We rented 2 rooms. One room had the door open, hand towel not folded, fridge and microwave were dirty, dried white stuff on the door handle and hair in the sink. The second room had hair in the sink, no tissues in the tissue holder and hand towel looked like it had been used. read more

I stayed there this past weekend and had one of if not the worst hotel experience ever. First the walls of the rooms are very thin as you could hear everything in the rooms next door and they have a washing machine on the floors that shakes your room like a Boeing 747 if it's running. I also had friends staying down the hall and they said they were kept up all night hearing running water from the plumbing in the walls. Management was unbelievably rude, condescending, and simply unhelpful. They rooms themselves look nice but were not clean and several of the things in the room didn't work like the fridge and one TV. I would recommend you stay elsewhere as I know I will in the future. read more

So I give this place a shot every other year or so. My return 01/2025 visit showed next to no improvement since first coming here six years ago. First of all, rooms themselves are a 5/5. Clean, spacious and have everything you'd expect for the rate. Beds were very comfortable and they provide pillows with different levels of firmness. After that, everything else drops off. I had initially made a two day reservation, but a couple weeks out called in and asked to make it a three night instead. Instead of modifying the reservation, they made an additional reservation for that extra night. At check in, I got a room location that was the exact opposite of what was requested in my Best Western Rewards membership. Erika checked me in, and she was amazing. Honestly, she was what kept me from just leaving and going to Hilton Garden Inn. After check in though, and making it to my room, I find the room is absolutely stripped bare. Mattresses have nothing on them, bathroom is empty and there's garbage on the ground. I go back to Erika and she has no idea what happened. Clearly wasn't her fault, but someone elsewhere is failing her. Erika sees the note on my membership and gets me a room location based on preferences. I confirm with Erika that housekeeping is only by REQUEST during my stay. The placard in the room says it's to not bother you as much, lol. I ask her to have the room done Saturday. On arrival to this room, EVERY SINGLE drawer and cabinet is WIDE open. Fridge door included. I started to wonder if the place was haunted. lol. The following day, breakfast came and I saw it's still very disappointing. Bland food, watery scramble eggs and limited selection of breads. Walking back to the room, I saw the housekeeper on my floor, a Hispanic lady who has a young child with her in the room, singing and having a good time. I would see this housekeeper more through my three-day stay and saw she clearly brings her little girl to work with her every day. On one occasion I saw the girl refilling soaps in the hallway, and on another, saw the housekeeper in an occupied room, sitting on the chair talking on the phone while her little girl sprayed down a cabinet. The housecleaner did come on Saturday and did a really good job. She actually showed up while I was there and did not speak a single word of English; and had trouble communicating through a translation app. Breakfast on Saturday was bad again. Bacon as thin as paper and overcooked, and like my last stay, the crew starts packing up around 8:45. Breakfast is over at 9:00 here, on a weekend. Also, the on-site restaurant is closed for renovations or reimagining or whatever. My last gripe is the on-site EV Charger. The charger used the Blink network. I used it overnight and saw Best Western has Blink charge $2 for using the spot, plus whatever the usage fees are. It is written in the terms that the property sets the parking fee, not Blink, and as far as hotels goes, this isn't entirely uncommon. After parking overnight, I found out the parking fee is PER HOUR, so my EV usage turned into $33 for a "half tank" of electricity ($10 worth of electricity, $23 in parking). I brought this to the attention of two front desk agents, who said they would bring it to a managers attention. This never got addressed, and via text, my request to have it deducted from my room was literally ignored. It's pretty clear to me that the problem here is MANAGEMENT. The general manager clearly has no grasp on what's happening transactionally with their guests, or with their supervisors and employees. Reading through these reviews, I'm not certain they're even reading the ongoing similar complaints. This hotel would be great for someone with low expectations and only staying one night. Outside of that, go to the Hilton Garden Inn or other comparable hotel. read more

This is where I stay when traveling through Bend. Now there's a Mexican restaurant in the same building, El Corporal. I didn't eat there because I picked up fast food in Bend because the pizza/hot dog restaurant that used to be I the building wasn't very good. The Mexican restaurant was packed last night so I will try it next time I stay at the BW. read more

While I don't frequently say at any BW property as I am HHonors Lifetime Diamond with Hilton, staying in Bend there was not much other choice. So, I decided to take a chance and stay at this BW Premier property. On my travel to Bend, I saw in the BW app that they have a status matching program. I sent the email with all the requested information and within 30 minutes I was elevated to BW Diamond Select. The process was very easy and I was pleased. The room I booked was a King with a sofa. The room was clean and fairly new, so no problems with the room. The reasons for the 1-star are related to 3 items: 1. Housekeeping is only every 5-days. This is just unacceptable as we are no longer in the throws of COVID-19! 2. The onsite restaurant should not be considered a restaurant at all. The food offerings are very limited and the prices too high. As such, I ordered DoorDash every night. This pseudo restaurant was one of the reasons I booked at this property. Clearly a major disappointment. 3. Lastly was my checkout experience. As my plans changed, I checked out a morning early. I was informed that since it was less than 24 hours that I would be charged for the night. Totally unacceptable business practice! After receiving the receipt via email, I see that they pre-charged the total amount for my stay at check-in. Not just an authorization, but full amount charged at check-in! Again, this is totally unacceptable business practice especially for business travelers who's schedules frequently change. I will be calling BW corporate about this practice and demanding a refund for the charged night that I did not stay. I will also be notifying Citibank who handles my company's corporate credit card and challenge the billed amount. If you decided to stay at this property, be aware of these questionable business practices. I highly recommend looking into staying elsewhere! read more

