You have to try everything once, right? Plus, my toes did look a bit rough. Cara took great care of me with a gentle pedicure. My stylist was Veronica, and she took ample time to ask me about what I wanted, how I liked my look and asked about a lot of nuance to ensure I got the look I wanted. She took her time and was willing to modify when I noticed I wanted it shorter. She was knowledgeable about fine hair, the products and different things likely impacting my hair. I appreciated this. The atmosphere of the salon was sort of bustling, many bodies moving about, a lot of chatter and noise. This isn't unexpected nor was it a bad thing but could be good to note if noise levels are hard for some people. The aesthetic of the salon was airy but chic. I appreciated the decor and the products used were interesting. I'm excited to see if they irritate my scalp (as some do) or if these will be products I'll be able to purchase and begin using regularly!

I called the salon at 3:57PM on 8/30/2022 and confirmed with the receptionist that my unused $200 gift card would be honored for an upcoming service. The receptionist placed me on hold to confirm and stated "Yes, you can absolutely use the gift card for any service, including Botox and injections, at Love A & B." When I got to the register for my service today 9/2/2022, I handed them the $200 gift card to go towards my $500 service. The receptionist stated that they could not honor the unused gift card. I explained the conversation I had with the receptionist on 8/30/2022 and showed them the screenshot of the phone call that occurred and the response from the two staff members was "Sorry, the receptionist that was working at that time on 8/30/2022 is new and hasn't been trained." And "I'm sorry, we know you were expecting to use that $200 gift card." Correct, I was expecting to use my $200 gift card, as that is what the receptionist explicitly told me during the conversation on 8/30/2022. Listen, I understand mistakes happen and have been there. But if an employer has employees mistaking policies, overpromising to customers, and/or failing to train their new hires, that is on them and the business to make it right, not me as the customer. Julia also did my Wedding Hair before I got married and it turned out amazing. They offer free lattes and snacks which is always such a fun way to welcome guests. (They also taste SO good) The staff at the front desk is always kind and willing to help you if you need to schedule your next appointment. The salon is warm, lightly fragrant (always smells so good here), inviting, and clean. As you check in, they offer you a drink -- like a nice coffee! I always take advantage of that and think it's such a nice perk. I always feel very welcome and at home at Moda. The chairs at the stations are super comfy and plants are everywhere inside, as well as the wood interiors and white accents. It's so fresh, spacious, and clean in here, I love it! I followed Duffy here from a different salon because I love her personality, she provides a beautifully skilled service, and I always learn something from her when I visit. She's honest, friendly, and smart, and I'm so glad she's at this location! I have recommended her to my friends and they visit her as well.
