    Grilled Turkey Avocado sandwich....sigh.

Customer service was good, but the sandwiches? C'mon folks, you gotta do better. This is just sad, and it made me sad. I started drinking again. Breads themselves are good though.

Came here for lunch. My husband ordered two Cajun BLTs on honey whole wheat bread, and I ordered a vegetarian version of the Sunrise on basil Parmesan bread. Instead of any sort of meat, they put slices of avocado. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the bread choice paired extremely well with all the ingredients in the sandwich. Service was really fast, we only waited 5 min after seating down. The location wasn't too crowded either, they big windows allowing the ambiance to be extremely bright and welcoming.

Veggie sandwich wrapped perfectly to be able to take on the road

I ordered delivery from here and was pleasantly surprised. I got the spinach salad and although it has minimal ingredients, they were all fresh and the portion was huge! I also got a veggie sandwich for later and that was equally as yummy. I had a lot of special requests, being a plantarian, and they fulfilled them all perfectly. And their bread! They are a bakery with the word bread in their name so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I don't even love bread but theirs was delicious. Their croutons were out of this world! If i could order a huge order of those to have on hand I definitely would. Pro tip: if you order to go, order from Yelp because the option may in Uber eats are far more limited.

House of Bread is a chain bakery/cafe with a handful of location across the U.S. Lucky us - we now have one in Wasilla!!! Hours for the Wasilla store are: Mon-Fri 5:30am - 6:00pm Sat. 7:00am - 5:00pm Sun. 7:00 - 5:00pm Hubs and I stopped in today to check the place out and see if we wanted to have lunch there (as you know there are only so many places in the Valley and I didn't want fast food or Evangelo's). When we entered I was expecting to be greeted with a wafting bread/bakery smell like when you enter Great Harvest. It wasn't like that. Maybe because it was almost 3:00 and they had probably done all their baking earlier in the day. The interior is bright and open. You can see right over the counter into the kitchen. There are high ceilings in the dining room, plenty of room for a group (if you pull a couple of tables together), barstool height chairs & counters line the outer walls and look out large windows and there is a cozy fireplace in the corner. Once you enter you see large picture menu boards featuring their specialty sandwiches. They also offer soups & salads. If you prefer you can choose from about 20 different sandwich toppings and at least 6 different kinds of bread to "make your own" sandwich. I went with the California Fusion Panini on honey whole wheat bread. You can't go wrong with a hot pressed sandwich that has turkey, pesto, provolone, & artichoke hearts! I opted for the 1/2 sandwich, not having any idea how big it would be if I had gotten a whole one. Hubs decided on the Cranky Turkey. Turkey, mayo, lettuce, tomato, cranberries & cream cheese! Looked amazing. He "forgot" to order a 1/2 and ended up with a nice sized sandwich! We also got 1 bag of chips and 2 drinks and it came to about $15. Not too bad. I'm looking forward to another trip there to try a salad or soup. There was a rack of many kinds of bread to choose from as well as a bakery case with too many different kinds of sweets - I may go back and forget the soup and just get a pastry! Staff was helpful & friendly. Restrooms were clean & spacious. Looking at the national website looks like prices here are about a dollar higher, but what isn't in Alaska?! Try House of Bread! It's worth it!

Amazing fresh bread and great food
    Amit W.

The food was really delicious and the staff is very helpful it is a difficult place to find it's next to the hot IHOP in the Plaza but they were able to substitute for vegetarian options and the staff was very friendly the food was very delicious and the bread was amazingly fresh

This is my meal. Cajun BLT sandwich and a beef chili bread bowl.
    David D.

This place is like bakery meets Panera. Good fresh foods and the bread bowl chili is delicious. I always leave there satisfied. I think a good addition would be a "build your own" option for the sandwiches. It is definitely worth trying out. Better than Subway for sure.

This is a great little cafe with a small menu of sandwiches and coffee. The bread is delicious. Great little place to stop for a lunch break with our without children. There's also some shopping in the same strip mall.

Since I was too sick to really do anything, including go to the Yelp Elite event, he took pity on me and we went on a drive around the scenic valley. While we were cruising around we got hungry, so I utilized my Jersey Mike app to pre-order us some dinner, so all my husband had to do was pop in and pick it up. My husband tells me the shop is nicer and bigger than the one in Anchorage... what else is new. The Valley always gets bigger and better. Our sandwiches were made as expected with no errors. I order in Anchorage all the time and this one was exactly the same. I like that dependability. It helps that their cheesesteaks (not Philly- you Alaskan weirdos- I was born in Philly, Philly is a place not a fucking sandwich) are perfect. Since moving to Alaska from Jersey a decade and a half ago, I have been longing for a proper cheesesteak. This is as close as you are going to get, minus the stupid red peppers, which ABSOLUTELY MUST BE OMITTED. They do NOT belong on the sandwhich and ruin the entire flavor profile. Thankfully the app makes it very easy to modify your sandwich to your preferences. What I think is the true proof of the quality of the sandwich is if it needs condiments. This sub does not. I typically drown my cheesesteaks in ketchup. But this sandwich has the perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the meat had an excellent flavor with no gross chewy pieces. I have a really REALLY bad meat aversion, so bad that I was a vegetarian for 5.5 years, because I can't deal with tendons and miscellaneous meat appearances in my meal. But my love of cheesesteaks is literally what brought me back to carnivorous lifestyle. I'd die in a sword death for a proper cheesesteak. And Jersey Mike's has it going on.

Stopped in after working late this past weekend for takeout. Complete disappointment! Opened the sandwiches at home only to find dried out stale bread on both sandwiches we ordered. At the high price point for commercially prepared food these days that is completely unacceptable and we will never go back. We are going to stick with our local sub shop, Krazy Moose subs, which produces a far superior product. Have been going there for years and never had any problems. Fresh bread daily. Locally owned. No more franchise food for us! Update: Jersey Mike's replied to the above review and said they're "sorry." Then said they hoped we'd "come back in the future." Not a chance. Spent over $30 to get dried out puckered bread on not one but two sandwiches. Don't need any lame, insincere boilerplate 'apologies.' Our money goes elsewhere. Great job, people. Your Wasilla shop served dried out, puckered, stale bread instead of throwing it out and lost us as customers for life. Great business model. All to save a couple bucks on inventory. Way to go!
