I saw him for 9 months and spent thousands of dollars all with his encouragement. nearly bankrupting myself and 4 years later, I still have thousands of dollars of credit card debt from when I saw this person. Sure he knows the bare minimum at somatic experiencing and craniosacrial therapy but it doesn't really matter, when you are homeless and struggle with food, and rent. He doesn't know simple mental health terms such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I've lost valuable years trying to figure out how to make money and why I can't hold a job or clean my living space. I was even homeless for 6 months. I paid thousands of dollars for advice such as I can't clean my room because I'm depressed. So I should do fun things and my room will be cleaned. I later came to realize that I couldn't clean or organize my room because of ADHD, and I spent zero dollars on free therapy from Medical When I got $10,000 to pay off my credit card debt, he pressured me to use the money to spend on him. Him being a man, and me being scared of disobeying me because he had a stern voice, and he kept pressuring me when I tried to argue that the anxiety about my credit card debt. "K remember what we said, we have to stick to the plan, spend money now so then later you can make money to pay off credit card debt." I have not made enough money to make even a dent on my $10,000 credit card debt. He was the only therapist who never was concerned with my basic needs such as food, water, shelter. Other therapists, who I saw for free on Medi-cal, were always concerned and gave me resources which is why I could dig myself out poverty. They were also willing to speak on the phone with me for more than 2 minutes. I called him once, and tried to speak to him and within the first minute he expressed his boundaries of never calling him. And I spent thousands of dollars on this guy. He would always got on vacation, and it seemed that he would spend the bare minimum on my case. Anyway he took advantage of me and he did so because I was a naive patient. I have better boundaries now, but I'll never get back my money or time. I wouldn't recommend if you are a woman or very anxious about decision making. There are way better therapists out there. I am a 66 year-old man, using 1mg of Klonopin/day I wished to be rid of. Before the Dr Collins prescribed the plan for my detox, meaning the alternate med he would put me on to replace and remove the Klonopin dependency, I showed him my GeneSight work up of my ability to metabolize each and every of the psychotropic medicines. Stumped, as it showed contradictions with his choice(s) of alternate medication, he figuratively threw up his hands and prescribed Phenobarbital to do the job. Disappointed, to put it mildly, in Dr. Collins obvious lack of knowledge of the subject matter, focus ability on a solution, and individual patient nuance, I was nervous about his conclusion yet quickly (15 minutes) dismissed from his presence and told I'd be seen in a week. (It is only now, six months later (by the grace of 23&Me), I learned the 2 REASONS why Phenobarbital was diametrically the exact WRONG drug of choice for me.) 2 days later, I was taken by ambulance from hilltop facility to ER at Cedars Sinai, Los Angeles where I was admitted and held for 3 days in the heart wing with heart arterial fibrillation, which was followed by cardio version a month later after release. Suffice to say, a VERY expensive, and life threatening mistake. My review? Beware, you can do better. Your life, as mine was, may depend on it. BTW - Ambrosia/Forefront is now closed. Does it surprise me? No. Do I know why? I can wager and educated guess. I am only grateful others will not be potentially subject to my misfortune.
