    I have used and been in this gym in the past plenty of times. I have never had any issues here, But…read moredoes anyone know a phone number to call to get in touch with the gym to book or reserve gym time?

    This is one of the smaller gyms my son has played basketball at. There are two basketball courts…read morewith limited wooden benches for family to sit on. One clean female restroom and one male restroom. Let's not everyone have to go at the same time. The courts are so small their 3 point shooter line was also the court boundary line that made my son a unhappy camper... He plays point guard with a mean three pointer shot. The basketball players kept hitting the padded wall when they went out of bound. LOL The gym is an aluminum storage building with limited parking. Towards the middle of the day it got hot up in there... You'll probably miss the street to turn on to get to the gym if it's your first or second time there and what's up with GPS, Navigation system, Google or what ever you use for directions, man it takes you out and around and back just to reach your destination. What gives??? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only driver to experience this mishap every time I use one of those apps listed. Over all I rated this gym 3 stars because the young man selling tickets to enter was very people friendly. O'yea they were selling your common targeted kid foodies at a high price. Round two today- it's a two day tournament at $12 a pop or a two day pass for $20- you already know. D UP let's get it!!! }:{

    I do not recommend Like Mike. My child is entirely new to basketball and the first practice slot…read morewas made into a Zoom parent orientation (which went on far TOO long and was incredibly repetitive). The second practice was extremely disorganized, communications were lacking, the pre-ordered basketball shorts were not available, the uniforms were not available, and Coach Jimmy was far too harsh and sharp to a group of kids around 7-9 years old. There was very little positive reinforcement and mostly just yelling and "no - wrong - do it again" type comments. Coach Jimmy also said his personal 'rule' was that the kids would be given a 20 pushup punishment if they didn't hold the door open for their parents. A sports coach has no business parenting or assigning consequences for things that occur off the court. It was entirely inappropriate. Like Mike MIGHT be okay at coaching a more advanced class with older kids who have thicker skin and have been through a few coaches/sports and who understand how things run. For little kids or an intro to basketball, do not bring them here. Find a place who excels at working with kids, positive reinforcement, exciting 'pump you up' instruction, and facilitating a love for the game -- this is not Like Mike's strength. We will not be going back and will find an organization that values their players.

    Neat little park representing remnants of old town Cypress, although there was no official downtown…read moreCypress back in the day since it occupied more than 100 square miles. This small cluster of mid-century buildings are all that's left of this area of Cypress. The official park is open only 3 days a week, during the day, but if you get here when open you can take free tours of the buildings, including a historical house, old gas station, community hall, general store, barber shop and railroad station. If you visit outside of their weekday hours, just the park grounds are open for picnics, or photographs, etc. There are no playgrounds for the kids. Note, the railroad station is a modern building that has been painted to look like an old railroad station, and is actually the historical library. The library is also open every 3rd Saturday from 11-2. At the rear of the park, there are a picnic area, railroad station, restroom building and 3 smaller out-buildings. The actual grounds are decorated with turn of the century farm implements, a walking path with 1 park bench and a water fountain. The picnic area is nice and modern with a covered roof, several rubber coated picnic benches, a stainless steel sink and countertop with running water and a large smoker if you are cooking. The newest location of BB'S Cafe has opened up next door to the park, so if you're having a picnic, you'll likely be smelling fried seafood in the air from next door if the wind is blowing from the south.