My family and I just checked out, and our stay was great. I'm adding extra stars to help balance out the (imho) weird and finicky complaints some other reviewers had lol The exterior of the property is well-maintained and during our two-night stay I witnessed a lot of continued cleaning/landscaping and maintenance being done to the building. The front desk help were all helpful and communicated clearly, and were kind. We had an issue with our door not locking after arriving and the front desk sent up maintenance immediately to have it fixed. My one complaint: the doors to the bathroom. They are the sliding doors that leave a good gap . Not very comfortable lol I made my boyfriend leave the room so I could do my business. These types of doors are universally hated lol And the coffee station could use stir sticks and flavored creamers :) read more

I stayed at the Hotel Peppertree in Bend, OR, part of Best Western Hotels & Resorts, and experienced a serious security breach. My family and I were given keys to an occupied room, giving us access to someone's personal belongings, including luggage and electronics. Despite reporting this immediately to the front desk, we received no follow-up or apology from the hotel management during our stay. What is even more appalling is the complete lack of responsibility displayed by Best Western's corporate office. After reporting the incident on April 20, 2024 (Customer Service Number: CR838680), and being assured it would be handled by Hotel Peppertree directly, I discovered my case had been marked as resolved without any communication occurring. A month has passed with no attempts at resolution from Hotel Peppertree or Best Western corporate. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable. I am extremely displeased and strongly caution others when choosing accommodations. You may have a random person enter your room, and this hotel does not care. read more

Incredibly terrible customer service. I attempted to cancel two rooms here due to wildfires. Bend was experiencing extremely terrible air quality and the concerts and outdoor activities in the city had been canceled. I spoke with Joey on the phone and he was rude and condescending. I attempted to try find a resolution with him or perhaps a credit for future visits. However, he was frustrated with fielding calls all evening (his words) and was just downright rude. At a hotel that claims to be a "premier" property, I expected a more professional conversation. I would never stay here or recommend to anyone. I overall like the hotel. I came across this hotel when I googled in area. I like that they offer decent complimentary breakfast, free self parking, nice size pool and has a recreational room on site. Disappointed that their pizza restaurant has changed to a Mexican restaurant which I didn't have a chance to try because kiddos wanted pizza after hitting the pool. Lobby was roomy, plenty of chargers while waiting for checking, nice little bar that also has kids friendly options. Friendly staffs. Pool was a nice size with hot tub. Area looks clean and had the bathroom and a shower area. Fitting room was ok with yoga balls and running machines. The complimentary breakfast was nice. Bacon, sausages, eggs and potatoes were the hot items. Also has pastries, toasts and muffins along with cereals plus fresh fruits. Now, let's get to the part that minus their stars. Upon entering the room, all looks good, decent size and plenty of towels. We had the double queen beds with two twins for the family. Both twin beds were missing the clean sheet that separate the blankets from touching your skin. We had to get them from the front desk and make the beds ourselves. The blankets had chocolate stains on both twin beds with hair under the blankets. We found hair ties on floor that belonged to the previous guest. One of the lights did not work and the fridge was very weak. I think overall the hotel is ok and has many nice details throughout the property but their housekeeping team need to be retrain. read more

We loved our stay at this hotel and here's why: -Beautiful decor and clean rooms. -Friendly staff and service. -Pet friendly and lots of areas to walk our dog. -Location is quiet yet still close to many popular dining and coffee shops. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the experience we had from their restaurant (Z Pizza). Our in-room service took over an hour when they told us it would be 20 min. By the time we got our food, the chicken wings, calzone, and hot sandwiches were lukewarm. Plus, my son found a hair in his meatball sandwich. :( The breakfast cafe in the morning is from 6-9am. We got there around 8:30 and all the empty tables were not cleared of previous customers' dishes. So we had to clear a table ourselves. Basically, you order at the counter and then take a number to your table. They may have been short staffed due to the holidays, but it looked like there were many people still waiting for their food before we received ours 30 min later. I think it's still a great place, we will definitely come back to this hotel again. read more

