The operators seemed more interested in reviewing their Instagram and chatting amongst each purposeuflly placing their backs towards others and ignoring (blatant disrespect in their culture) rather than assisting much less acknowledging customers. When finally receiving the time of day by the operators distain is the only word to describe the overall interaction. Selection: much like the desert- the stock had run dry! However their doors remained open despite not offering a fraction of the menu. Each item requested on their menu was either unavailable or outright a borderlined rude "no" uttered in the best english staff was able to be mustered up. Being a fan of ice cream, I thought this would be a great opportunity to try somewhere new and have a little treat, so I decided to check it out. HSII isn't a large space - you're almost immediately greeted by the front counter upon entry. The walls are lined with a decent selection of confections with more available to order. I wanted ice cream, and after looking at available flavors I went with strawberry fields in a waffle cone. It was fine - I didn't find the ice cream to be too special but they gave a lot. Did I think it was worth the almost $6 they charged? No. I also picked up a bag of nonpareils which were just average. Service was fine - they weren't overly friendly but also weren't rude like other reviews mentioned. Overall, I think this place takes advantage of its surroundings by delivering average goods at high prices. My partner had a shake I had a fruit smoothie (they were out of ingredients in my first two choices) no biggie. I ended up with passion fruit with banana. Cute ice cream shop in Tlaqpaque arts village in Sedona.. stopped by here a hot saturday afternoon and it was busy! I ordered the blueberry mixed berry ice cream and loved it but my friend ordered a chocolate chip ice cream and that was okay.. there is no space for indoor seating so feel free to grab your ice cream walk out and sit by the fountains.. Stopped in for ice cream. The clerk was technically nice enough but it seemed forced, as if he could hardly wait to get rid of us. The ice cream itself was adequate in flavor but the price was outrageous for the size of the scoops. My husband and I ordered a single scoop on a basic sugar cone. Each scoop was approximately a 1/4 cup, definitely on the SMALL side. The two cones cost $11.00!! A WHOLE PINT of Hagen Daaz costs less than $6! I know Sedona's revenue is based on tourism but not everyone who visits is made out of money! We couldn't resist but ended up getting some Cookies and Creme Ice Cream. Nothing special about it. But the Coconut and Pineapple Ice Cream was so good. I'm not a fan of coconut flavor ice cream but I have to admit it blended in perfectly with the pineapple. I can't imagine this place to be so popular. So I think there candy bags sit on the shelves for awhile. Sometimes the way I check the freshness of candy and if it is worth buying is pinching the candy to see how soft it is. This is a small candy store that has local and imported goods. Sadly the workers did not seem to know where most of the candy was from. I tried a few chocolate truffles. I would recommend the cappuccino truffles but not the champagne truffle. The Vosges here is way overpriced and you can grab it cheaper at the Natural harvest grocery store down the street. The best chocolate malt I have ever had! I don't think I need to elaborate on that. This little shop is so darn cute, it will make you feel like a kid again. Sugary goodness everywhere you look. It's a great place to get a treat for yourself or to pick up a sweet gift for someone else. Their fudge looked incredible and they carry touristy sweets too, like the scorpion lollipop. Our visit to Sedona would not have been the same without a trip to this location preparing us for our day with a coffee and Hubby's strawberry lemonade. This was our first time here and I was nervous to order iced coffee. When somebody sweetens your coffee for you it can be truly difficult to get it the way you would like it to be. I don't like Starbucks at times because it can be super sweet and strong overwhelmingly sweet. Homemade lemonade is similar to this as well it can be super bitter or super sweet. My husband truly enjoyed the strawberry lemonade it had the perfect amount of sweetness with lots of flavor and was very refreshing. My iced coffee was a mocha and I tasted nothing but delicious chocolate flavor with a hint of coffee. The balance of coffee with the fresh chocolate flavor made this one of the best iced coffee's I've ever had, the chocolate tastes like it was handmade in the back. Delectable!
