    Breakfast was great

Excellent food quality. Service was first class. If I was a local I would be a regular here for sure.

Another fantastic meal at Howard Dooley . This time I visited for lunch and had the club . The bread was toasted perfectly and the tomatoes and lettuce was fresh . Top quality Mayo was used . I had the side of green beans for a side. This establishment has reasonable prices at top quality .. Keep up the good work !

    Dessert & specials menu, etc.

Just had a You Pick 3 breakfast (eggs, delicious sausage patty, toast). Clean, quick and friendly service. Saw the lunch specials being written up and plan to come back for lunch!

Hands down has to be the best restaurant in Matthew's!! The prices are unbeatable, the food is fantastic and the service is A1! You know it's good eating when your group of 5 gets up and this is how the plates look! "You're lucky we don't lick them clean" -Jesse R Davis

Spectacular! I have been anxiously awaiting for Cravings to open…read more TIP: Go ASAP. They can and have been know to sell out fast. They are active on Instagram and Facebook. They opened up about a month or so ago. I live about 80 min away from Cape Charles. So I generally I plan a day trip to visit. My kiddos and I had a Monday trip this week. I was worried they may not be open since sometimes Monday's are a day businesses close to recover from the summer weekend rush. But, they were open! When we arrived we headed straight back to where they are located inside of Table & Tonic.... Super cute store by the way. They still had a pretty good selection around 12:30pm. We picked up some sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, soda and their homemade desserts. They have a whole self checkout system set up. You bag it, and pay for it all on your own. They have plastic wear and condiment packets if needed. The male there (assuming owner) was great. He was attentive and helped a customer chose their sandwich... which ended up being the chicken salad. The sandwiches were fantastic! Fresh and tasty! My favorite was The Virginia. It was like a chicken Caesar salad on focaccia. The bread was perfect, not hard at all. My children raves about the chicken salad sandwich. Their two pasta salad options are a perfect accompaniment to the sandwiches. One is a creamy base and the other is more of an oil and vinegar type of base. Both were absolutely delicious! The salads looked fresh and the homemade desserts were a sweet bonus to everything. I do wish there is lighter options, as tthey do not weigh so heavy on the stomach for the beach. Other than that everything is wonderful and keep up the great work! You will go places for sure!

We tried the Mason and the Shore Thing. They were both cold, fresh, and delicious. The staff were friendly and happy to answer my question about the sauces on the sandwiches. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a whimsical, nautical meets industrial interior. Think exposed brick, quirky elephant and octopus artwork, and cozy seating that feels both inviting and upscale. It's the kind of place where you'll want to linger over your meal and soak in the unique ambiance. As for the food, it did not disappoint. I started with the Ale & Onion Soup, and wow. This was comfort in a bowl! The robust flavor of Guinness melded perfectly with the caramelized onions, and the bubbling gruyère on the toasted bread points just took it over the top. It was savory, rich, and perfect for the chilly day. My friend went for the She Crab Soup, and couldn't stop raving about it. Creamy and absolutely packed with local crab meat. The puffed oyster crackers and a sprinkle of Old Bay were the ultimate finishing touch. I managed to sneak a bite, and it was heavenly! We also asked the bartender for a fun cocktail, and they whipped up a bright, lemony drink that was as refreshing as it was beautiful. It was perfectly balanced and not too sweet, served with a citrus twist. Service was great. Friendly, attentive without hovering, and happy to make recommendations. If you're in Cape Charles and looking for a spot that nails both food and atmosphere, you can't go wrong here. Already planning my next visit!

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.
