We stopped in after a Sedona hike, and this cute little ice cream shop was the perfect treat on a hot day! There were lots of awesome and unique flavors. I opted for monster cookie in a waffle cone, and it was delicious! My kids enjoyed their flavors as well. My husband, a big toffee fan, really loved the red rock toffee. We were on vacation when we went here, but if we are back in the area again we will definitely stop back! read more

Don't get me wrong the ice cream was good, and they'll let you sample the flavors prior to choosing. However the customer service was not there. They weren't rude however they didn't seem happy to help. Also, there's no where to sit inside to enjoy your ice cream but there are benches outside the ice cream parlor to sit. read more

This is a place that will NOT disappoint. 4 years ago I came here with my wife and had a very memorable moment with great flavor and sit down. Today, 4 years later, we were blessed to come back now with our kids as well, and everyone had a very memorable time again. The location is kept clean, the flavors are amazing, the serving sizes are huge, the servjce staff was super nice and friendly! Delicious ice cream right in the heart of the Village of Oak Creek. They're a Sedona staple and have a ton of unique flavors including their signature prickly pear sorbet all the way down to everyday staples such as strawberry and vanilla. Overall was very good, I had the rocky road, the down side were the nuts they were a bit soggy, otherwise good taste and liked the marshmallows. A bit pricey for what you get, two scoops were just under $8 and they charged 3% for using a credit card. read more

Out of nearly every flavor on a weekend in March, the busiest time in Sedona? After waiting in line for over 30 minutes, we were told they only had three flavors available. Completely unacceptable. This should have been communicated upfront before having customers wait that long at the curb. Super disappointing experience. read more

Heard a lot about Rocky Rd on my trip to Sedona. We drove to try their ice cream after a long hike. The customer service was very off. Not greeted or welcomed. No guidance through the menu or serving size, no direction towards utensils. Hope it improves. Perhaps we caught them on a off day? Icecream itself was very flavorful. Creamy! Josh was so great! He was friendly from the moment we walked in the door even though he was busy. He greeted us and asked us to wait kindly. The place smelled amazing! They make their own waffle cones and the smell fills the shop. He allowed us to sample several flavors, and even multiple times for my friend lol the flavor options were a nice match of really unique Arizona inspired flavors like prickly pear colada, and mangocholada sorbet. The small size/single scoop was plenty for one person. It's a cute small shop with outdoor chairs available and cute ice cream decor outside. No seating available inside. Stopped by Rocky Road Ice Cream for a quick treat. It was walking distance from our hotel, the Hilton right behind the building. The shop is small, but colorful and inviting. The staff behind the counter was friendly and helpful. He answered my many questions and let us sample a few flavors before deciding. My husband and I decided to share a scoop each of the mint matcha and Mexican coffee. Both flavors were excellent! Really enjoyed the combination of matcha and mint. For the allergen menu alone, I would rate this place 5 stars. We are a family with egg and nut allergies and they were so accommodating with our requests. They brought out a sheet with ingredients - how incredibly helpful! The blueberry maple waffle and vanilla were very tasty and creamy. The prickly pear float was also tasty. We arrived in Sedona a few moments ago and drove straight to Rocky RD-- Delighted to find it still thriving, after discovering it in 2020-and OPEN despite yelp showing it closed. YAY! Real Homemade Ice Cream, unique flavors. & exceptional service. On our first visit, we had the Apple Pie ice cream-- hunks of actual apple pie in vanilla ice cream and omgoodness so amazing we still talk about it with longing... Since it's REAL HOMEMADE ICE CREAM, the flavors change with the seasons. No apple pie tonight (6/28) but we did have an incredible scoop of Mexican vanilla/blueberry/ maple, a cookies and cream, and a raspberry chipotle that was sweet and spicy and so refreshing! Soooo good! This ice cream hit the spot after a long day of hiking in the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. Its location was perfect because we were able to stop there on our way out of town. There was a little bit of a line but it didn't take too long to get through and was well worth the wait. I got a scoop of apple pie and a scoop of Mexican coffee. My husband got a scoop of bourbon pecan and a scoop of cookies and cream. The best ones were the Mexican coffee and cookies and cream. Both were so flavorful and had a nice velvety texture. The price was average for a small ice cream shop downtown but they gave us decently sized scoops. We will be back the next time we come to Sedona. read more

