So this place has a lot of pros and a few cons. I was searching for a hotel that was fairly nice BUT also allowed pets.. Which is tough to find a place that can cater to both. This place does allow pets for 10/day. The hotel was only 4 months old when we stayed at it and everything looked pretty modern and nice, Definitely a league above any best western you have ever been in. The staff were friendly. The breakfast food was average-below average hotel food. The pizza joint connected to the hotel was pretty good, much better than I expected. Parking is free and easy The main Con... The rooms are very noisy. They have installed large barn door style doors on bathrooms and closets in each room that are not very quiet. It didn't help that we were next to an entrance door. Hotel is clean as it's brand new. Nice game room, modern decor. Staff is OK. Breakfast is nothing exciting and they'll be charging for it starting Nov 1st 2018. At breakfast they were showing RT news on TV. This is a Russian propaganda channel and they were interviewing Putin while we ate. When we asked them to change the channel the girl got really difficult and flustered and said, "why? It's just the news?" Great customer service. No matter your political views, when every table in there has kids eating at it, you can change the damn channel when asked. If you can't change the channel, say so. This is a very new Inn, 5 weeks old when we stayed here. We came into Bend from Moscow, ID on our way to see Crater Lake. We didn't have a reservation, but were lucky enough to find a room here. The young lady working the front desk was very friendly and answered any/all questions that we had. The room was terrific! It was very clean, spacious, included a mircowave, refrigerator, and a flat screen tv with direct tv. and it had a modern feel to it. The only knocks were that there were no local channels on the TV and that I had to go down to the desk to request a do not disturb sign, as one was not in the room. The workout area was clean, offered fresh towels and water. The pool area had a strong chlorine smell to it, but that is kind of expected when it's an indoor pool. Breakfast was a poor experience for us. The food was not bad, but there just was not enough room for so many people in such a small area. read more

Dirty beds, phone in room didn't work, light bulbs in room burnt out. Beds are rock hard. They put us next to the mechanical room, there were hardly any guests there. They also put a loud family directly on the floor above us. It sounded like they were dropping bowling balls on the floor at 4:30am. At check out the woman was rude and after several minutes issued a sarcastic sorry. We wont be back. Save your money and stay somewhere else...any where else. We came for a relaxing time away and got no sleep. read more

I have stayed here many times and this time I have to say room cleanliness is horrible and Lorena Rosad, manager on duty is lazy, and does not Know how to do her job. Stay anywhere else. My couch is covered in dog hair and this hotel did nothing to remedy the situation and help my allergies. I will follow through with this to corporate. Big disappointment. When talking to the hotel about a billing error, Kara Nixon whom said she was a manager began to belittle me on the phone when I told her I was mentally challenged. While discussing why I was overcharged for my room Kara Nixon began laughing at me and said I was trying to take advantage of her. Yesterday I had called, 01/07/2020 about the over charge, today my credit card was charged again for a higher charge than previous I believe because of my complaint. Not only did Kara Nixon of Best Western Peppertree in Bend Oregon continuously laugh at me and refuse to answer my questions, she discriminated against me when I explained my disability by saying I was using it to take advantage of her. When I make reservations through Best Western I always disclose my disability so the team, customer service is aware. She has caused me undue distress and embarassment by laughing at my disability, making false accusations. Do not stay here, the showers are COLD, the staff is colder. I wasnt offered my points, express checkout, never greeted coming in or out (stayed 5 long days). Needs a staff overhaul, training in customer service and the manager fired! read more

