    Clam chowder

So first impression this place is cute and home-y. My family came here on our way out of town we got the clam chowder, big ole farmer skillet and chicken friend steak n eggs. Nothing special. The food was ok the service was cool. Unfortunately my food came out cold and I asked for it to be out in the grill or whatever, they microwaved it which is fine but the fact that it came back out cold is just crazy. The clam chowder tasted like a mix of chowder and gravy. It was ok but something I could maybe only take one or two bites of because of how sweet it was. And sad part is it was so thick because it was like warm. It's as off the food had been ready for sometime and just left under a heat lamp. It just kinda sucks cuz I think had the food come out hot it would have been sooo much better. Cuz the food isn't terrible but when something's cold it just loses that good taste.

Oh My Gosh!!!! Charming and delicious Staff was great! Julia was spot on with her customer interaction. Making sure that her littles guests had a "happy" meal with smiley pancakes, that she "didn't mx up the orders for the couple that ordered the exact same meal, to her pickle negotiations with the next table for what's a perfect sandwich ratio (btw the answer is 6 ). Wish I'd saved room for pie!

Loved this Wasilla area, "greasy spoon diner!" It was small town vibes with hearty portions from this diner. They are located at the end of a strip mall. All staff encountered were extra helpful and efficient. We visited on a Saturday morning and they had quite the crowd. My spouse ordered their chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast with hash browns and a 3 stack. I opted for their biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. We took home a ton of leftovers. I would absolutely recommend this place for an affordable meal.

Today's chili cheese omelette with side of hash browns and toast. Of course got to have coffee too!

I have been here now for many breakfasts and one lunch. The food never disappoints! I love that this place is another hidden gem, inside a larger strip mall near Value Village. Not overly fancy , but still beautifully decorated and great service from the staff. Especially go to see Connie, she's been there a long time now.

Restaurant is clean and has a typical diner layout. Service is friendly and attentive. Food is better than average with portions larger than expected. We had breakfast items and the biscuits and gravy with home fries were really good and filling. The lunch items look really good too. Check this place out!

COVID update: This spot appears to be operating at full capacity amidst the pandemic. The space was busy. Maybe 75% full. Maybe short staffed. One staff member was a little rude. None of the staff are wearing masks. If that's not a big deal to you, giddy up. They offer pick up as well. Solid dineresque style food. The biscuit was so important it had its own take out container.

Great service and punctual. I loved the waitress thick accent and the food was spot on. The food didn't look the best but certainly hit the spot. Looks aren't always everything. If you're passing through I would definitely recommend stopping in for a quick bite. Nothing special but done right.

Excellent diner food served by homemade chefs and well crafted foods. Even had some Alaska fair on the menu like elk and moose sausage.

Fabulous Meal! The UAA Culinary Students knocked this meal…read moreout of the park. I had the Filet Surf and Turf. My Filet was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I would say my steak would have given Whiskey and Ramen a run for their money. A true medium rare and juicy. Nearly tender enough to cut with a fork. The Scallops. I don't usually care for scallops but I will say there was a perfect sear and they were not over cooked. Sweet Potato Gnocchi was really good and the Gorgonzola Sauce was balanced flavorful and I will be trying to replicate it soon. My son enjoyed a flank steak, delicious, a good sear and just enough lime to enhance the experience. We skipped the desserts I have to address the prices which are ridiculously low. I hear reservations fill up quick so watch their website.

This year I was able to book one of the reservations, and immensely enjoyed my experience. I…read moreordered a 3 course meal (appetizers, entree, dessert), and left very satisfied. I do think some of the items were on the pricier side for what you are receiving as well as considering it's a student run lab, and not an operating restaurant. Although the restaurant is in more of a cafeteria setting thru do a very nice job of making it feel more high end with their table settings & fresh florals. The students are also dressed very professionally, and the menu is a great selection of higher end items. My favorite part of the meal were the desserts (Lady Palmer & Black cherry chocolate cake). They were exemplary quality, and I feel were restaurant ready. For our entrees I ordered the duck breast, and black cod. I really enjoyed the basil & pea puree that came with the cod, and for the duck breast I thought it was seasoned well though I would've preferred it a little less well done. For appetizers I ordered prawn fritters & a bread plate. I really enjoyed the different components of the bread plate; my favorite being the whipped honey feta. The fritters were tasty, but I wish they had more prawn pieces in them. This restaurant is a learning experience for the students so you should not go into this meal expecting 5 star perfection, but it's a great way to get involved in helping to educate the culinary students in a real life setting. The meal includes comment cards that they ask you fill out, which will really help the students improve. Lucy's was a very fun & unique experience, and I hope to be able to get a reservation again next year!
