This place definitely grew on me the longer I stayed. Once I realized I was supposed to check in at the bar, the staff was helpful. My room want ready so they stored my bag until it was (they also stored it again on my last day). The rooms are definitely more of the "efficient" nature but since I was by myself it technically worked. The bed was a bit on the small side but again not a huge issue since I'm only 5'4" and was by myself. The bar at night gets busy and was good for myself and my coworkers to hang out at. One night we even ate here out of convenience and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Breakfast buffet was also good. My only real complaint was that I wanted more than 1 towel and a wash cloth would have been nice (note I also didn't ask for one). read more

I started a new job and the headquarters of the company is located in Prague, Czech Republic . I was able to go to attend orientation in Prague at the of March 2024. Upon entry, I thought that I had entered the wrong building because the entrance looked like a bar/restaurant. I was so confused. I went to the counter and the front desk associate asked if I were checking in. Once he said that, I knew I was in the right building. I checked in and went to my room. Upon entering my room, I noticed an elongated room with the bathroom on the left side and then the bedroom past that. The room was plain and basic. There were two beds in the room and they were on wheels. I rolled both beds together to made one large bed. The hotel attempted to update the bathroom. The was no shower curtain to prevent water from escaping the shower; however, there was a partial wall of glass to keep most of the water out, but the glass was not long enough. After I existed the shower, there was so much water on the ground. The design of the shower was poorly designed. The gym didn't have much equipment and the equipment it had was basic. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great. They had so many options and the food was good. The location of the hotel was not too bad. I was able to get to all places by foot, transit, or Uber. Overall, ai would recommend the Pentahotel to those looking for a decently priced hotel with a good breakfast. Also, there is a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant right next door to the hotel. read more

This place is so hip and cute. It has a Harry Potter ish feel to it with it being dark themed. At nighttime they have a ton of candles lit around the bar. Check-in for the hotel is at the bar as well. I haven't seen that before, but that is cool. They serve breakfast in the morning. The vegan options were pretty good. They had different kinds of non-dairy milk, bread, spreads, oats/cereal, chia seeds, and other toppings. Most importantly, they have an espresso machine. The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. Stayed 4 nights and would recommend! Smart looking and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Fun ground level lobby - full service bar, pool table, fireplace, PS4, and tons of lounge chairs to just hang out and meet people. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. Huge spread with delicious foods! Very impressive. Kept us full until dinner. Great price for what you're getting. Great location - away from the Uber-touristy areas but steps away from the metro station, so all of Prague is easily accessible. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights. Upon arrival, I thought the bus driver accidentally dropped us off at a dance club, not our hotel. Super modern and super swanky. Strobe lights, disco balls, a pool table, a fake fireplace and even a PS4 station in the lobby. The "reception" is the bar. That's right: the bartenders will check you in, serve you up some local Czech drafts, and act as your concierge. They were all friendly and all spoke English. The breakfast staff, on the other hand, was not so friendly. When breakfast is over, they mean it. We saw some people try to sneak in to grab some food toward the end of the service and they got scolded. In any event, the spread is really good. The pain au chocolat stands out the most as far as the pastries, but I was also impressed with the cheese selection and quality of the coffee and tea as well. If you stay here, request a room on the opposite side of the main entrance. The tram runs all day and night in front of the hotel so if you're not a heavy sleeper, you may not get much rest. Then again, I can't guarantee you won't hear the tram if you stay across the hall either. It might just not be as loud. The only other minor downfall to this hotel is that it's not really within walking distance of all the tourist attractions. That said, the hotel is located just a short walk away to the Krizikova metro station. Take a left outside the main entrance and it's about 3 blocks down on the left. From here, you're just two stops away to Namesti Republiky where Old Town Prague is within very short walking distance. From Krizikova, you're also only 5 stops away (transfer at Mustek) from Malostranska if you want to walk up to Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane, etc. read more

Excellent stay. There's a 24/7 full bar & food in the lobby (um YES please!), the breakfast buffet is also in the lobby daily from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the rooms are a decent size. The rooms are decorated with a metro IKEA vibe and the beds are large. We upgrade to the larger room and it was well worth it. My only tiff..... the hairdryer. It's one of those dryers that come fixed to the wall and only work if you keep pressing the "on" button. They're also very heavy to be a blow dryer. Half was through my getting ready process I had to take a break from trying to hold this heavy dryer while pushing the on button. I could have brought my own so that really isn't on the hotel just something to keep in mind! read more

Loved this hotel as it seems very new and modern yet the main lobby has a great atmosphere. You could play a game of pool, use the playstation and watch sports in these great leather sofa's. At the bar they serve a great deal of different cocktails, beers and wines and for a late night snack they got pizza's! The room was clean, spacious and had a huge comfy bed so I would absolutely recommend this hotel. If you want to go to the city you have several options like the metro and bus that stop within 5 minutes walking distance or you can go by taxi, this will cost you approximatly eight euros and is so worth it. read more

Located about 5 mins via subway / 8 mins Uber from the main part of district 1. It's a very hipster hotel = modern and cool. I'm in my early thirty's and loved to see this place having the fun and young vibe. Kind of killed the mood to see older tourist groups staying here. When you first walk in you just see a bar, which is both bar and reception desk to check in - again very cool. They also had plenty of lounge furniture, a pool table and PS4 to occupy anyone. I didn't like was that I arrived 1 hour before check in and they could not accommodate me so they left my luggage with like 13 other people in the bar itself as bag check. Later when I was able to check in, all they had were two beds. The room itself is average. The shower in the bathroom is awesome with two different shower heads (the rain fall one and a shower head that detaches). I had a small balcony, but no chair outside so just to stand and stare I guess. I ordered room service once and it was the front desk/ bar that took my order and delivered my food (short staffed I guess). Food was excellent! I had the quinoa chicken salad and a lemon ice tea. I only made it down for the free breakfast once, but it looked like it would be a great start to any day with plenty of food options. I also worked until 5am one morning and came back to the hotel to find people still at the bar and I myself also sat down for a morning beer. The bartender was super chill and didn't mind having people at the bar at that time. The hotel was next to several really good Czech restaurants, that had modern decor as well and next to a Starbucks for any Americans that cannot live without it or experience local coffee shops. I also liked being a 1 min walk from the subway which was the fastest and cheapest means of transportation to anywhere you needed to go. My only suggestion would be to add mini fridges in the room as tourists usually buy snacks or beverages for the room to cut down of expenses. Overall, I would definitely stay here again! read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - IT IS AWFUL Not anywhere near center of Prague - about 30 minute walk in a neighborhood that is not very safe at night rooms reminded me of a youth hostel - we were there 3 nights and our water glasses and coffee cups were never changed. hallways are black and dark and dingy beds are uncomfortable no minibar/ fridge in room no check-in/ reception - the reception is by the barmaids at the bar cash register. no restaurant. a buffet breakfast bar which is awful - a buffet dinner bar which is awful not worth one dollar. stay away read more

really nice hotel near public transportation and not a bad walk to city center. the atmosphere is very modern and geared towards younger crowd but definitely enjoyable. had an issue with the drain in my bathroom but the staff was nice and able to get it resolved fairly quickly. walking distance to a lot of good local food joints and bars. even a brewery. would definitely go back there when in town. read more
