. I work as a customer service representative for a large company and I actually do my job. So you mean to tell me that I have to be late to my job because this child with a job can't do hers? Insane. As expected, when I pulled up, of course the child and her friend changed their whole attitude and acted like nothing happened then and I knew it was her from her voice. I told them both that I am here to pick up a bag (as stated multiple times on the phone) that my friend left and the child, I guess her brain started working then and thankfully it was strong enough then to process my statement. She then asked for my name and my ID (wow it's actually there, why was she lying?) and I did what she asked. She then handed me my bag that was right next to her LMAO REALLY? First time coming to Vegas and stayed with a friend at this hotel. The room I stayed in was clean but also the room smelled like cigarettes and it was really stuffy. The bed was really comfortable I can't complain. But they should definitely try to do some upgrades. The surroundings of the place is quiet and no noise at all so you can sleep decently. First, there was only one trash can, no hangers in the closet, no shampoo or lotion, no iron (you have to request one). The lights were flickering most of the time, not enough towels. This motel I stayed in was gross. When I walked in it smelled like pure cigarette. The btv doesn't even work. There is a bunch of marks on the wall. The handle of the door has a bunch of marks and has like pieces of gum on it. I tried to spray but a few minutes later the smell came back. Hotel Galaxy is a scam. When I booked the room the original price for room was $250 per night but I got it for $300 for two nights - Hotels.com. When I arrived I was completely disappointed. The room had cigarette smell and also wasn't very clean. They even provide you with a remote at the lobby. That should say a lot about the hotel (don't ever stay there). DISCLAIMER: DO NOT stay here if you are a local and have ANY warrants or unpaid tickets! At check in they make a copy of your ID because they are working with the police department. If you have any warrants or unpaid tickets the police department gets notified and they will come to your hotel at any and all hours and arrest you. They came and pulled my boyfriend and I out of bed at 10 pm at night to arrest him for an unpaid speeding ticket. They do not tell you that your ID is being sent to the police department which is such a scam! You should at least be notified. All they have is a tiny/crusty sign on the wall that you would never notice. These people are the worst. The manager, Carlotta, is a rude, unreasonable, lying con-artist! All she is good for is scamming you and stealing your money, and has ABSOLUTELY zero communication skills. She shuts you down as soon as you say something she doesn't agree with. No conversations. No being reasonable. If you check out a minute after 11 am you will be charged 30 dollars. The rooms are filth, completely infested with bugs and get this..... RATS! My boyfriend and I stayed up all night because we found a rat in the room and then it disappeared. Front desk said there was "nothing they could do" when we told them about it and said we needed help catching it. Completely refused any assistance, and would not let us switch rooms. Refunds? Ha! Don't even ask. It literally does not matter, they will NEVER refund you, no matter the reasoning. Try and ask about it and they will shut you down and refuse to talk to you AT ALL. HORRIBLE. This hotel is located in a galaxy called the Milky Stay Away!!! Many other reviews include details that I can attest are accurate. It really says something about an establishment when multiple customers are stating the exact same complaints. I never really do Yelps but this was so bad we were compelled and vowed to leave a scathing review. So here goes. #1 complaint -- ROACHES. Just disgusting. #2 complaint -- DECEPTIVE PHOTOS. I consider this false advertising which is pretty deplorable. Do not let the photos fool you. I can't believe they even advertise with these photos, must be photoshopped or otherwise edited. I am pretty chill when it comes to hotels...I have traveled quite a bit and stayed in so many types of places, from mega cheap basic motels to grand resorts in foreign countries. I'm easy to please and I get that sometimes, you really do get what you pay for. Yet I must say this stands out as one of the worst experiences. I have stayed at places half or even a third of the cost that are at least a decent, basic, clean bed to sleep on. When you are on vacation, finally get to your room after all that traveling to relax, and then realize it is nothing like what you thought you were paying $120 for (ridiculous price), it's pretty damn disappointing. I didn't want to complain so we just tried to relax...we were just barely starting out vacay so wanted to keep things positive. Yet how could I chill when shortly thereafter I look over and there's roaches walking around near your luggage and near the refrigerator!! Infuriated I went down to discuss and complain...of course there would be no refund or reduction in cost, or course I couldn't talk to a supervisor. The staff (2 women) admitted that the photos on the website were nothing like the actual rooms. That's just what the owner does. (?!?) Yet, there was this 'it is what it is, we've already got your money so deal' type of attitude. I was not taking that and demanded to be moved to another room the following day (unfortunately had a 2-day reservation). Slight upgrade, ok, I at least appreciated that. Got to that room and....you guessed it, another, even bigger type of roach! (I recognized this as a different species, so this is just an all out infestation!) The person on staff did admit there was a roach problem (who could deny it??), said they were doing some sort of renovation so all roach-hell was breaking loose. Totally unacceptable as a hotel; yet I did appreciate her honesty. She even showed me their most recent extermination records (I think someone had sprayed a week or so ago...based on the amount of roaches roaming around and others' complaints I don't know if that was a good sign or not). So yes it's true, there is an extensive, verifiable vermin problem here. IN SUMMARY: DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL BE BRINGING SOME NEW BUDDIES HOME IN YOUR LUGGAGE. Spend $10 more bucks and stay somewhere better. Or better yet, spend less money and I bet you'll find somewhere better! Spend your hard-earned savings on having fun instead of hangin' with roaches. Stay away. It's near the strip...yeah you can see it, but there's a huge expressway you have to cross over first so it's actually quite a ways walk to circumvent that highway. Not worth it. If I could leave zero stars I would. Last minute non refundable purchase prior to arriving in Vegas. I have never in my life been some place worse. I honestly didn't know a place like this could exist inside the United States. The people leaving positive reviews half to be owners, management or bought off employees. From the get go it felt more like checking into a prison than a hotel! Rude, short nasty person checked us in. Wouldn't even give us two room keys without a extra charge. I was terrified to leave my pickup parked inside their fence unattended. I felt like the fence was to keep the "guests from getting out"! The other guests looked mainly criminal. I told the wife "let's look at the room before we carry our things inside. We kept a sharp eye on the pickup while we walked into the room. The room was bad, really really bad. Looking at the door, it appeared someone had tried to kick it in. My wife said there was poop on the toilet. The room looked like it housed druggies and all other forms of vermin. We promptly left just as quickly as we walked in. We couldn't find anything else decent so we ended up sleeping in our pickup out in the desert near pahrump Nevada, and we were happy to do so! