He performed my very lengthy resection surgery via the Davinci robotic assist and then my ileostomy reversal a few months later. I had to start my 2nd round of chemo as soon as possible post resection surgery per my oncologist's treatment preference at the time so I had to wait after my chemo completion to have my ileostomy reversal but both surgeries were a success! I can't thank Dr. Haas, his team and his office staff enough! They took their time to address my concerns and answer any questions I had. At times when I would think of questions after the appointment, they were very good about getting back to me when I called. His staff was always courteous, friendly and attentive on the phone and in person! Words just can't express how grateful I am for their care during a very difficult journey in my life! Pictures were taken about a year after my 2nd surgery.

It's usually 1.5 hours in and out. He cares. His staff cares. Bottom end problems are embarrassing and I don't feel embarrassed in his office. Good luck and I genuinely hope you make an appointment with Dr. Haas. May God be with you. The I have lots of time review: I was having trouble with my bottom end. I had totally lost faith in my gastroenterologist to help me, so I began looking for a colorectal specialist. There was a story I read about Dr. Haas doing the rounds and seeing serval of his patients in pain and coming up with a new pain management methodology and course that doesn't rely on opioids, which makes bottom end problem worse most of the time. I knew he was the doc. You don't find many doctors giving a hoot about patient comfort. It also showed he's a problem solver and innovator. There seem to be two kinds of doctors these days. The problem solvers and the counselors. I don't need to be counseled as to why I am the problem or admonished for my life choices. I need a course of treatment with a resolution. Dr. Haas does that. He has a sense of humor. Vast expertise and experience. He isn't sitting across the table telling you to spend more time meditating and drinking wheatgrass. He came in, took a look, and immediately banded a hemorrhoid. Boom. Before I could even get anxious about it. He didn't make me wait three weeks of discomfort and anxiety. Boom. After a few visits I felt much much better. His staff is professional. Funny. And most of all, no drama. The only issue, is that sometimes you have to wait, but that's because he is in demand. A lot of cancer patients and others need his services. If you want someone with experience, that isn't going to lecture you about meditation and make you wait months while they bilk your insurance, take an afternoon off and get a consultation. If you enjoy being lectured and judged and billed, then go see my ex-gastroenterologist. He's in cypress. BTW: I've been seen by Dr Haas every time. He does have PA's and residents and students and nurse practitioners in his office and sometimes they are with him and work under his supervision, which I am totally fine with. Everyone has to learn. I was always asked if it was OK they be present or assist. Again. Fine. Having these issues is embarrassing and let me tell you. I've had 10 years of GI problems. Thanks to my new gastroenterologist and Dr. Haas I have quality of life again. And I am going to put this here, as well, but pray about your condition and have others pray for you. Pray that God will guide you to the right doctor. I pray that everyone that reads this will receive healing and care from a great Doctor, and Dr. Haas surely qualifies. I'm a real patient. Not an insurance bot or some jealous classmate.

I will NEVER go to this place again. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and waited 2 hours after scheduled time in waiting room. Was taken back and waited another 45 minutes after undressing. When they came in the procedure room. The doctor got started. I did not recvd an IV. I was in alot of pain and told them repeatedly it did not feel right. The nurse, not sure if she was a nurse or not. I was still VERY alert, and she proceeded to give me more sedation (I did not ask for) and then Dr Clemmons entered and started the procedure. I felt the pipe tubing and lots of stomach pushed (literally) and I was screaming in pain. No one even asked me if I was ok. Horrible experience. With all the anesthesia I just blacked out and hours later in recovery my husband appeared. A lady told me the Dr would be in to talk to me, and I do NOT have any recollection of any. Upon meeting Dr Clemmons at first I thought he was a nice doctor but whatever his reasons where I felt literally like I was a number. No one followed up they gave me paperwork AND SAID THEY WILL FOLLOW UP IN A FEW DAYS. Never DID. I took the findings to another doctor he asks what this is. I'm so embarrassed hate that I allowed this office to do my colonoscopy. not even sure i trust the results. I called to speak with him, and it was way too many pauses, he was very disconnected.

