Was seated quickly, basic service - nothing like our last (first) visit. Our sides (toast, biscuits & gravy) were brought out 5-10min early, barely warm when our meals arrived. My experience today was not good ! Bacon was cremated eggs were over easy with no dipping to well done. hasbrowns tasted like old grease and they used pinapple chunks for a hawaiian burger - they kept falling out of the burger. read more

So first impression this place is cute and home-y. My family came here on our way out of town we got the clam chowder, big ole farmer skillet and chicken friend steak n eggs. Nothing special. The food was ok the service was cool. Unfortunately my food came out cold and I asked for it to be out in the grill or whatever, they microwaved it which is fine but the fact that it came back out cold is just crazy. The clam chowder tasted like a mix of chowder and gravy. It was ok but something I could maybe only take one or two bites of because of how sweet it was. And sad part is it was so thick because it was like warm. It's as off the food had been ready for sometime and just left under a heat lamp. Oh My Gosh!!!! Charming and delicious Staff was great! Julia was spot on with her customer interaction. Making sure that her littles guests had a "happy" meal with smiley pancakes, that she "didn't mx up the orders for the couple that ordered the exact same meal, to her pickle negotiations with the next table for what's a perfect sandwich ratio (btw the answer is 6 ). Loved this Wasilla area, "greasy spoon diner!" It was small town vibes with hearty portions from this diner. They are located at the end of a strip mall. All staff encountered were extra helpful and efficient. We visited on a Saturday morning and they had quite the crowd. My spouse ordered their chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast with hash browns and a 3 stack. I opted for their biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. We took home a ton of leftovers. On our way to Palmer, we first stopped at iHop (waited and waited to be seated only to be told "it'll be about 5 minutes" and it was then that we noticed that of the about twelve occupied tables, NOBODY had any food. We left and a quick "breakfast search" on maps led us here. Quite the hopping place so obviously popular. Seated quickly and I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the crew. This is a good, basic deli-style local restaurant: not fancy at all, just good food, good variety of menu selections, good prices, good coffee. Service and ambiance: like a good local diner. "I'll never eat here again. The food was good and this used to be my go-to breakfast spot, but after the way management and the owner handled a serious issue that occurred on August 1st 2025 in the morning around 9:45am-11:30am, I'm done. My fiancée and I were given napkins (definitely had bright visible red blood)-- and silverware (possibly)-- that had an employee's blood on them. The blood was fresh, and I was very concerned about possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens. When I brought it up, they acted like it wasn't a big deal and offered me half off my meal. I was told it came from a small cut and that I 'should be fine,' and later reassured that the employee didn't have any diseases. I asked the manager and affected employee if the employee could be tested so I'd have peace of mind, and they agreed, telling me I'd be contacted. Weeks went by with no follow-up. When I called again, a manager said I'd get a full refund, but when I showed up, they shorted me $5 (Tip I gave even though I went through what I went through) and told me the employee had quit after taking a blood test under company insurance. Nobody could provide results, but the owner said the person 'must be clean because they were nice.' All I want is to know whether my fiancée and I were exposed to anything. Restaurant is clean and has a typical diner layout. Service is friendly and attentive. Food is better than average with portions larger than expected. Service was great! Food was not... the menu had no substitutions which I thought was strange. My partner has a gluten allergy so we had to remove the side & it was still full price. When his steak came out it was raw & was sent back, when he got it back it was overcooked & under seasoned. The potato skins were small with barely any potato.. overall disappointed. Fast, friendly service but the food is not great at all. We ordered a pastrami rueben. Supposed to be on toasted rye bread. It wasn't rye bread, it was toasted whole grain wheat. A pretty good diner to stop in and have breakfast. Nothing pretty crazy about this place. Service is very quick! The waitresses are on top of it and your coffee cup is always filled. The food is excellent and so is the service. Prices are good as well if I had to say one thing that I didn't like was the staff told me I couldn't bring my service dog with out proof of his status.
