Across the street from a Farmacia Guadalajara (and a mobile hot dog stand), this smaller older hotel is in many ways very well situated for going places in either direction along Camarón Sábalo. Rooms are functional rather than fancy. While in Mazatlan, I visited quite a few much more upscale places where people I met were staying. Doing so didn't make me regret staying at Solamar Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant (Futury) is pretty good if you don't want to or have time to go elsewhere. While the (unheated) pool lacks a scenic view and beach access, it is still nice to swim in or sit around listening to music played. read more
