I've been with Dental One for about a year or so now and although I've grown accustomed to being there, my most recent visit was the best one that I've had to date. I am not really a fan of the dentist, haven't been since I was a child so being able to feel safe and stress-free and not anxious in there is a big deal. The moment my dental hygienist stepped into the exam room I felt a sense of calm and that I was in goods hands! Ms. TY (I can't remember her full name - sorry girl) had the best energy and was very engaging! She was very personable and you could tell that she really enjoys what she does. She walked me through everything that would be taking place and even shared some insight and suggestions on how to improve my overall oral health ... even though she stated everything looked good :). We did my cleaning, which she was very attentive too, and then I was sent on my way with some goodies and at home instructions. I definitely requested to work with her again and moving forward for all appointments. The rest of my care team was good too (including the doctor/dentist) and the young lady who took my x-rays (I believe her name was Ashley). The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the wait time. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am but I wasn't sat in the chair until 10:10am and ended up not leaving all together until about 11:05am. The 30min+ wait was very unappealing, but otherwise I would recommend.

I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. I returned almost every week for months reporting pain, sensitivity, and not being able to chew on that side. Each time, I was told to "let it heal" or was given a courtesy refill or X-ray... but no real solution. During my time as a patient, I constantly had billing issues. I would be told I was "paid in full," only to return and suddenly have a balance due. One time, I was hit with a $175 charge before they would finish my crown even though I had Care Credit and was told nothing else would be owed. My mother was even present when I was told I was paid up. I finally stopped going after being brushed off and hit with another surprise balance. I called to speak to the office manager(Sharonda), and instead of compassion, I got a combative attitude and overtalking. She offered to see me again but only out-of-pocket since they no longer take my insurance. I've since looked at the reviews and realized I'm not alone so many people have experienced poor communication, surprise bills, and subpar care. I would not recommend this office to anyone, especially those with dental anxiety or insurance concerns. You deserve better than to be dismissed when you're in pain, especially pain you didnt have before being serviced here.
