I waited to write this because I wanted to calm down and be sure I needed to leave a bad review…read more However, I was insulted to my face and screamed at and my apartment was left unclean and honestly looking worse than when KNR showed up so I want to save others from a similar experience. I hired KNR on 5/24 for a full move out cleaning on 5/31. 5/31 was the day I moved out and I was flying to Vancouver that night at 7:30 PM, so I had a tight schedule and booked 12 PM. On 5/31, I got a text at 6 AM from Kywanna saying there was an emergency and could a little earlier or later that day work? No problem but I had to leave by 5:30 PM at the latest. We agreed on 1:30 PM and she said it wouldn't take more than 3 hours. Kywanna's daughter shows up and I walk her through everything I wanted her to do. She knew we were moving out (the apt was empty) and everything needed to be cleaned so the place was ready for the next tenant. About 2.5 hours in, Kywanna calls asking if I know where her daughter is because she's not answering her phone. I go upstairs and my apartment is partially "cleaned" but her daughter and her supplies gone. A minute later, I get a call that she's downstairs and wants to come up. She comes in freaking out because her car was towed. Also, her phone is dead. I feel awful and give her a phone charger and she calls her mom freaking out about the car and complaining about being forced to come clean my place, saying she will never do this again. Meanwhile, I'm looking around and my place is a mess. Sinks are dirty, she didn't clean the shower, the floors are a streaky mess, the stovetop has been completely ruined with a film that won't come off because of the cleaner she used (at one point she screams at me that I should have told her not to use that cleaner on the stove). I start stressing because I have to leave for the airport soon and my landlord is going to be upset. I ask her to borrow some of her supplies so I can clean things that look bad (water spots on faucets which weren't there before because I always polish them, kitchen sink hasn't been touched, shower is dirty, floor still needs to be vacuumed all over, drawer from refrigerator is sitting out and she can't figure out how to put it back, etc). Now she starts insulting me to my face saying it's not her problem that things aren't clean and that if I want the kitchen sink cleaner, I can clean it myself and show her that it can be cleaner. She's also saying that the stove looked like that when she arrived and starts looking for the "before" photos in her phone, insisting that it looked like that, but never finding the proof. She continues complaining about me right in front of me on the phone to her mom. Finally, she hangs up on her mom and her mom calls me instead. Her mom can tell I'm upset and asks me to put on her daughter. Her daughter then proceeds to continue to insult me directly while using MY OWN PHONE IN MY OWN APARTMENT. Meanwhile, I'm literally scrubbing my kitchen and bathroom right in front of her trying to get the place clean. Finally, I go over and tell her she needs to stop insulting me and I just want her to gather up her stuff and go because I don't want to deal with her anymore. I ask her what I owe her and she says "You don't even remember what we told you to pay?!" like I'm an idiot. I just wanted to be certain I was still being charged full price because her mother knew that there was a situation and that her daughter was acting completely unprofessionally right in front of me. She calls and confirms that I owe $225. I get the cash and also give her a $40 tip saying I'm sorry her car got towed and I'm sorry she's having a bad day but she really can't be treating a client like this. She seems to realize that she's made a fool of herself and thanks me for the tip, offers a semi-apology and leaves. While this is happening, my fiancé had to go to the closest market to buy all new cleaning supplies so I could try to clean everything she didn't. He rushes to two different stores to buy things to try to fix the stove issue but nothing works. We're cleaning like mad trying to get the place to look acceptable and eventually just have to give up because the closest stores don't have the right supplies and we've run out of time and have to rush to the airport. I understand how awful it would be to have my car towed while I'm trying to clean someone's apartment and I know it really shook her up (and I felt terrible), but it's not an excuse for how she treated me and it's honestly not my problem. There's plenty of legit parking in my area (Rincon Hill on a Friday afternoon). So what I'm saying is DO NOT hire KNR Cleaning Company if you want a professional cleaner. It's possible that there are actual employees (not the owner's daughter) that work for KNR and maybe they would be ok, but I wouldn't take the risk. As predicted, my landlord is not happy about the state of the apartment.