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR SO DON'T EXPECT MUCH HERE! i paid $80 total including tax for 2 nights here on a weekend and the only reason why was because how cheap the prices were! its by the in-n-out but basically almost on the strip. it's only a minute drive to the MGM! the cons about this place is the flooring. it's tiles which is pretty weird. the showers are small and somewhat dirty. the toilet seemed old. i felt that i needed to put a seat cover every time i needed to go pee! they had a nice new sink and was nice because they had good lighting for putting on make up! to turn on and turn off the tv you had to pull the plug out which was RIDICULOUS! the WORST part was that the door seemed like it didn't fully lock. it wasn't secured enough. THEY NEED TO FIX THAT! the only pro was the bed. it was HUGE and had clean white sheets. we didn't use the comforter tho... if you need a blow dryer you can give the front desk your I.D. and they will give it to you back. I have stayed here on two separate occassions. Up front: it is a cheap@$$ place to stay close to the strip. That means it's dingy, sketchy, and less than safe after the sun goes down. The clerks were friendly both times--once even charging me less for a room (they charge $10 more for a first floor room, and refused my $10 when I tried to pay after they mistakenly didn't charge me the extra fee). The place is a dungeon, but the clerks are nice and you get what you pay for. Beware of the pale lurker that may or may not be the manager however--I'm not sure, as he never identified himself as such. He watched me suspiciously as I unloaded my truck (DO NOT leave anything in your car here). When I asked what the problem was, he said he was watching to make sure I wasn't bringing in a dog. Decent customer service and basic human common sense would tell him to be friendly, announce himself, and not watch me from the shadows like a creep. But clearly (from others' reviews and my own experience) this misanthrope has no people skills and gives zero @#%& about what paying customers think about him or the business. So don't stay here. It may be cheap, but that creep of a manager coupled with the sketchiness of the place (I piled up all my luggage in front of the doors, as the lock is flimsy) make this murder-hotel a ZERO STAR destination. Worst place ever. They are a horrible business, they don't take "prepaid cards" when the last time we came here they accepted it with no problem. They still refused service and tried charging us $20 more to still stay and pay in cash they try to still charge us a cancellation fee although it was not our fault. This business is not eager to make a sale, they allow unsavory characters without a problem but when it comes to a United States Soldier they refuse to provide service. I booked this motel for a friend that was going to spend one night in town. I have to say that this is a cheap motel but my friend's room was very clean and the customer service in the front desk was excellent. I wish I could remember the lady's name that took care of us. We arrived around 5.30p.m on a Tuesday night. The lady was very friendly and her personality was really nice. She is definitely an asset for the company. Mr. Basti S, I just read your comment and I agree with you as far as showing confussion between my statement and the low rating. Besides the excellent customer service and the cleanlines, the front door were my friend slept was old and the lock showed signs of being repaired plenty of times, this made me feel a little uncomfortable and insecure to the point that I wouldn't recommend this place to a woman traveling alone. Update: in 6 days no one has responded to my email in any attempts to "look further" into my stay as stated by the Basti person who keeps responding to everyone. Terrible customer service. They obviously do not care about any negative reviews. Again, do not stay here DO NOT STAY HERE. The photos on the website make this place seem soooo much better than it is. And, the customer service is way below sub-par standards. Booked this room for Saturday, June 4th, because the pictures made this place look nice and clean and the price was right for the weekend night. I emailed/contacted through the website earlier in the week that my husband and I would be arriving later in the evening off a late flight in from Houston. By the time we got our rental car and headed to the hotel it was after midnight. The attendant was nice but not paying attention to what she was doing because she was checking her phone every 30 seconds. She forgot my ID in the copier. She NEVER said anything about being a late check-in or how that would effect the room we booked. She gave me the key to room 115 and a remote control for the tv (very odd). My husband and I drove around to our room. The key didn't work for the lock. The lock looked beat up and scratched up and seemed loose in its setting. We drove back around to the office. I told the girl what was happening and she pointed to a man sitting in a chair across the parking lot and said "go get security and he will have to try to open it" so we did. She gave him our key with 115 key chain and a different key. We drove back around and security met us. The key for room 115 didn't work at all, but the other key with a piece of tape that read 127 did but only after using all of his body weight to pull and lift the door and hold it in place while moving the key back and forth with force. Upon entering I saw (and smelled) that it was a smoking room and we booked a non. So I told security thank you but I didn't want this room, so we went back around. I told the girl that the 115 room key didn't work but the 127 did but only after having to physically lift the door and that I booked a non smoking room and this was smoking and that I would like to change because the door isn't safe. I was informed that because I was late checking in I lost the room I booked and that was all that was left and that I could check back out if I wanted. My husband immediately started calling the surrounding hotels and there were no vacancies. I explained that I had contacted the hotel to make them aware of my late check in and she said she had no note or record telling her and that was the end of it. Either stay in the room or check out. Naturally any hotel under $200 was booked so my husband and I decided to suck it up for one night. Do not let the pictures mislead you when looking for Vegas hotels. This was worse than a motel 6. Aside from not getting a non smoking room and smelling stale cigarettes and whatever else was smoked in there, the bed side table still had tobacco and ash, behind the bedside table hadn't been cleaned and there were cigarette butts and ash, there was sharp metal sticking out from the lamp in the corner of the room, the shower curtain only had about 6 rings on it, the door had about a half inch to an inch gap on the side that let light and bugs in, the carpet was dirty and stained, had burn marks and paint all over it. Upon checking out I voiced my issues to the lady who said I'll let my manager know, so apparently there is never a manager actually there. I also have not been contacted by anyone. read more

