    Snakebite Sando
    Trisha A.

A wide selection of alcoholic beverages. Tables secured to the floor. Plenty of seating. Limited outlets. I thought I had decided on what to eat but then turned to see their specials and changed my mind. I ordered the Snakebite Sando which consists of smoked sausage, jalapeños, broken egg, bacon, roasted poblano, cream cheese, American cheese and raspberry jam on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. What?! Normally I'd eat half and save the other half but this bad boy is going down!

    Cultivar Coffee, Peavy Road, Dallas

Coffee was great but this is not a hangout sort of place. Drink your coffee, hang out with your friends and talk, head on to the next. My cold brew was excellent but I was really hoping for a place to chill for a bit. That's not here. Parking is tough and I would not have expected the lot to be so full at noon on a weekday but they share the lot with multiple places that were busy. The person taking our order was very friendly! My husband ordered a cold brew, and I got the lavender honey bee! Both had great quality coffee. The latte was not very sweet, so depending on preference you may want to ask for more sweetener. I asked for a hot latte, but I was given an iced latte. I think because it was hot outside the person taking the order may have automatically thought I said cold. When they called out the drink, I hesitated and the man said if it wasn't correct, he'd redo it. I went ahead and took the cold version! But they were very kind about the mix-up! Would definitely go back to try the sandwiches that looked delicious. They have lots of seating and a relaxed environment.

That biscuit is the truth! Homemade and the turkey as well. I love the coffee options. The was a unique blend iced. I love coming to this place when I visit Dallas.

    Deconstructed Brekkie Sando. Yum!

Delicious, comfortable, quick, accommodating. I was in search of a good biscuit and these didn't disappoint.

    Birthday cake latte (seasonal)

Yummy with a capital Y! I chose the seasonal Birthday cake latte on ice (sprinkles optional). The barista had the perfect phrase for it "a complex vanilla". I loved it. They do their own syrups (except sugar-free latte). I especially liked the fact that I could still taste the espresso in the drink.

    The Local Honey

I had the local honey and it was very good, highly recommend this place for those who are really into the specialty coffee world! Service was great, the barista was very nice and accommodating, you could tell he loved his job. Be warned at coming here past 3 pm! From 3-6 pm, it's outdoor seating or take out only. Don't take your date here if it's raining or super hot past 3 pm!

I love this place, when you order a doppio they give you a full can of sparkling water, Win!

The Local Honey and artichoke-romesco pastry

Oh lord, how I love Cultivar. I cannot sing its praises enough. Their local honey has become my favorite drink of all time -- it's a latte lightly sweetened with honey, and it is the PERFECT marriage of sweetness to espresso. It's not too sweet, plus they use local honey in it (obviously, per the name). Add the honey whip on top for an extra indulgent treat (but it's $1 extra on an already expensive price point, so save that for a day when you really need it). I also cannot emphasize how amazing their artichoke romesco pastry is; I haven't ever had such a deliciously, perfectly buttery, flaky, savory pastry before, and it pairs so well with the Local Honey, too. The quality of the espresso, pastries, consistency of drinks, and versatility of options (they're great hot or iced) keeps me coming back. The fact that they share this space with a biscuit/sandwich shop (Goodfriend Package) that SLAPS is just an extra perk! Despite this coffee shop being the farthest away from me and being a bit pricier than my other go-to spots in Dallas, it is 100% worth the drive and I am truly sad to be leaving this place behind soon. Re: parking, BE CAREFUL not to park in the adjacent lot that is usually empty. This is for Royal Pour (an establishment that is not even in this complex but an adjacent one) and they are ruthless about towing. Cultivar's lot doesn't have a ton of spots so when it's busy, you will have to circle around a few times and maybe wait for someone to leave before you can park, but trust me, it's worth the trouble.

My fav coffee shop in Dallas by far! It's a great spot to grab a coffee or lunch with friends, or to take your computer and work for a bit. Staff is always awesome and coffee is fantastic. WiFi is fast too. Highly recommend! They also have a large beer selection for take away and to make your own six packs.

Lavender bee (16 oz) and iced mocha (12 oz)

The actual coffee shop seating isn't too small but not that big either. They have two counters in which you order coffee and pay at first and if you want have food on another counter they make in house. I only got coffee but the food looked good. I got their seasonal lavender bee drink and my boyfriend got the iced mocha. Both had a good coffee taste but were not very sweet. A little pricey compared to other coffee shops in the area.

Pretty crowded and loud. Not necessarily a coffee shop to study or work at. I got a hot vanilla latte, 1/2 sweet and it was great. Barista was friendly!

I was really excited to visit Cultivar. I've seen a lot of local coffee bloggers post about it and was excited to check it off my list. After reading some reviews on here I thought I'd try a drink that wasn't a caffeinated latte because I didn't want to underwhelmed. I like my coffees to pack a punch. I ordered the golden oat which was really good! It wasn't sweet and it had a nice touch of cinnamon flavor between the turmeric, which is the focus of the drink. However, if you do get this drink make sure you are continually swirling it in your cup because the turmeric settles at the bottom. I didn't do that and my last 2 drinks were straight chalky turmeric, lol. My bad...still a good drink just keep on swirling! There's minimal table seating but we went when it was pretty chill, so we were able to grab table and hang out for a little bit. There's some natural light from the front windows and the plants all around make the vibe really calming. Customer service isn't bad, but fairly mediocre. We're hardly over here in this area, but if I every am I definitely want to try it out again to give them the benefit of the doubt. I saw they sell local honey and should have gotten some while I was there, so maybe next time I'll get some with a bag of coffee and grab a sandwich in the back.

I went to visit their original location on Northwest Hwy. conveniently located right next to the Dallas Police Northwest Division. Fun fact: did you know that they have a roastery next to their original location? How amazing! However, that one is by appointment only, so check with them for more details. Shoutout to the White Rock Coffee staff for welcoming us back with open arms, as well as introducing new drinks to us that were of high demand and interest. One, however, that really did catch my eye, was my all time-favorite: the White Rocker, which included two shots of espresso, whole milk, and their signature White Rock syrup. My friend on the other hand, got the Lone Star Latte -- chai with a hint of that White Rock syrup that they put in there as well! Because of their roastery, all of their coffee beans are sourced from local partners and cooked and roasted right here in the heart of Dallas. I'm just really glad that I was able to really catch up with the times that there are, honestly. I'll definitely be back to visit more whenever I'm in the DFW! Y'all have my support! :)

Lately, I've been into iced lattes with chocolate flavoring but my usual go to is a basic cortado (should have ordered that instead). I couldn't tell you what was wrong with the drink, but I can tell you that I must not have liked it very much considering I didn't have the urge to chug it. I also don't really want to finish it. I think maybe the flavoring of the syrup is stronger than the taste of the espresso and this is why I think I should have ordered my usual. I did sit in the cafe and the vibe is really neat and clean. The seats are comfortable and there are plenty of places to sit down. The walls are basically just big windows which is great for a people-watcher such as myself. The music is a little loud, which isn't a problem for me because I am not doing anything remotely productive but had I been here expecting to get work done, I'm not sure I would have succeeded. The people were super nice when I ordered and I even watched them go around and clean the surfaces which is always a good sign. As I look around, I notice that everyone else sitting in the cafe has mostly half consumed beverages that have been sitting awhile (they look a little watered down). Maybe I just don't like the espresso which is a preference thing. I'd say definitely give it a try and see if you like it. Not sure I'll be back, personally. Also, the music is definitely getting louder. This is my queue to leave.
