Very clean, fast workouts, well worth the cost for 24/7 access to the saunas and workouts

However, F45 has changed my lifestyle: mentally, physically, emotionally, health, and much more. F45 is a team training environment and every workout varies (which makes it fun). I've been attending F45 for the past 6 months at least 5 times a week and my body has changed (My abs are Back) haven't seen them since high school. I honestly have so much energy now and I'm always on the move without complaining throughout the day "I'm tired." The gym is always clean the atmosphere is friendly. The trainers are always willing to help, they are motivators, and above all polite and friendly. F45 music is AMAZING! I've lost over 15lbs, my cholesterol levels dropped, and can now say I eat way healthier! (Why: because after a good workout you want to maintain your body looking great.) I'm also thankful that I've been able to make friends, which helped with my transition to State College, PA. "F45 team training, Life changing"

I've been going to this gym consistently for at least 5 years now, so this review is coming from…read moresomeone who genuinely likes the place and wants to see it improve -- not just criticize it. This is definitely a premium gym. At $26.99 bi-weekly (around $58/month), it's on the higher end compared to competitors like Crunch where memberships can be around $12/month. To be fair, the gym does offer good equipment, solid machines, and overall cleanliness. The atmosphere is nice, and it generally feels like a higher-quality facility. However, for the price they charge, I really think management needs to do a much better job maintaining basic amenities and hygiene-related items. For example, the men's restroom has 3 sinks but only 2 soap dispensers that honestly look 20 years old. One of them has been broken for a long time -- it's supposed to automatically dispense soap when you place your hand underneath, but it either responds very late or doesn't work at all. Now the second one is also acting up. In a time where COVID and other viruses are still concerns, I find it very strange that these basic hygiene amenities are not being properly maintained. It's super annoying, especially for a gym that markets itself as premium. Again, I'm writing this as constructive feedback because this has been my favorite gym for years. I really hope management takes these concerns seriously. I'll gladly update my review if improvements are made.

The equipment is in generally good shape -- I've only found one loose bolt in the few weeks I've been going there -- and they seem almost obsessive with cleaning (a very good thing). There is a pretty good turf area with a sled and battle ropes as well. Everyone working here is friendly and helpful, and it seems to be a place where you can get in, get it done, and get out if you need. The locker rooms are clean if pretty basic. I don't use the saunas and such, so have nothing to report, but they are a thing. Light Crowd: I haven't seen it crowded at all. I should probably disclaim that I lift six days per week in the early afternoon, so I avoid peak hours and don't have any input on them; I'm told mornings are busy. When I have been there, it's been a mix of abilities and ages, with people generally keeping to themselves and being reasonable even when it's a group of younger "gym bro" types. Not Perfect Hours: I miss my gyms of recent years that were open 24/7 or at least had greatly extended hours, seven days per week (e.g., 4a-midnight). The gym is only open six days per week and doesn't seem to have the extended hours I generally expect from large gyms in other places. They were closed over a recent holiday, and I didn't know about that closure until I saw a small sign on the locked door -- there was nothing on the website nor any text/alert indicating the reduced hours. My one suggestion for this place is to figure out if there's a way to grant 24/7 access or at least be open 7 days per week. Everything else is just fine for me as it is.

CrossFit Acernus is one of the best and friendliest boxes in Lebanon and surrounding areas. The…read moretrainers are all knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone that goes there is awesome and encouraging. With some other boxes around here, you're met with an elitist attitude. I won't go so far as to name names, but some of the people that go here travel from the Palmyra area because of the elitists from the other box. The facility is large and clean....don't be fooled by the exterior. The class sizes are kept to smaller groups, so you get more attention. If you can't do the WOD because of some injury or you just can't do some of the exercises, they will accommodate with alternatives. The price is really great compared to other CF boxes...starting at $10 a session. Granted, it isn't "globo-gym" priced, but you basically get a personal trainer working with you on every session. I have several friends that signed up for the YMCA when they were doing discounts for family memberships and they have gone a handful of times. So that $200 unlimited membership is probably going to cost them more in the long run and I guarantee they aren't getting a workout like we do. CrossFit itself is just amazing. You work hard, there's no doubt...it's not for everyone. I've been going here since it's grand opening last year and have seen some serious gains. I started out barely being able to do 20 consecutive squats and not a single pull-up to now deadlifting 255lbs and 10 consecutive strict pull-ups. I didn't really intend to lose any weight but I've dropped 2 waists sizes and have gained quite a bit of tone and muscle definition. Downsides? I had to buy a lot of new clothes. It's addicting so I find myself going to a WOD instead of mowing the lawn. You risk becoming a CrossFit Cult member.

Never again will I set foot in a "globo" gym. It's a waste of time. With CrossFit Acernus, I'm faster, stronger and can go longer. Every workout focuses on strength, conditioning, flexibility, coordination, and the list goes on. The trainers teach you and take you through each and every workout in a small team setting. Its not like your typical gym, its more like a family of fitness. Warning: You will be challenged but you will be in the best shape of your life!
