Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. There is a drug store just across the street for water and other needs, but we brought all our own. Can't wait to come back and stay here again and explore the town!

Getting to know the owners is always a pleasure. The property is very well maintained and beautiful with all the amenities you could want. Gym, pool with a slide for kids, lazy river and negative edge pool, swim up bar and poolside restaurant. We typically rent a specific until ocean front on a higher floor which we love. The only drawback and the reason for this 4 star versus 5 star, is the one restaurant by the lobby called La Maria. It's a beautiful Restaurant with a beautiful bar. However the food is absolutely terrible and the service is nothing to talk about. It's a shame to have such a beautiful restaurant on property that is one of the lamest I've ever been to. Hopefully someday someone comes in to make it a nice place to eat and enjoy without having to leave the property. The crazy thing is the pool bar/restaurant and room service both have a better menu and better food than this restaurant. FYI. No need for a reservation and I don't recommend wasting your money there. However, the resort is excellent with great amenities, just skip the lobby restaurant.

Book With Certainty: Refund Process Has Been Extremely Difficult…read more I can't comment on the resort stay itself because I never got the opportunity to visit, but my experience with the cancellation and refund process has been very disappointing. I booked a stay on June 21, 2026, for July 17, 2026, and paid a $456.72 down payment. After learning I could not travel, I submitted a cancellation request with all required documentation on June 27--well before the scheduled stay. As of today, I still have not received my refund. I have remained in regular contact with customer service, but the explanations have varied, including payment-processing issues and being told that my bank was refusing the refund. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved. I understand that technical or processing problems can happen, and I appreciate the representatives who have responded to me. However, a refund should not take this long, especially after a timely cancellation with the requested documentation provided. Potential guests should be completely certain of their travel plans before booking, or at minimum be prepared for the possibility of a difficult and prolonged refund process if plans change.

We were going to arrive pretty late and so we called her to see if we could still check in that late. She said she would stay awake for us. She also provided us with cold bottled water when we arrived and filled some bowls with fresh water for our pups. One of our dogs also totally fell in love with Diane. She even gave us some limes from her own kitchen for our beers! Diane rocks. The inn's architecture and interior is adorably unique and quirky. I've never seen anything like it. The rooms are super cute and there is also a shared upstairs patio with couches and chairs. That's where we watched the sunset. Beautiful. Everything is very clean and well maintained as well. And our room had AC. The location is great as well. You are right by a water front with a strip of shops and restaurants. At night, apparently, there's lots of partying going on but with the dogs we didn't really look into that. We had lunch at the blue marlin, ice cream at thrifty, and breakfast at jungle juice, all of which was very good. There's no beach within walking distance, though. Prices are reasonable. We paid about $170 for two nights. I would recommend this inn to anyone and plan to come back.

And this one will forever be my favorite. This family owned business is walking distance from the beach and they also own the off-roading vehicles across the street. My favorite taco spot is on the left of this place and they're real tacos not taquitos and for the same price as everyone else's with beans! Back to this hidden gem, they're so sweet, and the rooms are extremely clean! These ladies know how to keep a very clean place, not even a grain of sand left over. We chose this resort specifically for the heated bar pool, which is the only comfortable swimming option year-round. However, after this experience, we will not be returning here. We traveled here with our 2 year old son and are currently expecting another baby. The heated pool is a necessity for us, as young children cannot safely regulate their body temperature in the other "upper" pools, which are unheated, frigidly cold and not surprisingly almost always empty. In all our years coming here, children and adults have coexisted in the heated lower pool without issue. There was never a "nuisance" problem. This year, as my toddler was about to get in, we were stopped by security and told he wasn't allowed. The only sign posted states that children under 3 must wear a swim diaper. Our son was wearing one. When my husband addressed this with management, he was told it is a "new rule" that children are banned from the only heated pool on the property. Telling a family with a toddler (and soon an infant) to use the unheated pools is dismissive and medically soundless. Next year, when we have a 6 month old, we won't be able to use any pool on the property because the resort refuses to heat the family-accessible areas. This arbitrary rule has effectively ruined our vacation. If you are traveling with small children who need a comfortable water temperature, do not stay here. Sonoran Sky has made it clear that they no longer value families here. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Inquired @ the front desk & asked to inspect a room. He gave us two rooms, one ocean view , one desert view. We were shown these rooms by a nice housekeeper. Both rooms were identical, except for the view.Cost difference $15.00 a nite. With three nites I opted for the savings. Rooms are nice , we had 2 Queen beds, & the tub was very nice for soaking. We tried the continental breakfast which was complimentary in the morning. It was very good with a wide variety of breakfast foods, scrambled eggs with sausage & Chickalitos were the main dishes! Guillermina Gutierrez who runs the kitchen & dining room was so delightful, helpful and has a sweet personality. We enjoyed her!!! This is a clean hotel. Housekeeping was great, exchanging towels & service to the room was perfect! Looking forward to our next visit! Would be nice to have a refrigerator& microwave as no ice machine was open, we purchased a 7 pound bag , which they delivered.Food not being available after breakfast till the restaurant opens for dinner, a microwave would be nice to have. The sandy beach is the cleanest in Mexico, the tides are extreme so the beach and view are ever-changing. The park is large, flat, sandy. No palm trees or green except by the hot tub. It is very well staffed; the same faces every year to help with a problem. Security all night long; we see him walking all night with his flashlight. There is a community-managed 'Social Club' wiht Karaoke, Bing, LRC, Zumba and Line Dance. There is also a nice group of every-speed bicyclists in the winter months. Plus potlucks for special events. Nice Hot tub and showers.laundry. Vendors come through with propane, water, shrimp, breakfast burritos. This is a GREAT place to have work done on your RV! Paint, repairs, upholstery! I'm rating it a 5 because of the cleanliness, safety and location. It is what it is, it is NOT a palm oasis, but it is a well managed park in a great location.
