And no I didn't complain, I just cleaned it myself. The counter areas where the tv and desk are were not wiped down and cleaned at all. Sticky drink rings in 3 different areas. Counters themselves were sticky, crumbs on the counter and on the floor. Floor was not vacuumed at all. Even the hallway to going to my room was dirty and not vacuumed. Finger prints all over the windows. It was disappointing to see but I gave 4 stars because the staff was so friendly and I usually always have a great experience at all Hiltons

The view from the room was a garden view on one side and a open field with barn on the front. We watched peacocks, guinea, horses, goats, chickens, mules, ducks, and cows from the window. Bring your boots to get to the dock then enjoy a canoe or cayak ride while birding or fishing. WONDERFUL spot for a serenity walk of paddle. The room is large with a refrigerator, bar area, small kitchen table and luxury vinyl flooring & couch seating area.. The bed was comfortable and all amenities were upscale. One downside is that there is no tub and my wife enjoys a nice, soaking, hot bath. No option there. Really, this was a nice stay, but most of the amenities were closed due to Covid and it was a Monday night, weeknight, so the bar area was closed. A coworker suggested I stay at another hotel about an hour away, based on his stays in the past. The lady who checked me in was nice and friendly. My room looked nice at first glance. The underside of the toilet seat and its base were not clean. Mildew in the shower and along the bathroom floor. It was late and the hotel was full so I wasn't offered options of another room. There was no hot water in the shower the next morning. I waited about 20 minutes and still no hot water. Waited some more but had to endure a really cold shower on a very cold day. I mentioned the lack of hot water to the front desk clerk who said there is only one hot water heater and it always runs out when the hotel is full. I suggested the hotel upgrade the current equipment or get an additional one. The clerk just shrugged her shoulders as if it would never happen. Since I was running late, I picked up the grab & go breakfast bag. Another big disappointment as the banana was brown and the bagel was past its expiration date. Another fail! Next time I will listen to my coworker and stay in another town. I suggest avoiding this hotel until they get their hot water situation fixed.

Clemson is a billion dollar institution and to host a conference at their "university hotel" that is in this bad of shape is absolutely wild. On the plus, the view of the lake is phenomenal.

After a long day on the road we checked in late. After placing all my luggage down I ran to grab a…read morequick dinner and brought it back. I pulled chair out of desk to sit down when a Cockroach looking thing ran out from underneath the table. I immediately stepped on it and went down stairs to report it. I had to ASK to be moved rooms. It wasn't offered to me. I then moved rooms got settled in. When I pulled back sheets to crawl in I see long hair through out the bed. I then look at second bed I didn't see any hairs. I was to exhausted to go back down stairs. Slept bad obviously and sure didn't eat the breakfast.
