I have found these things are very rare in doctors. Dr. Nelson is one of the best doctors I've met. She is respectful of your time and attentive to your concerns. As he became swamped with administrative duties, I switched to Dr. Mark Sullivan in the same practice. Dr. Sullivan has been devoting a number of hours trying to coordinate my treatments with a number of specialists who are treating me for problems with my kidneys, bladder, colon, skin, blood, vision, and diabetes When I encountered problems, I was able to find a solution. For example, I wanted to get copies of the doctors notes to make certain that I remembered all of the decisions we had made that day. The staff refused my request, so at the next meeting with the doctor, I raised the issue. He said I had a right to see anything in the file, and he informed the staff. After this, I never had a problem accessing my records.

Some highlights to speak on: 1) Parking is ample, both street parking and the lot that is tucked behind the building. 2) Wait time is minimal (~10 min if that?) when you enter to check in for your appointment. By the time you're finished filling out all the necessary forms, a nurse comes out and calls you to take vitals. 3) Everyone is kind is professional. My PCP at this practice is Dr. Kwabena Owusu and he is THE BEST. I actually had my annual physical with him today. Very personable, easy going, and friendly. One time I had a mild scare (too embarrassing to go into detail lols) and called the office to see if he could fit me in. Despite him having a full schedule, he was willing to quickly fit me in for a quick 10-15 consultation for my issue. He is wonderful and would recommend him if anyone is looking for a PCP. I'm actually surprised that there are such low ratings for this practice, but I don't require much. As long as people are professional, generally nice, and don't speak down/at me, I'm a happy camper.

He was very good about addressing my (many) questions and concerns. Surgery day was last Tuesday, and I was up and around (with no need for opioids) the next day! By Friday, I was forgetting that I actually had a surgical wound. It's been a week now and I feel like it never even happend! I'm shocked at how efficient and pain-free this procedure was! If you need thyroid surgery, this is the surgeon to do it! BTW, his office staff is great, and has been nothing but very friendly and accomodating to me. Big ups all around!
