He followed Dr. Safer's instructions, and had very good treatment from Dr. Safer and his staff. Dr. Safer took the time to explain in great detail what he was doing, and planning on doing to my son's teeth. They all seem very skilled, patient, and it's a very clean office. Their x-ray machine was broken one day asked us to come back the next day when it was fixed. We did that and then they told us we needed two different types of x-rays but the other machine was broken so we would have to come back again the next week.An appointment made three months ago and we show up at 9 AM on our day off and the orthodontist is not in and they claim to have tried to call us which they absolutely did not. If the insurance hadn't paid them completely already I would have switched orthodontists a long time ago! This office is a disaster

They only care about taking your money, nothing else. My son has not seen the dentist since November 2023, we are in March now of 2024. He has braces. They have cancelled the appointment every month so far with an excuse every time and no back up dentists in the office to see him. They just make another appointment in another month and call you the same day to cancel. Every time. We paid for these braces already so they could care less! Do NOT take your kids here!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff at Cuozzo Orthodontics is outstanding. Every person there is competent, knowledgeable and friendly. Additionally, the office runs like a clock. You sign in and they are ready for you. You are in professional hands all the way. There was no pain. All gain. I'm really happy with my result but I'll miss going in there regularly. It took THREE times for my filling to be done correctly, and we're talking about in the span of only approx two months from getting the 1st one, not an extended period of time from the initial filling. To make matters worse, after being told I was not being billed for the 2nd and 3rd time I went in for them to fix it, I have repeatedly been receiving emails, texts, and bills in the mail since Summer of 2025 (it is now Spring 2026) saying that I do and threatening to put it in collections. Good luck getting a person to reply to you in either a timely manner or at all. Even when they do, the problem doesn't get corrected. I was more than understanding all of this time before coming to write this review, but at some point enough is enough. I do not recommend this practice at all.

So let me tell you... I had an ortho emergency, as in, during a trip back east, I may or may NOT…read morehave eaten something that was heavily frowned upon by my orthodontist... However, as luck would have it, something broke off, and I had a wire digging into my gums... Can I tell you how NOT sexy that is when you are bleeding from your gums?? So I figured, I need to find an ortho and it should be a simple fix... How wrong I was... Nobody wanted to even look at my teeth, because "not the original Orthodontist who did the work..." I offered cash (who doesn't like cash these days??!!) and nobody would do it... Not scheduled to be home for another two weeks, I almost contemplated running to Lowe's, buying a pair of metal cutters (or a hammer) and snipping off the brackets myself... Enter, Dr. Chung... Can I tell you his bedside manner is EVEN better than my doctor back home?? He told me the difficulties that could persist, but would take a look and see what he could do... Not only did this guy contact my ortho, speak to him directly, get permission to view my file / x-rays, he fixed me right up... To top it off, he absolutely refused, REFUSED to accept any form of payment... Floored... I don't know what to say, except for the fact that beyond humbled by my experience here in Jersey... Side note... Cleanest office I have ever been in... I would contemplate eating off the floor if i dropped something... Some places the 5 second rule is not applicable... Not here... You can stretch it out to a 50 second rule... Thanks again, Doc... Seriously, I hope for nothing but the best for you and your practice...