The worst hotel experience maybe of my entire life. Bathroom was filthy, hairs all over the shower, and the shower pan was so dirty I wished I had shower shoes. The room was terrible, you can hear every toilet flush, door slam, etc. But the very worst part are the people who work here. They couldn't care less. I checked out after one night and the man at the front desk said they would refund me for one night since I was supposed to be there 3 nights and their policy was 24 hours notice. Well apparently the manager changed her mind after I left. She said they offered me a new room (which was a lie) but I wouldn't expect anything more for such a low class place. Booked a room for June 19th for three nights. Due to rising Covid rates the reservation was cancelled a full two weeks prior to check in. At the time of booking there was no required deposit, or penalty, for canceling reservation. However, this property charged my credit card over $200 for cancellation, even though this was NOT stipulated in the original reservation. And REFUSED to honor original reservation guidelines. So, I had to get some learnin' about Best Western on this trip. If you see "Plus" in the name, they really are trying to offer a nicer place than the usual bargain roadside motels in the BW chain. "Premiere" means they're pushing even farther. This place is a little too costly to be a screaming deal, but it's a good deal, and it's nice enough to spend a little extra. It's in between a bargain and a luxury, though, so I could see people going both ways on it, for good and for bad. Every place in Bend was filling up last week, though: probably with firefighters rotating off the front lines of all the wildfires around here. So I had to take the room that was available, and this one turned out to be just fine. The lobby's big, the parking lot's huge. They have plenty of staff, and they all seem to know what they're doing. There's plenty of that mountain-region big-sky light pouring in everywhere. The architecture is boxy, but they keep a nice feel to it. Elevators are quick, and the rooms upstairs are spacious. Beds are firm but more comfortable than most. TVs are ceiling-mounted in the room, plenty of channels. Plenty of places to plug in to charge phones. Big fridge, comfortable chairs. Nice Keurigs in the room with local coffee. Great way to start the day. The bathrooms are big and clean, and like many spaces throughout, they're built with fairly interesting-looking tile and materials. The showers are shaped like little hallways instead of tub/shower combos, and the water pressure is decent. The art is somewhat less bland than most hotels. They want it to feel nice, and they don't overdo it. I appreciate that. There's a pizza place with lots of beer taps in the building, and a lobby bar with hard licks and a couple taps. They have the usual overpriced candy shop near the desk, too. read more

I'd be happy to give this hotel 5 stars but they fell short in some pretty important areas. The location was great, the premises lovely, staff was friendly and amenities were very nicely done. They fell short in a few key areas....our room was x01 and it was right by the road so all you heard was the cars going by fairly loudly. The other one was that every time the bathroom was flushed on any rooms over us, you heard a great big loud dump of water go through the pipes at all hours of the day. Although the bed was comfortable the sheets were low quality so they were scratchy and the pillows were quite uncomfortable, the same low quality paper products for the bathroom. I chose this new hotel due to its proximity to dear friends I was visiting in town. I am so glad I did. It's new, fresh, extremely clean. Parking was easy. Check in, a breeze. Everyone I came in contact with over the four days I was there was delightful. If you're someone with allergies or asthma, this is a fantastic place to stay. No stuffiness in the morning! I was able to check out the pizza parlor - had a delicious little Hawaiian pizza. Traveling around Bend from this location was very smooth. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you! read more

We arrived at 3:30 and they wouldn't let you check in till 4pm even though the room is fully ready they want to charge you a $20 early check in fee. We booked the day before normally we stay at Marriott properties however we were on a road-trip with the family and looked at Marriott and there was limited availability for twice as much so decided to give this property a shot. Nice! We had a family suite that was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everything looked brand new. Close enough to downtown to be convenient without having to put up with the noise and light polution of a downtown hotel. My family enjoyed the great indoor pool and the breakfast was plentiful with many offerings to choose from including a cool machine that makes pancakes with the touch of a button! Staff was courteous and professional. The only knock was that the phone in the room was a cordless job that didn't work at all. Still and all, that was a minor inconvenience at best. Beds are too hard. Shower is Luke-warm, at best. The rates are absurdly high for a basic hotel room, nothing special. The whole hotel, and the room, smelled like pizza due to the pizza parlor in the hotel. The self closing doors slam so loudly they will wake you up. The lighting in the bathroom is so poor you can't see to shave or apply make-up. Staff, parking and breakfast sandwiches were decent, but there is absolutely nothing unique or special about this hotel and it's certainly not worth the rate. Forget Bend. Vacation and do business somewhere affordable and pleasant. read more

Went there for my sister's bachelorette yesterday (around 3pm on 05/16/2020) and was greeted by Mo who already had a Beyoncé playlist playing in the lobby to greet us. She was so bubbly and genuinely excited for us ! She even made sure we were away from other rooms so no one else would have to worry about any noise, just in case. The hotel was clean, decorated nicely, and very welcoming. The breakfast wasn't anything great but it was tolerable. The only downside throughout the whole thing is the lady that was working this morning (05/17/2020) who was supposedly named "Heather". She had an annoyed attitude and seemed put out by every little thing. She also went back on several of the wonderful and kind accommodations that Mo had planned for us. She was not in any way friendly or welcoming, so much so that we didn't even bother to go ask for simple things we needed because of the major inconvenience it seemed to be on her. Completely unacceptable. If not for her I would have happily given a 5 star rating. Everything else was wonderful ! read more
