Great coffee!! I loved the seasonal flavor they had, and the spider was so cute for Halloween! They also have tons of outdoor space for people to sit and chat or work

I really liked this place! It was very cozy and inviting and for some reason felt very homey. The barista was on her own but did such a great job even with having a line going! I really enjoyed my coffee and I love the ice they use!

I hadn't tried this Houndstooth location yet, and I'm pleased to report that my visit was delightful. The building is in an interesting divided space - you can order on one side, walk to an outdoor patio, and then there's a second storefront with seating. The baristas here were so thoughtful and kind! I purchased a bag of "Tweed" roasted coffee beans - they asked if I needed the beans ground, and comped us a large hot coffee. I ordered a hot cocoa for my kiddo and they smartly added a little cool milk so it wasn't piping hot. The chocolate glazed donuts were sweet with a heavy dose of cinnamon. I ordered a flat white which was creamy and pleasantly bitter. The weather was nice, so we nabbed a picnic table on the patio. The red yucca was in bloom and we enjoyed people watching, lots of folks were making their way to yoga and rock climbing classes next door. There must be a dog park nearby - Houndstooth had water bowls for dogs set out on the patio.

My husband and I ordered the iced americano and iced oat milk latte. They did not pull fresh shots, so maybe that's why the coffee tasted sour and not fresh. Very mid coffee. Would not come back.

One of the Best coffees I have had. Iced Vanilla Oat Milk Coffee was $7.38. No price postings anywhere that I saw . I was not really paying attention to them make it but my sister described it as they kinda just swirled the syrup and everything and gave it to us, which made sense since the bottom was more sweet then the top. It came out too fast... for my liking. Again, it was an amazing drink, just tiny and way over priced and not being open about their pricing.

Went to this place on a Saturday morning and ordered an iced vanilla latte for myself and iced matcha latte with honey. The drinks were decent but not the best I ever had. The staff was quick, attentive & friendly. I do wish they had just a few more flavor/sweetener options but I will be back to try it again!

Very Good Vanilla Latte. Fantastic service. Nice work/study atmosphere. Energizing pulsating music. Backless tall chairs to counter seating. Otherwise, low cold chairs for quick visits. Will come again for a to-go latte when in area next. CHEERS!

Calm and peaceful vibes, coffee is 9/10 for me

Drinks amazing Service amazing Ambiance is clean and esthetic The barista was super cool

North Dallas seems to have a bit of a coffee desert. While in uptown and downtown, independent coffeeshops are fairly ubiquitous, you really can only find Starbucks and the Whole Foods Allegro coffee anywhere north of uptown until you get into central Plano. The addition of a Houndstooth location to the area, an independent coffeeshop based in Austin with locations around Dallas, is a huge reprieve. Serving coffee and espresso using TWEED coffee beans and Moreish donuts along with other pastries, Houndstooth has it all. This location is in a wooden "treehouse" structure, in two rooms just off the northbound US-75 frontage road (northeast corner 75 and walnut hill). One room is the coffee bar and some bar-style seating options, while the other, quieter, room has built in desks for the laptop-ers. Decently priced, and with all the alternative milks you'd expect, definitely make this your coffee stop in North Dallas.

Ordered cold brew w/ oat milk, went into the trash after 1 sip

Smooth, bold, perfectly balanced... it's become his non-negotiable order, and honestly, I get it. I don't usually grab anything from the bakery case, but everything always looks so fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented that it's tempting every visit. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. Circle is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of service that feels genuine and makes you look forward to coming back. Whenever I'm in the area, Merit Coffee is an automatic stop -- great drinks, great people, great vibes. Always a highlight! P.S. There's always folks working here, so it must be a popular spot to answer a few emails.

This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.

Amazing coffee spot in a cool Walnut Hill complex…read more I like the vibe here and their coffee is always on point. I've only been during the day and always spend a little time working before a coffee meeting. The WiFi is always good and the coffee is great. The ambiance is very open and inviting as well. They serve small bites as well but I haven't really partaken. Additionally, I think they have several beers on tap and they appear to all be cool local brews. If you're looking for a good local coffee shop with a vibe, this may be your new spot!!
