Their new delivery methods are awful. They rely on DoorDash, but if the dasher happens to bring the wrong order, neither DoorDash nor Howard's are willing to make the mistake right. We received someone else's complete order and none of our own. When each place was called/contacted neither would accept responsibility. We had to make our order twice and received no refund or compensation for their mistakes. Pretty sad... they were one of our go to's prior to this whole fiasco. read more

They have new owners? My Favorite was always Deluxe. I have been eating Howards since the 60's. Last one was disgusting. Sauce was bland tomato sauce. I'm not sure that this pizza is the best I've ever had, and I could see where some may not be a fan, but I really like it. Whenever I travel to Great Falls, I order pizza from here...that includes multiple times during the week (my boss laughs at my expense report). This pizza is the same as other pizza places, that ironically, deliver in paper wraps and have similar style names (Howard's, Duane's, Tom's)...and I like them all. These seem to be popular in their home towns. It's a delicious thin crust pizza (not much sauce), cut into squares. The toppings are hidden under the cheese, which I like. Howard's will always be a place I stop and eat at when I come back to Great Falls. However, the last 2 times I have had it it has not been as good as it used to be. The default pizza here is a thin-crust, which is different than what I'm used to. My classmate and I split a large, half-pepperoni half-Howard's special, which is sausage, onion, and green pepper. I wasn't a fan of the thin crust, but I will say that it still managed to fill both of us up. The Howard's special was tasty, but I wasn't a fan of the pepperoni. Place has gone down hill prices not so much. The customer service always is terrible, food if made right is hit or miss. Sometimes you get burnt, other times undercooked dough and finally usually screw up the toppings on already simple pizza. Soooo good! We ordered half taco pizza and kraut special they delivered it while we were at the sip n dip. Efficient and friendly service. I'd only recommend to turn the music down if you're picking up the phone for orders cause I felt like I had to speak louder to make sure our order was heard correctly. Totally overrated by locals. Terrible pizza. First, they use canned mushrooms, which is inexcusable. Everything else is pretty bland. I have no idea who came up with the idea of dicing the pizza (a large is about 30 pieces, cut on a grid), but it is not cute, or quirky, or in any way endearing. It is a pain in the ass to eat. The middle of the pizza has pieces that are about 1 1/2 inches square and soggy. You need to have a fork. The flavor is best described as "edible". We got wings too, but they were so bad, I think it's unfair to write a review about them, because I don't think the restaurant is actually trying to make an effort here. Nice friendly staff, and prompt service, but just bad food. I have no idea how they have four locations. It must be a Great Falls thing. They can keep it. read more

Very un-trendy old-school parlor-style pizza. It's the type of blast from the past I always love finding. The pies weren't quite as flavorful as I had hoped, but the thin crust and decent quality of cheese made it enjoyable. The finest pizza made in America using top grade ingredients for over 50 years. I used to work there 54 years ago when in high school in the support pantry. The pizza has not changed in quality or taste for all that time. I personally watched and can attest that the mozzarella, which is layered on in thick slices, is top grade as are the meats, tomato puree and other ingredients. I do not recommend ordering from downtown Howard's pizza. We had an order including a half of pint of ranch on a previous order which they did NOT deliver. When I called to order another pizza I told them last time they did not include a half of pint of ranch and they owed me that. The girl told me they could not honor giving me a half of pint of ranch "because they didn't have it "written on the board" even though I had the ticket number... so wth ever I ordered pizza again anyway.
