She's a great coach and she can really elevate kids' school at a young age. It feels good seeing my niece and nephew play better tennis everyday and I know I want them to keep being trained by coach Leyla. I recommend choosing her as the coach to develop your kids.

The staff is absolutely unprofessional, and they cannot get anything done. They don't talk to each other. Todd Whitley, the Director there is a joke. He says he will do certain things three times, and never get it done. My daughter played in a USTA event hosted by this club. She won the tournament, but they didn't have enough trophies. Todd said he would ship the trophy, so I left my mailing address to his email and on a sticky note on his desk. Two weeks later I called to follow up only to hear him say that they just got the trophy ready. He says "I have the trophy right here, and I have your address here as well. I will ship it right away. You will have it in a few days." One week later, the trophy has not arrived. I emailed Todd, and no response. I intend to write to USTA to have them look into this poor handling. They shouldn't be hosting any USTA or UTR events with this level of organization as they have no idea what they are doing. At all cost, I would stay away from this tennis club.

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding the behavior and conduct of certain coaches…read morewithin the teams, The Fire hawks and the Volts, youth sports program. It is extremely troubling to witness behavior that does not align with the standards expected in a program designed for young children. Specifically, I have observed and/or been made aware of the following issues: Inappropriate language: Coaches using profanity during practices and games in the presence of young players. Bullying behavior: Instances where coaches have spoken harshly, belittled, or intimidated children rather than encouraging and supporting them. Alcohol use: Concerns that coaches have consumed alcohol before or during events, which is highly inappropriate and unsafe in a youth sports environment. These actions not only violate basic expectations of professionalism but also create an unhealthy and potentially harmful environment for the children. Youth sports programs should promote teamwork, respect, confidence, and positive development--not fear or discomfort. I respectfully request that this matter be taken seriously and investigated promptly. It would be helpful to review and enforce the organization's code of conduct for coaches, and to take appropriate corrective action to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and would welcome any updates on how this situation will be addressed.

You need to make a reservation on the app oh and everyone in your party needs the app just to make the reservation, you need a key fob (that's good for nothing except the indoor gym...?), you need people to actually be at the front desk in order to get a key to actually open the courts. Not to mention if you make a reservation on the app thats after the time that the office closes your screwed because there is no way to get a key to open the courts, keep in mind there is no mention of picking up a key beforehand or any sort of remedy on the app when you make the reservation so if you expect to play anytime after the office closes (at 5pm on the weekends btw???) your pretty much SOL. I'm sure that these precautions have been put in place because of issues in the past but it makes it impossible for people who actually live in Fairfield to enjoy the facility that WE PAY FOR. Something needs to change because it really should not be this hard.

The club is part of the Invited network (formerly known as ClubCorp). It's my opinion that the club, while not in bad shape when I first joined, has improved over the last few years. The golf course has been one of the better ones I've played on, and it's great having three 9-hole courses to pick from. The pro shop generally has a good selection of equipment and clothing, and members get 20% off on clothes. Sports like pickleball and tennis are available. Also, groups that play games like mahjong and poker meet here to play. The main restaurant, the Red Wolf Bar & Grille, has many choices with a seasonal menu and monthly drink specials. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and if you buy the X-Life add-on to your membership, it's well worth it if you eat at the restaurant at least a few times per month. Special weekly events, like Tasting Tuesdays and Pasta Night on Thursdays, add variety by offering items not on the regular menu. The outdoor restaurant, the Tourn, often has live music and other events. If you live in the area, especially within in Hearthstone or surrounding neighborhoods, Hearthstone Country Club is a great place for activities with family and friends.

This is a very strange course, a lot of short par 4 and 5's but pretty long par 3's in comparison. Over all this is a older style course that is straight forward, but not easy.

It presents itself as an elite academy on paper, yet it fails to deliver the hospitality and facilities required for hosting high-level national tournaments. I attended a nationals tournament where players from across the country, ranked in the top three of their USTA sections, gathered to compete. Unfortunately, this was the worst nationals experience I've had, and I will not return, regardless of the event's level. Here are the key issues I encountered: - **Lack of Atmosphere**: Unlike other national tournaments, there were no decorations, banners, or photo opportunities. The facility felt outdated and uninviting. - **Staff Attitude**: While the food staff were friendly, the lounge was dirty, with torn and cracked seating. Staff members often engaged in loud personal conversations instead of maintaining a professional environment. - **Inadequate Amenities**: The facility offered no Wi-Fi for players and guests to use while waiting between matches. The courts were in poor condition, with numerous cracks needing repair, which is unacceptable for a national event. - **Insufficient Restrooms**: With only two toilets and one urinal for hundreds of players and their guests, the situation was dire. They refused to open locker rooms for additional restroom access, expecting players to pay a guest fee just to change or shower--what a money-driven approach. - **Poor Communication**: During rain delays, the club scheduled matches for 7 a.m. on Sunday, despite the rain causing delays until nearly 8:45. There was no text communication to inform players of the delays, which could have saved many a 45-minute drive. Overall, the Giammalva Racquet Club did not showcase its facility in the best light, nor did it make guests feel welcome. With the main courts under construction and many issues persisting, it's apparent that the management does not prioritize the guest experience. Many other players echoed my sentiments, expressing they would not return if the event were held here again. It's disheartening to see such a lack of care in a facility that hosts national events. USTA, please do better.