Booked a 1 room here in December 2019, and the room looks nothing like the pictures. I'm usually open to giving these places and reviews the benefit of the doubt, but do not do it for this place!! Another room was even offered to accommodate my reservation, but it was no different. I couldn't believe what kind of rooms this hotel have for people. No table to set your things, only 1 small face towel, only one bath towel, no bathroom trash bin, the walls were dirty, I can't imagine the bed and blankets.... I could not stay even for the one night I reserved it for, so I booked at another location and thankfully received my refund! read more

The place is a dump. Not what was shown online at all. After I got my key and REMOTE CONTROL upon arrival, I checked out within 20 minuets. Felt so unsafe. AC didn't work and it's Las Vegas in August! I made the mistake of not researching. My bad on that but the pictures online are definitely misleading. read more

If you like sleeping with roaches and filth stay at the galaxy.. me and my husband over slept and they threatened us with calling 311... very mature. Don't spend your money on this place.. very rude customer service and I did not appreciate waking up to screaming.. I rather have my card charged then getting threatened by the police. The room we stayed in looked like someone just left it after living there for years.. with the strong odor in room and how dirty it was.. please do not take your children to this hotel. Go to circus circus and pay the extra 20$ for even the other motels down the street.. swear worst customer service ever. read more

Do not let the nice photos deceive you like it did w me. It was disgusting! I booked this place last min and was aiming for cheap we booked if at $168 total. Man did we get ripped! I wish I had done more research and yelped it first but it slipped me. And when we demanded a refund they only giving $22?! Im still trying to call them to demand refund for what this place worth! Owner if you want business I suggest getting rid of those cat tongue blankets, the old dirt covered couch, upholster remove the ash filled carpet. read more

so my bf booked this room for nov 4 since during that date every other hotel was 140 the cheapest and this one was like 90. i saw the yelp reviews and i was waiting for dissapoinment with all the reviews .specially since i hate sleeping in hotels even expensive ones but this wasnt too bad was actually quite nice very clean staff was friendly in the weekens they have free breakfast which is basically just bread and spread but w.e it has a pool .i didnt get to check it out 12 mins away from the strip i would definatly stay here again only thing was the water handle in the shower didnt work so we had to take a quick shower with really warm water almost burning hot but it wasnt too bad i did put table cloths on the bed just because i dont like sleeping in hotel beds in general read more

We had the worst experience staying here! Room keys never working No electricity in the room Roach infestation Filthy room Bed Bugs Pictures are so fake this place is a dump. Believe me it's not worth it even if it's affordable. Customer service is horrible the front desk was super rude. Especially Kimberley she is a total bitch I was going to leave after the first night but they had charged three nights and stated they would not refund me. Stay AWAY!!!!