It's my husbands birthday so I called the hotel and asked SKYLAR if they could do something nice and right away she was up for the task. Great attitude. She offered to go above and beyond. I stayed at this hotel in Bend for my birthday weekend August 27-30 of 2020. I am going to try to be thorough here. I paid extra for a Mountain View room. My advice to you is don't do that, because what I got was a view of the parking lot. I have a photo, I hope it lets me attach it to the review. I wrote in to complain about having paid extra and no one commented to me at all, no response about my complaint and no acknowledgment that I'd lodged it. Moving on. The room itself was really nice. Loud, but nice. The staff, while we stayed there, was very friendly. They unlocked the bike room promptly on request and always accommodating little requests, like a comforter for our bed (there was only a sheet and thin blanket) or some hand soap which was missing from the bathroom. When we left, my boyfriend and I split the cost: half on my card, half on his. We got receipts for this transaction. Two days later, I checked my bank account and find out I had actually been charged the entire room fee. I had him check to confirm that he hadn't been charged then, but he had been charged for his half of the room. Thus, we paid 150% of the room price. I immediately contacted the hotel. Someone unhelpful who didn't want to be bothered said he would have a manager call me the next morning. About 10 am I'd received no call, so I called again. This time I got someone who checked the account and confirmed we had been charged more than once. He apologized kindly and said a managers code was required to start my refund. He promised me the manager would call in a couple hours when he or she arrived. I appreciated his efforts and thanked him for apologizing. The call never came. The next day, I called again. I, admittedly frustrated, asked for a manager and was told to hold. I was then disconnected. I have called back since then four times over about five hours and the hotel no longer answers my calls at all. I had to dispute the charge with visa to get my money back. Ultimately, this hotel is not worth the trouble. The staff couldn't care less and can't be bothered to fix their mistakes. For the sake of your visit to a wonderful town, do not stay here. Watch out for misleading info!!! We booked a suite and it said 1 king bed + 2 twin beds on the booking. It turned out there was no king bed in the room but a queen bed instead. I called + emailed the GM to resolve but she never returned. Final discount was $10 /day for $430/nite. What a nice discount!. Lol! The funny thing is the final bill was even higher that what Booking.com quoted me out of the door. I had to do some argument to get the correct balance and they gave me a face. DO NOT STAY HERE. We spent almost $1,000 to stay here for 3 nights and on day two we had no water for hours. Day three we had someone walk into our room unannounced without knocking. I have a loud 4 year old in my room that almost got out because of this staff member. If I can hear him outside of the door so can they. when I called the front desk to complain they didn't even so much as apologize all they did was make excuses!!!! The room's are basic af. Pool is basic af. Self check in at the front never works. Their snack selection is trash. We stayed here months ago and paid no incidental fee. Yesterday we were charged one and today we weren't so apparently the rules vary based on who's checking in because we always book through a 3rd party. The short female manager with the curly/wavy hair has an attitude every time I ask her a question idk what her problem is. In the 3 days since we had been here we have seen ZERO ppl of color. They will treat you differently and speak to you differently than the other guests here and then say that they checked in other minorities as if that justifies their actions or you're simply overreacting. $300+ taxes every night to have NOTHING but problems every day. This hotel is honestly not worth it. If you're paying hundreds of dollars you might as well go to the Hilton or Marriott. I thought about if I wanted to share this review or not, but decided it may be valuable for others, as this weekend we lost all trust in this hotel. We checked in on Saturday. Dropped our stuff in a seemingly nice room and headed out to explore Bend. We got back to our hotel and put our baby to sleep on the pull out sofa. When my husband pulled back the covers to get into bed, we found blood all through the sheets. It was probably the most disgusting thing we've ever experienced and our first instinct was pure disgust. We had our baby on this bed, and we were about to sleep in it. There was zero cleaning done whatsoever. My husband marched downstairs with the sheets and demanded new ones. They said we could change rooms, but our baby was already asleep. We got new sheets and slept fine. We also found a dirty towel (soaked in coffee... I think?)shoved behind the microwave. The manager spoke with us the next morning and offered a 75% reimbursement and his apologies. We didnt fight for all of our money back, as he was pretty adamant about only 75%. My irk with this, is that it was beyond disgusting and uncalled for. How bad would it have had to be in order to get our room fee back in whole? Was the $40 really that important that you couldn't offer guests who were utterly disgusted and upset their money back? I just dont understand. There was no cleaning of the sheets at all. Or anything else for that matter. That makes me lose all trust in this hotel. The manager was nice, and apologetic. But at the end of the day, it was just too much for us to come back here ever. The hotel looks nice, its brand new, they allow pets which is great in our book, and the atmosphere is nice, but cleanliness comes first. read more

