I brought my 2015 Nissan Altima in for AC repair and was given a written estimate for $677, which I signed. After two weeks of silence, I had to call multiple times for updates. When the part finally arrived, they resent the estimate -- now $853 -- without warning. I was told, by Dane, labor "wasn't included" (it was), then told they "forgot a part and was quoted incorrectly." This is blatant dishonesty. No communication, shifting excuses, and clear attempts to exploit my need for AC in Texas heat. Even if they honored the original price, I wouldn't trust the quality of work. If you value transparency and integrity, go elsewhere. read more

I had my car tuned here with modest bolt ons. I was only interesting in the basic tune to get rid of the CEL and calibrate for the intakes and exhaust. Now I know every shop will try to sell you something... but this place was too aggressive. They were recommending to replace basically everything I've done... and it just so happens, their shop is a dealer of the parts theyre selling. I passed of course. They tuned my car with very disappointing numbers, and the price was average. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor, and couldn't care less about customer service. They also didn't walk me through the tune functionality (maps, launch control, etc), they just wanted to leave. My car tuned 291 WHP. I finally got around to having a pro tune my car (you know the one). I am now sitting at 321 WHP. The dead spots in the Houston Z Auto tune were so obvious and annoying. I don't know who tuned my car, but I know it wasn't Dane. I hear Dane is the only guy you want here. read more

If you are in search of an independent Nissan/Infiniti specialist to perform routine maintenance (for WAYYYY cheaper than the dealer) or aftermarket modifications, this is likely one of your best options in Htown. Out front are a ton of nice tuner cars - 350/370Zs, Datsun Zs, some Skyline GT-Rs, 300ZX - so you can tell these guys are car enthusiasts. Reaching 80k on my car, I figured it was a good time to do some maintenance and upgrades - Eibach front & rear sway bar kit, Whiteline differential bushings (OEM ones are guaranteed to leak around 50-80k), transmission fluid drain and fill, differential drain and fill, and they convinced me to do a Z1 differential cover when my stock cover was found leaking. Had an issue where one of my OEM key fobs went bad and they were able to source a new OEM replacement quickly and programmed it. Took off a star because unfortunately my first trip there, they forgot to re-program my original key and so I had to make the trek back. Additionally, my right exhaust tip (Ark exhaust) is slightly more misaligned after the sway bar and diff cover install, but I would still recommend them overall and will be back for future work. Labor costs are reasonable, service is quick and the guys are all friendly. They've also got a shop dog :) read more

Top notch service and experience. I went in to get my Juke tuned and given how uncommon it is to tune one of these and the transmission mine has it was tough to find a tuner. However Dane, the owner, was willing to take a chance on the Juke and it all turned out great. We ran into some issues early on with UpRev (tuning software) and Brad (shop manager) was very transparent and responsive with the communication. Once that got settled, we ran into another hurdle with inclement weather. Due to heavy rain and flooded roads my car sucked in enough water to end it for good, however through some patience and tedious work Dane and his techs were able to revive the car and get it ready for tuning. He was able to bring so much out of the car and despite there being a little bit more room to revise and adjust, the car is amazing compared to before. All in all a great shop, known for their work on the Z chassis cars, and despite it being one of the few they've worked on, they took care of the Juke like clockwork. I had some extensive work done to my Z by Dane and his crew and I have nothing but good things to say about both the quality of the work and the communication. In my experience with this shop, your car will always come back to you in better condition than it went in. They take time to make sure the work is done correctly, and with the highest quality parts - never cutting any corners. In my particular case, Dane, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure my car was perfect before I took it home, and that I was satisfied. He personally diagnosed and fixed my '90 NA's misfire free of charge, an intermittent issue which had been aggravated after dropping it off for a clutch job. The guys who work here are all friendly and true enthusiasts, and if you're luckier than me, the chocolate lab Charlie who hangs out at the shop will let you pet him. If you've got a Z, This is the place to be. The specialty here is Zs (or just about any Nissan really) but, Just about any car gets shown love here from - I saw a 3000GT VR-4 getting shown some TLC. They actually do the job right and are respectful with customer cars, Great guys to work with and pricing is fair. Safe to say this is the only place I'll take my 370Z. read more

I brought in my car for final assembly and wiring. They got it to crank and where supposed to check break in the fresh engine instead they broke it. Dane never even checked for oil pressure. wasted 1500 on a Novice mechanic. Dane sat back and watched him screw up my 300zx Z31. Worst experience ever.