We found this spot walking around after dinner and stopped in. The two employees there in the evening on 9/16 were both so friendly and told us how much they love working there! I'd give the two of them 10 stars if I could. They also told us they just got done making waffle cones, so of course, that's what we had! I had the rocky road ice cream, the shop's namesake. It was decent. It had some ice crystals in it, which I'm not a big fan of. The flavor was great though! My husband had the bourbon pecan and loved it! Stopped at their location in the Village of Oak Creek after dining at a restaurant in the shopping plaza. The staff was friendly and let us try many flavors. We decided on the prickly pear colada and I am obsessed!! Had to have a scoop every day we were there during our week long stay, seriously its that bomb. Going back to Sedona in 2 weeks for some mountain biking and more of the prickly pear colada goodness. Everyone in our party loved their flavors and the service was super friendly- we even met the owner during one of our visits and he was so friendly. This place deserves 5 stars hands down. read more

Homemade! Highly recommend for ice cream! I notice teens are hired here more often than older generations. The teens are professional and polite so it's very pleasant to come in with great customer service. Prices are reasonable for being homemade. The place is a walk in get ice cream walk out. I came here for dessert after a not so great dinner and this totally made up for it. The shop was cute and they even had little hanging planters outside that looked like ice cream cones. Inside, the shop was small and quaint. The flavors they had were unique. I enjoyed that they had seasonal flavors and prickly pear sorbet. I had to go with the Mexican coffee. It was amazing. I'm addition, I got the peanut butter chocolate flavor and rocky road. Both of those flavors were also good. The ice cream was thick yet not too thick. It tasted like a gelato consistency which was really enjoyable. Note: If you want a small portion, the kid size should be more than enough. I was shocked how much was in the cup although for the price, they do fill it up nicely. I would have been more than full on a half a kid size. Like this place! They have different flavors of homemade ice cream and the price is also reasonable. Their "small" is not small at all, so usually I get a kid sized scoop, and still this satisfies me well as an after meal dessert. ROCKY RD Ice Cream Co. is one of the newest businesses to open its doors at The Collective Sedona! Owners Paul and Erin Cummo are delighted to serve up handcrafted, small batch ice creams and sorbets made with only the finest ingredients. ROCKY RD Ice Cream Co. sources ingredients locally whenever possible with no added coloring or preservatives. With their doors now open, locals and visitors can expect gourmet artisanal flavors and all of the favorites, homemade right here in the Village of Oak Creek with specialty flavors added seasonally.

Meet the Business Owner: Paul C.

Paul and Erin lived and worked in the Village for a few years in the late 1990s while attending classes at Yavapai College- at both the Cottonwood and Prescott campuses. They then returned to the east coast and started their careers and their family. In July of last year, Paul, Erin, and their children Ryan and Paige moved back to the Village of Oak Creek to pursue their dream of owning their own ice cream shop. Paul, artisan ice cream maker, has a passion for making delicious ice creams and sorbets and has for a few years now. They are excited to bring this homemade goodness to all of Sedona and intend to be very active in the community. The shop is located between Miley's Cafe and The Chai Spot here at The Collective Sedona (7000 Hwy 179, Sedona, AZ 86351). Please stop in for a visit! Hours are 12pm to 8pm every day.

In fact after the attitude of the "chef" I have doubts about patronizing or recommending the other restaurants Lisa Dahl owns.

Just because you are in the resort does not mean you need to charge out the ass for mid food and poor / unprofessional service. For dinner there are tons of places in town and around the corner that are worth your time and money. For breakfast we didn't even give them a chance, took it across the street to juniper cafe for a much better time.

Unfortunately my burger was a little more rare that mid rare the closer I got to the center of it and under seasoned there were some Thai flavors present but most of it was taken over by the slaw, so you did not get much of the peanut sauce, the crunchy noodle part of it go more soggy and so did the bun. I think it's a wonderful concept, I think there may be a better bun to use to not let it get so soggy, and I think there are some amazing Thai spices you can get with the protein. My wife got the Greek Tacos and they were ok too, I love the concept but I think instead of corn tortillas I would do some thin naan , I would have more Greek style seasoning and some kind of sauce with some heat with it and you have a winner. Over all it was fun, love the inventive concept I was going to do three starts but honestly I love that your doing interesting foods. .
