Stopped for very late lunch and found the food, service and wine to be excellent. Great value too and gorgeous views of the sea. We had a 20 euro per person lunch which included a special pasta made with super ripe cherry tomatoes and anchovies, baby tuna simply grilled and fresh fruit. We also added a starter of fantastic melon and prosciutto and ordered a bottle of the local rosato which was fruity and dry, perfect with these dishes. When we come back to the area will return here.

My friend and I enjoyed having a late lunch at this restaurant in Praiano which is down a flight of stairs from the main road. We enjoyed personal size pizzas and salads and the service was great but most of all the view is fabulous. You can see across the bay to the neighboring towns. I had pizza with vegetables on it and light cheese topping. The espresso was good too.

My husband chose the beef ravioli, and I selected the truffle gnocchi with walnuts. My husband's ravioli were housemade and extremely tasteful. However, I would order this gnocchi Every single time, it was that good! The shaved truffle on top was the perfect edition! This will hands-down be one of my favorite meals ever! The view is absolutely breathtaking, we had the restaurant to ourselves because we chose to eat early that night and I'm so glad we did. It was the perfect beginning to an amazing trip.

I do like the freshly squeezed orange juice though! Staff are friendly, and there's an outdoor gym. I didn't care for the equipment as you can't really adjust the machines and it seems like it's also the smoking area. It's a bit difficult to do cardio in hot weather and smell cigarette smoke, so that wasn't very enjoyable. Pool is small and I skipped it. There's plenty of seats in the shade and they also have a small hot tub by the garden area separate from the pool. I really liked the tiny libraries and think that should be an option at all hotels in the States! I traded the books I brought and took new ones. Room is okay. They don't service it very well, sometimes only just making the bed and not taking out the garbage. I also felt like the shower was a smidge small and the folded up shower seat was discolored, so a bit off-putting. Everything is also so high up! Like the towel hooks and the toiletries. It's more work for us shorter people to reach! They also offer complimentary service around specific Praiano bus stops, so a bit nice... however, it's quicker at times to just walk it yourself.

The front desk staff were so sweet and accommodating.. they booked me a last minute room and it was for a solo traveler, since I was single, so it was small but adorable and luxurious and with the most incredible view of the ocean and pool. You can see all of positano from your balcony. I love the cool, clean and crisp ambiance here. There is already so much ancient architecture and history in Italy so it was nice to stay somewhere newer that felt clean and fresh. The all white is very calming yet there are pops of super cool art work and coffee table books around the hotel. We loved hanging out at the pool.. you can order drinks to the lounge chairs. And the restaurant next to the pool I went to everyday for lunch. I do wish they had more gluten free / vegan options actually on the menu.. seeing as it's a hotel with lots of travelers of different diets.. but they gave me a delicious fruit plate and fresh gluten free rolls with a side of avocado which I appreciated, and luckily I'm a light eater so this worked fine. The location was great right between Praiano and Positano. And they offer free shuttles to get around since there are no Ubers and rarely taxis on the Almafi coast.. so this was very helpful. The staff went above and beyond with every detail of our stay. I've stayed in world class hotels around the globe and there is always somewhat of a snobbery or just people who aren't friendly but here they were amazing, so kind and made the whole experience perfect so I would definitely return.

