It is a great value as it's included in the rate of the hotel. Very well stocked and maintained by the staff. Breakfast area was very clean. Rooms - I had a room overlooking the parking lot on the second floor, which is under construction. Did not hear any construction noise, though. The walls are pretty thin but I brought earplugs and slept peacefully both nights. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the bath products were nice. Housekeeping- upon check in I noticed a plastic blue thing by the bed on the floor that looked slimy - I stared at it for about a minute and then realized it was probably the top to a jar of Vaseline. I did not mention it to the front desk as I was about to turn around and leave, but I did call to report scratches on the bathroom wallpaper. The next morning I removed the "resting comfortably" sign from the doorknob and left a tip by the bed. On my way to the elevator around 11am I observed the housekeeping cart across from my room. Returned late that evening and the money was still there - housekeeping had not come. Not a big deal because I didn't need it at all, but I am sure some people would have a fit over this. Also it might be stained and can't be helped, but the toilet did not look clean. Overall I would recommend and stay again, but with managed expectations.

He yelled out in front of everyone, "Mam, please use the tongs" (she was getting a piece of bread and didn't use the tongs). The proper thing to do since this is a service related job, should have been to go over and help her get it and in a quieter tone, tell her to please use the tongs. She was quite embarrassed as everyone looked her way. So, Hotel gets a 5, Kitchen guy doesn't get a 5, but should be taught how to deal with the non-tonging grandma.

Russell and Brenda are the kind and helpful managers. Parking is limited to a side street but perfectly safe in this small town. I wish the wiring would allow a few more outlets in the rooms. Bring your 10' lightning charging cords and a multi usb adaptor... but it's an old house. The charm beats the lo band width WiFi (use your personal hotspot). So this is not a complaint: be aware that you are coming to an older property with eccentricities and you will be delighted.

The one hotel that did make my night, was Best Western in Broussard right off of Hwy 90. I called and Michelle the weekend front desk person was very busy at the moment with others checking ins. She said I do have rooms availble Mrs Mary can I get your phone number and call you less than 5 mins? I refused to drive home to Baton Rouge. Once Michelle called me back, she immediately asked me for my information so once I arrive I just had to walk up and get my keys. Walking into the hotel it was very pretty, extremely clean & had a pleasant scent. The rooms were spotless. The breakfast was very tasty and the bar was well kept. If you are traveling through Lafayette on a weekend and u are extremely tired, please give Michelle a call. She won't let you down. The staff was welcoming and very nice. Room was very clean and safe! Loved the location, near shopping and restaurants. Ordered DoorDash and had a wonderful meal in our room. The fully stocked kitchen offered the ability to eat on plates, clean up and store leftovers in the fridge. The room was beautiful and spacious! While traveling such long distances it is great to be able to spread out. We travel with a pup and they had a wonderful grassy area for the dog and clean up bags available outside. Very accommodating! Highly recommend and will stay again on our way home!

The owners were very welcoming and invited us to fresh cooked breakfast when we woke up. We got to visit with them and some other guests staying there. It was exactly what we needed just relax and get away. There are several places to eat within a short drive and Bayou Teche Brewery is just a few miles north on the same road. What a great option for staying in the Lafayette/ Breaux Bridge/ Henderson area. The home is over 200 years old and immaculately refurbished and maintained. The owners are personable and very helpful. Bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts are delicious. Give the Maison Stephanie a try if you are looking to stay in the area.
