My husband and I have been using House Calls/Tri-Valley Pet Sitting for over a year. Suzanne has been our primary care provider, and Lu is our backup. Before becoming clients of House Calls, I had met with a half dozen dog nannies through a dog-sitting application, but I didn't feel comfortable with any of the potential sitters. Our dog, Gretchen, is an escape-prone, strong, hearing-impaired miniature pinscher, so she needs extra attention and security precautions. I was comfortable with Suzanne and Lu instantly. One year later, I am thrilled that I made that initial call and wish I would've done it years ago. Suzanne and Lu are so attentive and loving with our dog. They both send me text updates every appointment. When Suzanne takes a day off or a vacation, we have coverage with Lu. Both ladies follow our instructions to ensure that Gretchen is safe. They are reliable and on time, and Gretchen loves them. Recently, my husband was in the hospital, and we needed last-minute help. Debbie and her wonderful team have taken care of my two cats and conure many times over the last eight years, and I highly recommend their services! One of my cats now needs twice-a-day sub-q's, and during a recent weekend trip, House Calls was able to send us Vicki (she's awesome!!) who is trained in giving sub-q's, and easily took care of Molly (well, when Molly wasn't playing Houdini in the back of a filing cabinet that is!!). Vicki not only took care of the basics, but also took time to give the cats some love and cuddle-time, which means a lot to me to have someone give so much TLC to my babies while I'm away! A few years ago, I left town for a short two-day trip, but then my mother died unexpectedly, and the two day trip turned into 10 days. The rest of my family had to leave town quickly to join me, and they didn't know what to do about the cats. Since I was already a client of House Calls, Debbie had my house key and pet information on file, so all I had to do was call her and within a few hours she had someone at my home to get all the pets taken care of, and then provided daily visits thereafter. House Calls Pet Setting is amazing. We have been using them for quite sometime and love them. We took a trip back East for Christmas. We left our 9 year old Dachshund and recently rescued 9 year Terrier with Lisa. They did amazing! I am the type of person who needs to know how the kids are doing. How their day went, pictures , etc. Lisa did all of that and more. She texted me pictures, updates, she kept in contact with us daily. That's important to me. I was so relaxed leaving them with her because I knew they were in excellent hands. I have been using Debbie's House Calls Pet Sitting service since last summer whenever we leave town for vacation or business trip. She and her team have been providing us great services in taking care of our two puppies and yard waste in and out during garbage pickups. Her pet sitter always spends some time playing with the two puppies after filling up water and food, and replacing pads. The floor is always clean. When we come back home, there is always a note left on the table stating her last visit and wanting us to call her to make sure we are home and puppies are in good condition. Kurtis and Debbie have been great when it comes to taking care of my cats (KCi and Jojo). They are both diabetic cats and when I have to leave town, I don't have to worry about how they are being cared for and them getting their shots 2x a day. They will even take out their toys and turn on the sink water for the boys when they check on them. It keeps them on their daily routine and I feel better when I have to leave town. I was looking for an overnight sitter for my dog for a couple of nights, when I contacted Lisa. Although there wasn't anyone available to stay overnight on the dates I needed, Lisa went above and beyond to coordinate multiple visits a day to care for my dog. (It was his first time alone). And she took extra care to ensure the visits were on his schedule and accommodated his daily routine! She and Jen came over to meet my dog beforehand and were very knowledgeable and understanding of his fear and anxiety. They knew just how to make him feel comfortable and how to work with him. We recently moved to East Bay and were scheduled to go for a trip, hence we needed a cat sitter urgently. Lisa responded to my SOS calls (email and VM) and she assured me that she would find someone who can take care of our cat. Jen visited us the same day, was very professional and took lot's of notes. She even tried to play with Wookie a bit and he seemed to respond very well. We knew at that moment they will get along very well. Before leaving she assured us that Wookie would be fine and we heaved a sigh of relief that we finally found someone on a short notice and wouldn't have to keep Wookie in a hostel. Jen was not only professional but also very caring (A LOT). She took great pictures everyday and sent us a very detailed report. She spent time with our kitty and did her best to gel well. This isn't easy since Wookie normally is quite picky and doesn't respond to everyone's petting. She even brought a piece of yarn for Wookie to play and this was a wonderful gesture. She took great care of our place and even informed us about an open door. I cannot thank enough Jen for taking care of Wookie and keeping him in good health.