Just to start off, pulling up to the hotel it is covered in beautiful blooming bougainvillea and lush flowers. The property is amazing, so small, cozy, clean and well decorated. The rooms were perfect. So clean and fresh and I loved the theming. They have really great AC, the bathroom and tile were beautiful, and they even have colored lights in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. Best part is the balcony, which opens up to a scenic view of the cliffside and the ocean. Breath taking. The family runs everything there, from the front desk to the restaurant. Alecia and Frederico were always staffing the front desk. Alecia would even come outside to greet us when we came in and always inquired how our days was. She was a delight to speak with and always helped us with recommendations. Frederico was so fun to talk to and felt so genuine in everything he did. They assisted us in booking everything we wanted, from a scooter rental to transportation needs. Literally a one stop shop of everything! The best service I have received staying at hotels... The hotel has a shuttle car that they will use to take you to Praiano or Positano any time of the day until 11pm. Luigi Sandra or Daniela will be driving you! They make nice conversation along the way and will get you there fast and safe! That was literally a lifesaver to have that amenity, so we took it into town every day then took other transportation from there. Praiano is a nice 10-minutes walk away but was needed to go to Positano. Now, the highlight of the hotel and experience was the restaurant. It is not open to the public which was so nice to have quiet and purposeful dinners. We though we would be eating in the town each night, but Daniela's cooking at the restaurant had us eating there every night of the stay!! Daniela, Luigi's daughter, does all of the cooking and is a trained chef. They have an amazing menu and are flexible to customize and make off menu items. Every dish we had there was so delicious and flavorful. Best part was the service and not having to fight any crowds. You will dine on the terrace and look out into an amazing view of the ocean and the town. Daniela and Genaro made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Genaro delighted us with little surprises of dessert and Limoncello after our meals on some occasions. He was a pleasure to talk to. All of the entrees, drinks, and dessert were above 5 star quality. Michelin quality!! Why would we want to eat anywhere else!? And just wait for the breakfast.... Amazing and filling! Overall, this was literally top 2 of hotels I have ever stayed at in my entire life, maybe even the best. I loved every moment being here and i hated the fact that we actually had to leave! I could have spent our entire Italy vacation here at Hotel Pellegrino and on the Amalfi coast. 100/10 experience!

The owner, Luigi and his family went out of their way to make sure we had more than what we needed to make our Amalfi Coast holiday memorable. The shuttle service to Positano made it much more convenient than driving our rental car. We visited during April, and the Jasmine was in full bloom. The vines surrounded our balcony overlooking the sea, and the floral aroma was intoxicating. Nearby lemon trees in bloom also added sweetness to the springtime fresh air. The in-house restaurant does a wonderful breakfast for hotel guests. Dinner is also open to hotel guests only, and with the quality of food, a wide selection of local and regional wines and a full bar, it was one of our favorites of our trip. Some cooler evenings made the fireplace a cozy and much appreciated bonus. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we decided to visit a 2nd time during our short stay. We also visited another boutique hotel to charge our electric vehicle before we left Praiano. The people there were very helpful and friendly as well, but we can't wait to return to Hotel Pellegrino. The dinning room literally looks over it. Which I do want to touch on the food I ate twice there the first time it was fine (extremely over priced) but the second time was terrible (and extremely over priced). It was nice of them that they made me a Happy Birthday plate but it was laughable when they listed someone else name on the plate LOL. If I would have known that I would have booked either with a private balcony or somewhere else. If I wanted to relax or privacy I basically had to be stuck in my room. The rooms were pretty ran down with holes on the wall and chips all throughout the floor. The shower is extremely small and both the shower and sink would take forever to drain so you would shower literally standing in water up to your ankles. It was just underwhelming compared to what was advertised. The location is okay if you're familiar with Amalfi Coast but if not it can be hard to get around or get help. I mention when I first got there how to get to other towns near by and she explained that they only have 2 beaches in which she could help me reserve a beach club at one but then nothing ever came from that. She recommended taking the bus to the other but no details about the bus. After some of my own research I also found the bus is how you get to the neighboring towns but when I went into the visitor place down the street from the hotel the lady there was confused on why my hotel was assisting me. The whole thing was overwhelming and frustrating. After no fallow through with the first question to them about getting around and beach club reservation it just felt like I was on my own and could not get help from the hotel. My other frustration is the way they try to scam me out of additional money for a hotel transfer. I sent an email requesting to have a transfer from the hotel back to the airport it was sent more then 24 hours in advance. They then emailed me advising that departures before 7AM or 7PM would endure an additional 20euro charge. I then got a call at 8PM the night before saying I would be charged an additional 20euros because my request was not sent within 24 hours to their response to my first email. Besides the fact that none of their emails state that, she then said it's because it was after 7PM I explained to her one her email states the 20euros is if I'm leaving before or after 7 on which I wasn't and that I sent my request more then 24 hours in advance requesting a transfer I was confused on why I would need to confirm I need a transfer if that is what I am requesting. She then stated she would contact the driver and see in which they did it for the normal price. As someone who travels to quite a bit I would recommend probably looking elsewhere that you could get better quality and care for the prices your paying
