A good, clean place for travelers if you are looking to put your luggage down, take a nice hot shower, and get a good nights sleep between your explorations in Rome. The rooms were basic, not fancy, with a comfy bed, television and small bathroom.(My only complaint is the door in the shower wouldn't close, so it was hard to get your hair and biscuits clean, without making the bathroom look like a scene from Titanic.)The hair dryer in the bathroom also blew a fuse and the whole room went dark, which made me a little nervous to touch anything electrical.
There is a wonderful free breakfast buffet in the morning. The cappuccino is excellent. Lots of choices for children to eat as well. The hotel is surrounded around some great restaurants that are all in walking distance, as well a one-stop shop convenience store a couple doors down. There is an excellent hole in the wall restaurant within walking distance, that has thee best bruschetta I have ever had in my life. (What they say is true about the tomatoes being exceptional in Italy) Strangely enough, it was my favorite meal while in Rome. Simple but incredible. I cannot remember the name of it, but if you exit the hotel, and walk about a block, it's on the right hand side.(Their outside patio is complete with laundry hanging from the residents balconies above;))
The hotel is in close Proximity to Vatican City, the Colosseum, National Roman Museum and Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels. I would recommend starting out early, head out to Vatican City, and then to the Colosseum afterwards. We were able to fit both places in in one day with ample time to enjoy both. Overall, a great part of the trip, and nice stay in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy.
Note:
Breakfast buffet includes: meat, cheeses, carbs galore, cereal/muesli, juice, coffee, cappuccino and juices.
Nice outside patio to sit, relax and have some down time.
