A beautiful and picturesque hotel in a ideal location and perfect for your starting point for exploration. So, let me explain the best way to see Prague:
Harmony Hotel is on the edge of "District 1" where Old Town and all of the tourist sites are located. There is a bus stop literally right outside the hotel doors that will whisk you to that touristy spots like Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Vyšehrad Fortress. BUT, if you stay in the old town area, you'll likely pay around $200+ (depending on the quality of the hotel even more). Why would you do that? 15 minutes on the bus and you can stay in Harmony for $60 a night. No bus transfers needed.
During the day, and well into the night, old town is packed with tourists. The restaurants are overpriced in that area. You're captive and paying top dollar. For those 15-minutes, you're able to save hundreds of dollars per day. You can have breakfast at the hotel, or any one of the nearby pastry shops that are priced more for locals than the flock of tourists. You can enjoy your day in Old Town, see everything, and then go to dinner at a top notch restaurant near Harmony and pay half.
If you look at my other reviews, I travel extensively. I know what I'm doing. Stay at Harmony and save some HarMONEY without missing a single thing. Those combined 30 minutes on the bus will be worth it. read more
