When it came to organization of lines of the more popular actors there was a lot to be desired. Hopefully the convention center prepares better next year. (Tip: Even with VIP the line for "Glenn" was 2 1/2 hours, I waited 15 minutes or less for everyone else). If you aren't into the autographs or just getting one or two actor photographs general admission should be fine otherwise I suggest hitting up Living Social for the VIP tickets. Plan to eat out as the food is, well, "food".

Hubby & I attended the critically acclaimed production of, "Hedwig and The Angry Inch" Friday night, 03/07/15, to see my daughters boyfriend, who is playing in "The Angry Inch" Rock Band. WOW......the band / music is amazing! Robert Rain, as Hedwig, and Jenine Galante, as Yitzhak, both give captivating performances! The story is sad, yet some parts are unexpectedly funny, as told by Hedwig Schmidt. The theatre was Rockin', the audience was singing and really involved in this play. Again, I really like this venue and hope to see more plays / productions here! The Margo Jones / Magnolia Lounge is truly a Dallas Icon, as was Margo Jones, herself! Per Wikipedia: ***Margo Jones (December 12, 1911 - July 24, 1955) , was an influential American stage director and producer best known for launching the American regional theater movement and for introducing the theater-in-the-round concept in Dallas, Texas. In 1947, she established the first regional professional company when she opened Theatre '47 in Dallas. Of the 85 plays Jones staged during her Dallas career, 57 were new, and one-third of those new plays had a continued life on stage, television and radio. We stopped at Eatzi's on the way to pick up wine for the girls, beer for the boy, and snacks to nom on. The building was hard to find, because it was not well-lit in the front, but it will probably be the only storefront that is lit at all. We walked in, threw our drinks in the fridge and got to work sorting through all the books of idea paintings. I have never considered myself very artistic and was pretty nervous to pick something out and completely butcher it, but I found something that I thought I would probably buy if I saw it in a store and went to work. This was one of the most fun random Friday nights I have had in Dallas. Susan was fantastic and helped us all try different techniques and ideas. We made friends with the other parties there, both young and old. And all of our canvases turned out so well! All of our different styles came out clearly with art that we can all definitely hang on our walls. We will be back here for sure!

Scheduling was very easy via email. I attended the painting class with my sister. What makes this class unique is that each student (about 10-12 students in the class) chooses an image (many provided at the beginning of class) or brings their own to use for inspiration versus the step-by-step group format. The instructor, E, was awesome and gave individualized advice on how he would go about executing the painting and was really patient with beginners (like me). There are a variety of acrylic paints and tools (brushes, knives, etc.) at students' disposal. A few pointers: bring low-maintenance beverages and snacks, wear clothes you don't mind ruining, abstract images seem to be the way to go, and have a great time.

Seriously, it is literally hard to describe how much you will laugh and feel like a kid again enjoying all of the references to the original Peter Pan while guffawing at the deliciously racy, but very tasteful (and tasty) jokes. The cast in this show is fabulous. They are able to do scene changes and make what is really a bare-bone production something that reminded me of storytelling in my childhood. All of a sudden you weren't just looking at a group of people, you were seeing everything they were miming or imagining or alluding to. It was fabulous. A dash of camp, a dash of nostalgia, and a whole lot of talent made this production one for the memories.

It is about 100 miles from my home, so it was a bit of a chance driving over. It turned out to be well worth it. They have a huge selection of new and used games. Lamb sliders and fries was our next choice, nothing special there either. Again, store bought slider buns and not enough meat, not tasty, fries also stay under a heat lamp, the frozen type of course.