I am a former employee of Dr. Clemons' office, and I want to share my experience. In my opinion,…read morethe procedure rooms were not consistently cleaned or sanitized properly, which was extremely concerning to witness in a medical setting. I also observed that the instruments used for in-office colonoscopy procedures did not appear to be properly sanitized, which raised serious safety concerns. The work environment felt hostile and toxic, and the way staff were treated in front of patients was unprofessional and humiliating. It did not feel like a place where employees--or patients--were treated with respect. There is also a very high turnover rate, and the office was consistently understaffed during my time there. We were repeatedly told that hiring was coming, but in my experience, it never happened--patients even commented on how often employees were leaving. On top of being short-staffed, the manager repeatedly emphasized that the office had quotas to meet, which put extreme pressure on a team of only four staff members. The phones rang constantly, yet the manager would say things like, "that's not my job, I will not be answering phones." HR also made comments such as, "I'm very confused as to why it's a heavy workflow," which, in my experience, showed no empathy and no understanding of what the team was actually facing. In the procedure room, there often did not seem to be enough staff to safely support the workflow. There was no nurse present to start IVs, and I was concerned that some staff did not appear to have the proper licenses for the tasks they were performing. I also personally witnessed situations where patients seemed overly medicated and at times were unsteady or appeared at risk of falling--these moments were alarming to me. In my experience, HR and the doctor's wife were not present in the office, so they did not see the reality of what was happening day-to-day. Decisions seemed to be based only on what the manager said, not what was actually occurring. The doctor himself works extremely hard and truly cares about his patients, but in my opinion, he is being overworked and unsupported by the people around him. Many of the colleagues who are still there are struggling in silence. Just like me, they need their jobs, so they stay quiet--but that doesn't mean the problems don't exist. I finally spoke up about serious concerns, and in my experience, it completely backfired. I was laid off, and the excuse given was my "time," even though patients and coworkers knew I always did my job to the best of my ability. From what I witnessed, the focus seemed to be money and metrics, not patient care. I also saw test results sit for long periods with no follow-up, leaving patients waiting without communication. I am truly thankful for the patients I was able to help during my time there. Supporting them was the only positive part of my experience, and I am grateful for every person who trusted me. Patients should know they have a voice. If you believe you have observed unsafe or unprofessional practices, you have the right to report concerns. You can file a complaint with the Texas Medical Board. You may also report concerns to local health authorities in Houston if you feel patient safety is at risk. As a community, we deserve better. Speaking up is how we protect one another and push for change--no one should feel ignored or unsafe in a medical office. Based on what I experienced, I would not recommend this office. To anyone reading this: do not stay silent. Protect yourself, trust your instincts, and take action. Your health and safety come first--choose a provider who treats it that way.

I was referred to this group that Dr. Chen works for through a gastroenterologist I found on Healthgrades because she could not provide the services I needed. There were 2 female doctors in the Colon and Rectal Clinic of Houston: Marianne Cusick and Lisa Chen. I looked up both physicians on Healthgrades and Lisa Chen had far more reputable reviews than Marianne Cusick, so I of course read all the reviews on Dr. Chen and then hit the bullet and made the drive. Dr. Chen is part of the UT physicians group and her office is located on the second floor, 2C. Front office/Secretary: The front office/window seems to be always shut to provide the best experience for the patient so if you need assistance you ring the bell. I was a new patient so I had a couple of papers I had to fill out. They weren't too friendly but they weren't unfriendly either. Wait time: It took about 18 minutes to get me into the back and I didn't even go into a room. I went into an office at first because Dr. Chen was behind. No worries, they took my blood pressure and heart rate. Then about 5-10 minutes after that I was moved to Dr. Chen's office to notify her of my concerns I had. Professionalism: Dr. Chen's knowledge and professionalism was impeccable. She put me at ease and said we will figure this out. Personal note but I wanted to get something removed but she suggested I shouldn't because it could grow back bigger. She gave me the safest approach and gave me home remedies instead of jumping right into surgery. Personality: I don't know about you guys but personality is KEY to patient and physician relationship. Bed side manner is pertinent because if you have a flat expression from a physician it just makes your experience not rememberable. Dr. Chen has outstanding bedside manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Chen!