The hotel itself is brand new and very nice The pizza pub attached is really good The entire staff were incredibly friendly The only issue was the continental breakfast We arrived thirty minutes before it was over- the food was 100% gone- the nice man who works there explained that the skiers stock up on the free food, leaving none for other guests- while I sympathize, that isnt really my problem- I would have paid for the breakfast, as there is no other way to get food- They would not give us anything to eat- We shared a can of Pringle's Charge for food if the skiers are an issue- If you say food is served until 10, there should be food available until 10 read more

I'm giving this a one star review because the bathroom doors don't actually shut (they slide shut and have about a half inch gap from the wall) and right now I'm having to listed to my Mom take a dump. Stayed here two nights while visiting Bend and we're so glad we did. The hotel was very clean, customer service was great and room was comfortable. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't any room service in between our two nights even if it was just to replenish the coffee and cups. Great selection for breakfast with plenty of food choices. Perfect location for exploring Bend and walking the river. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

I travelled with a large group. Check in was fast & easy. The leader of our group called the hotel about an hour ahead of our arrival and the room keys were ready when we arrived. My room had two queen beds. The furnishings were clean & comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice large walk-in shower. The staff were friendly & helpful with recommendations of where to eat. we stayed this past weekend and have stayed at this hotel in the past. first off the conditioner in the shower was empty, no big deal so I asked if we could get it refilled when they tidy up our room. apparently they don't do room service unless you ask and get on a list. okay great she put me on the list. came back later that day/evening to find the room not tended to. they did come in and fill the conditioner so I wasn't going to complain. we went to pack up and leave and my husband noticed his cologne which he put on the day before when we were there was missing. I brought it to attention after searching the entire room to confirm. and the hotel refuses to do anything about it since it wasn't placed in lost and found. the manager was suppose to Call me and never did. We had an excellent stay! Room was large and spacious and a quick $10 Uber ride to downtown.

I stayed here once before and it was nice. Very well appointed. The parking was meh, as the stalls are super narrow. If you don't have folding mirrors, you can forget opening your door if you don't drive a compact. (I had to climb in thru the window once.) I reserved a room that I've had before. Not a special room, but a room that met my needs. My standard request, and I had made this request the week prior and was told it was all set for me. I arrived here after driving for 6 hours. I waited in the parking lot for 2.5h waiting for it, and ended up getting another room that I didn't really want once they realized that the maids had gone home. Check-in is 4pm. I arrived at 4:30pm. I got to a room around 7pm. They offered me free beer for this but I don't really like beer. So accepting the room I didn't want, they made me keys and I wandered down the hall to my room. I open the door and lo-and-behold.... there's some woman in there and her dog started going nuts at my intrusion. I excuse myself and return to the front desk. After another while, I get another room. Yes, they gave me a room that had already been given to another customer. By the time my day ended, I was telling myself I will never stay here again. It's very well appointed, somewhat snobbish but that's Bend. After this calamity, that I've never experienced in any hotel before, and I've been staying in hotels for 30 years, I would recommend you find somewhere else to stay. It's nice, but it's the little things just make it grate on your nerves. The staff is super nice, but they can only do what they can do. If this hotel is set up improperly, then this will only continue. And those showers... better crank the heat before you step in as it's an open design, and make sure of your footing because if you slip, there's sharp stone edges awaiting your descent while you try to walk out of it. Can I recommend this place ever? Sure. Redesign the parking lot, the showers, and your booking system and we'll be golden. None of those are going to happen so good luck with this hotel. read more

