Houlihan's is usually pretty good and you're quick to be sat and provided service. My chicken sandwich was fried perfectly but I didn't quite care for the sauce and the blue cheese crumbles were a little overpowering. Fries were VERY tasty and so were my two drinks (Pink Elephant and margarita). Our server was great. Always look forward to coming here!

The service was prompt, the restaurant was a nice location by the river. The food was good.

We've been here twice when visiting. We've enjoyed our meals both times. Saturday afternoon, I had the appetizer sampler - mushrooms were especially good. My husband had the lunch combo salad & club sandwich combo - salad was larger than expected (that's a good thing). Sandwich was good too. The biggest negative is the bartender is also the hostess and the waitress - and she can't see people waiting to be seated while she's working at the bar. We had to tell waiting customers to find her at the bar - they were getting ready to leave. Don't get me wrong - bartender/waitress/hostess worked her tail off & was super-friendly.

    Spinach, artichoke Classic Spinach Dip

This place was a bit concerning. I would not recommend this to anyone. The best thing we tried was their spinach artichoke dip but it was definitely old and half the chips were soggy. We asked for the burger to be cooked medium and it was raw. It was uneditable. They should change the name of the chicken sandwich to the blue cheese sandwich. It was drenched in blue cheese. The fries were good and the waiter was very nice. He was the only person working the entire restaurant. He was the host, server, and the bartender and still did a great job. There are definitely better places in Columbus, Georgia.

I had breakfast this morning and Shan was cheerful and fast. The buffet was typical hotel fare but it was hot and delicious.

Was told by my colleagues that the Parker house rolls and cinnamon butter was great. I had the summer salad (spring greens, cherries, strawberries, and a HUGE knot of burrata cheese, with an additional grilled salmon). This salad was incredible. Highly recommend! The table shared some deviled eggs. The pickled onions on the deviled eggs was so good. Everyone dipped their fries in the chili crisp oil and agreed it was one of the best flavor combos of the trip. Our server gave us an extra side of it and gave my friend a side of kimchi to add to his burger. Just great all around service and vibe. While the restaurant feels like the height of 2015-2020 design (let's road trip in our sprinter van to a shipping container cottage!), everything feels airy and good to be there

The hostess was warm and efficient, seating us immediately. Our server approached with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her craft--she was direct, professional, and all business in the best possible way. Even as closing time drew near, she kept my glass refreshed without needing to be asked, a small but telling detail that spoke volumes about her attentiveness. The space itself strikes a pleasant semi-formal note--clean, polished, and respectful without veering into stuffy territory. Behind the bar, the bartender was meticulously wiping down every bottle, a quiet display of care that set a tone of genuine pride in the operation. We began with a dozen oysters: six raw and six char-grilled. The raw specimens were on the petite side for the price, yet delivered a clean, bright, and pleasantly saline flavor that let the oyster speak for itself. The char-grilled version arrived with a savory Parmesan crust that brought its own appealing character--rich, cheesy, and nicely caramelized in a way that felt unique rather than derivative. The crab dip, however, was a standout. Far superior to the often disappointing versions we've encountered elsewhere, this one tasted of genuine lump crab meat, folded into a properly cheesy, indulgent dip that avoided any unfortunate "buffalo" detours. Served with crisp crostini, each bite was balanced and deeply satisfying--an authentic crab dip done right. The Korean cheesesteak offered an excellent harmony of flavors: tender, well-seasoned meat beneath a luxurious blanket of melted cheese, punctuated by the bright, spicy kick of kimchi and the refreshing snap of pickles. It was delicious, though for the price, I wished for a more generous filling and a bit more heft to the sandwich overall. The mac & cheese arrived in a commendably generous portion, with a beautiful Parmesan crust on top. Visually appealing, the dish unfortunately fell a touch flat on the palate. The noodles were properly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce, yet it lacked the depth and seasoning one hopes for-- a pinch more salt and pepper would have elevated it considerably. The fish and chips presented a towering mound of fries that carried decent flavor but lacked the shattering crispness one craves. The real disappointment lay in the presentation of the fish: two fillets stacked atop one another, causing the steaming heat to turn the once-promising breading soggy and prone to sliding off. That said, the fish itself was excellent--flaky, moist, and delicately sweet with a lovely buttery quality. It was the unfortunate interaction between steam and crust that kept the dish from greatness. The roads were a little dense, so not necessarily my particular style, but I'm good. The butter that came with them was very unique to say the least. To drink, both beers arrived filled to the absolute brim and proved so enjoyable that I would gladly order them again without hesitation. Overall, the evening delivered solid, thoughtful plates in a well-run environment, with several bright spots that make a return visit tempting--particularly for those oysters and that excellent crab dip.

When I search reviews on a business before going, I don't just accept them at face value, but rather, read them and determine if the reviewers are just entitled brats. lol Now that being said: here we go... ha ha This place was the worst experience I can recall with a business in nearly 50 years of life. It was very cold outside, and looking at the online pics looked like it was open-air seating only. So I called them to ensure there was also indoor seating at this cool looking bar. It was 8pm. The man reassured us there were indoor seating options. He then asked "are ya'll coming tonight?" I replied that we were. He then said "how long?" I then asked what time they closed. He replied at 10pm. A little perplexed, I let him know we were on the way. Red flag #1. I told my husband I didn't want to feel rushed out the door if they were trying to close early and didn't really get the vibe they wanted our business. He suggested we just give them a try anyway. When we pulled up, we noticed maybe 3 cars in the parking lot of this very big property. Red flag #2. As we entered the hotel, the gentleman asked us if we called about the bar. We said yes and he directed us to the entrance doors. The entrance was essentially the exit... to the outdoors. HAHA It was approx 40 degrees outside. As my husband and I looked a little perplexed, a female approached where we were standing, never even looked at us or acknowledged us in ANY way and said to the gentleman, "WHAT DO THEY WANT?" He informed her we were there for the bar. We asked where the indoor seating was. Y'ALL... this man took us back in the hotel lobby and pointed at the lobby area. You want us to eat a late dinner and have drinks at this cool looking bar, but in actuality we sit where patrons eat their continental breakfast and are served by someone who has all but said "why are you here?" What?? So... my husband and I said no thank you and went to Cowboy Town which is a very short drive away. Please go there instead. Great food and drinks with a super cool small town vibe, live music, and barrel racing most weekends. Maybe when the weather is warm and the pool is open, The View would be a cool establishment. But it needs to be seasonal only and absolutely closed the remainder of the year. Bless it. I do believe the reviews you see are mostly BS. Please pay very close attention to the details of them.
