I've had them bookmarked for a bit and my friend suggested we stop in for a drink after another event. There is space outside (with heaters if needed) and inside (with blankets - if needed) and we opted to sit inside. They have wine, desserts, and small food plates (including charcuterie and sandwiches) , and several cocktail options. I loved my seasonal old-fashioned, and my friends loved their espresso martinis. Our server was super sweet and answered all our questions. It was a great experience.

The owners have thoughtfully created a warm & welcoming space both inside & out. Beautiful landscaping greets you as you walk up to Vino's patio. We truly forgot we were a stone's throw away from downtown streets thanks to the trees, fire pits, strung lights, and overall chill vibe. They even have blankets for those chilly Raleigh nights! The wine list is purposefully pieced together and offers such variety at fair & affordable pricing. We look forward to many future visits to experience so many unique varietals & countries represented. I know which food item I am going to try on my next visit - the Brie & prosciutto panini! Sounds scrumptious! The inside decor of Vino Wine Bar in downtown Raleigh has nooks to settle into in addition to a beautiful bar. Great hospitality greeted us at every turn.

The service on both occasions was a little lacking in attentiveness. We waited a long time between each check in for having waters filled or ordering more drinks. And it wasn't busy. One piece of feedback for anyone reading this, that is not the restaurant's fault, is that it isn't a great place to watch a football game. We came here to watch an NFL playoff game and the place was nearly empty at 8 pm on Saturday. It's not bad. I'll repeat that. I enjoyed my food (nachos and a burger). The TVs overcome the wall space, the chairs have seen things, and the décor bravely commits to no particular decade or idea whatsoever. Surfaces carry the gentle patina of past patrons--proof that fun was had and only lightly addressed afterward. The staff dash between tables like they've got invisible rockets on their shoes, balancing trays, menus, and the occasional existential dread. New customers arrive like clockwork, and somehow each one is greeted with a smile while the last table is still mid-order and someone else's fries are teetering on the edge of oblivion. Multitasking isn't a skill here--it's a survival tactic. The Old Fashioned lands on the table with all the fanfare of a workmanlike touchdown: competent, decent enough, but not the stuff of legends. No smoky magic, no alchemy--just whiskey, sugar, bitters, and ice doing their basic jobs. The nachos show up looking hopeful: a modest pile of chips garnished with a polite drizzle of cheese sauce, a dab of sour cream, a spoonful of salsa, and a sprinkling of lettuce that screams "fresh-ish." The problem is, the cheese is timid, more of a suggestion than a commitment, and the whole thing settles somewhere between "edible" and "I could have made this at home, probably better. This feels like a burger joint to me.....Cheers!