So we got here at midnight on a Thursday. The gentleman in the front desk Who is helping another customer with giving him towels, He made eye contact with me and I went up to the front desk and I looked it he wasn't there. I walked around for at least 15-20 minutes trying to find this gentleman who made I can't take with me and he knew that we were checking them in but just disappeared. I went to the back where they had breakfast and looked for him and kept calling "hello is anyone there" but nobody answered and I kept walking back-and-forth to see if he'll come back. Unfortunately he didn't come back. So I had to call the hotel and then he finally came up to the front desk and checked us in. He didn't even apologize He didn't even tell us why he was in the back for that long. If you was in the bathroom which makes sense. But a customer deserves a apology especially when you make eye contact and then all the sudden you walk in the back without warning a customer saying I'll be right back. But that was the only bad experience we had which was unfortunate. The rooms are not that bad they're clean. But this place is a little bit expensive . Overall it wasn't that bad. When you start a trip out with BAD Customer Service it puts a sour taste in your mouth. But again it's all about communication and customer service at the end. The rooms were absolutely clean there's nothing against that. But the service just needs to be a little better. Specially when your spending $275.00 a night and if you make eye contact with the customer and you disappear for 15 to 20minutes for no reason without warning the customer that you'll be back or not. read more

This was a three night stay during spring break. As soon as we got to our room I noticed that the floor in the hallway and bathroom have not been cleaned as there was some hair behind the toilet and what looked like some dried food stains in the hallway, orange in color, maybe orange juice. After a long car ride I wanted to make coffee, however, there was no creamer so I opted to go to the lobby and get some coffee which is readily available any time of the day. Kids wanted to go out and explore the town so I decided not to address the issues until we got back to the hotel. We got back to the room rather late and my son wanted to go to sleep right away. When he pulled back the comforter to get into bed he noticed hair on the pillow and got my attention. The sheets looked wrinkled and there was hair on the sheets and two of the other pillows as well. I called front desk and let them know that we need fresh sheets. There were no extra sheets, pillows, or blankets for the pull out sofa bed available in the room either. The lady who worked at the front desk promptly came upstairs and changed our bed sheets and apologized. I showed her the hair on the bathroom floor and the food stains in the hallway. She apologized profusely, said this was unacceptable and that she will leave a note for the manager to contact me the next day. I did not hear from management the next day or the day after. On our 3rd day there I saw the same lady who changed our sheets at the front desk and I let her know that I had not received a call from management. The manager was standing right next to get so she promptly told him what had happened. The manager apologized and asked me if I was a rewards member. When I told him I wasn't, he asked me if I wanted to sign up to become a rewards member and if I did so, he would be happy to give me an additional 500 points as a reward for my inconvenience. I let him know that I wasn't planning to become a rewards member since I was disappointed with the expense and customer service I had received this far. He then proceeded to offer me a free pizza. I let him know that we had already eaten so that was not very useful for my family at the time. Then he said since I booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com), there was nothing he could do for me and turned his back. I called hotels.com and told them about my experience and they contacted the hotel directly. The hotels.com rep. said that there was no record of my complaint anywhere so the hotel couldn't do anything for me. Very disappointing experience. read more

We always stay at best westerns. We were looking forward to staying at the new one in Bend. The hotel is pretty and new. My problem was with the little things that make your stay enjoyable: a working remote, coffee in room and when you go to the lobby and that coffee is out too! No hot water for tea in the entire hotel the person in breakfast area sorry It is broken. We were entirely disappointed and will not return. read more

The hotel was clean an nice looking. The double queen room was small. The bathroom was large but very cold. It had no heat lamp or heat source for the open bathroom concept, the stand up shower didn't even have a curtain. Miserably cold shower. On top of that my AC unit failed and the phone didn't work. I checked my family of 4 out before the sun came up due to the room being 62 degrees. The regional manager Khara and the location managers Alex and William did nothing to rectify my terrible stay. I paid for a whole night and only got half. After calling the hotel 2x a day for a week, when I was assured a manager would call me back the day after I checked out. Since they found nothing wrong with the unit they only offer me $20 refund. This is the worst customer service I have received after a unsatisfactory stay in a hotel. read more
