I have used Elvin for a few jobs and he is great. last night he came through for me when I was frantic after I couldn't get through to another contractor that left me without water. I couldn't reach that contractor so I was calling whoever I could get a hold of. My original call to Elvin was just to see if he had an alternate number for the contractor as they knew one another. He came to my house right away, took a look at the work that had been done that day. Figured it out and had a solution in no time. He is always friendly and professional. I recently bought a Coaster Kauffman, Queen storage bed and I always build the furniture. It's my little hobby, I love anything construction! I expected, that, because this was a more expensive bed than I've bought in the past, the instructions would be smoother than the rest. Not so! More complicated, unclear, dark pictures, missing steps! Three or four missing steps between the first and the last. Three days and I was stuck. Had no idea what I was looking at. What could have been a nightmare if we listened to our hardwood floor installers, took a complete 180 degree turn after Elvin arrived. Right away he contacted the manufacturer of the material (composite plywood). Yes, hardwood could be installed over it. However, the plywood needed to be installed correctly--squeaking and stability were an issue. The builder did not screw the plywood into the joists. He used a nail gun in a totally haphazard pattern. Some pieces were nailed in around the edges of the board (seriously) versus being screwed in every 16 inches. Perhaps he brought his young nephew or niece to work one day; handed over the nail gun and let them fire away. Regardless, the original installation was a total joke. Elvin got back to me within 10 minutes of me leaving a cry for help message on his voice mail. Elvin's "no worries" attitude and professionalism saved the day. Arrived on time (another shocker). I would not doubt there are contractors out there who would have advised to replace the full second floor plywood to make a buck. I would definitely recommend Elvin if you need a job done right. read more

I bought my condo in North Brunswick over 4 years ago and updated the place myself with the help of friends. I didn't need any major work done. January 2014 started off with my upstairs neighbor's water heater breaking and doing some damage in my bedroom which left me in need of a contractor. None of my friends could recommend a good contractor so I turned to Yelp. Even though there were only two review, they were pretty good so I decided to call and get an estimate. Elvin, the owner, came over and I immediately felt very comfortable with him. He was very polite and respectful. He gave me an estimate and was on his way. I got a few other estimates but they just didn't feel right. So, I hired Elvin and his company to do the work. Just like going on a blind date, you don't really know what to expect. You can go on the website and see what was done, but you don't really know what the outcome will be. But let me tell you, I was absolutely pleased! There was one minor glitch but after expressing my concern, Elvin had his workers come back the next day and fixed it. He always stopped by to check on the work for himself to make sure the job was getting done and done right. Elvin is a true gentleman and is not one of those money hungry contractors who will take your money and do a crappy job or not finish the work. Hired to perform a job, the quote was not cheap but job was important to me. Had to reach out several times to get him scheduled, he cancelled with short notice at least once. Performed the job in a different way than discussed (with my approval) and it held up for first several days, but then became worse then before the work. Reached out several times to fix the issue. Initially he could not make it for two weeks, then said he would try "tomorrow" and never made. He stopped responding to texts after that.
