Never showed up for weekly service as promised when they opened the pool. Supervisor acknowledged that they accidentally left us off the schedule and promised someone would show up the following Monday. Six days later no one has shown or called back. Their mailbox is full. I called Howorth Pools at the end of 2019 to replace a faulty Jandy Salt Cell. They responded quickly and took care of the problem. 2 years later, the salt cell failed again. I contacted Jandy to file a warranty claim and they identified the Salt Cell to be 7+ years old, 2014 model, a 5 year old piece of equipment upon install. I don't know or recall if Howorth at the time sold the item as new or used, but I paid full retail.. Have been attempting to contact for more than a month now to see how they would respond, and they always respond with the super visor/owner is not around and will call back. Very disappointing. Based on this experience, this is not a company I would recommend. read more

Had them to come out August of 2022 for an estimate on a new liner and re - do steps. Total cost for everything was $7200.00 with 1/2 down. Liner was installed and work finished 10/11/2022 - We covered up after seeing that there were no leaks for winter. After uncovering this year 2023 liner had slipped in shallow end. Called and they sent their guy out and fixed it right up. A week or two later noticed the deeper end had same issued ( liner slipping ). I called and was told I had been put on the list for him to come back out and fix it. Waited and nothing or no one. So, I text Angela on 21st of April and was told the weather was warm enough and weather was pretty that week to send him back out. Never happened. Next text was May 1st and her response was I see we have cold days but yes I have you down. Called May 10th and no answer. I texted May 10th also with no response. Next text May 17th and only after I mentioned I am filing a Lawsuit did I get a response. After I was told by the owners' children that if this happened, they would make it good and take care of me. If that's not the case, they look me in the face and lied. Now Angela is saying that him coming out was a kind gesture o their part. Also, that most company's charge to have it pulled back up. Also, that it is the track not the liner. I know for a fact that the tract is fine! Angela also stated that it's rough on their hands. It was rough on my hand's too after writing that check to them. I have hired a law firm and will proceed with this. They are drafting it, now. I will start looking for someone to help me correct this before whole liner comes off. What a horrible experience. If I have to stay in the court system forever, I am prepared to do so. You cannot do people this way!!!!! Also document everything as I have. Total nightmare!!! read more

I figured I would be put on a waiting list because we waited to long to book. Jeff said no list and it would be done promptly. They were very informative and on time. Every time I called I always received a person and they stayed on top of everything until the job was done. In the process I made a new friend. I had a major leak in my pool and was losing a tremendous amount of water everyday!! I came across Howorth pools when I googled pool services. I spoke with Angela and explained I had a major leak in our pool and that we had other people come out to look at the pool but they could not figure out the problem, after trying for multiple days!! She immediately got someone out to my house and Jeff put on his diving gear and found the leak in less then 5 minutes!! This leak was turning into a major headache for our family. He found leak and patched and replaced necessary components to pool for a very reasonable price! He also had great equipment to diagnose and fix issue. He and Angela were very kind and very professional. I highly recommend them for any and all pool services!!! read more

I called them on Tuesday. Jeff Howarth checked out the repair on Wednesday. By Thursday, their repairman did excellent work repairing the pump and left a clean work site. Without delay, the next job was started and again the area was left immaculate. I am so happy to have found a pool company that starts and completes a job so well. I have to say my experience with this company was the WORST I have EVER experienced. We hired them to clean and repair the hot tub on a home we were selling - they assured us it would be no problem. Well after 3 months and almost $1700 (umpteen different reasons why - they continued to send different folks out who would all find a totally different problem) we finally got it fixed - however, it was a total nightmare. They would say they were going to be there on a certain day and not show and then they wouldn't return phone calls and when you would get anyone on the phone they would always start with "no-one likes to work on hot tubs because they are such a problem" WELL THEN DON'T ADVERTISE THAT YOU REPAIR HOT TUBS!!!. I can't tell you how many different people I had to deal with and ALL of them were the same - rude, inconsiderate and totally unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend these folks to anyone - absolutely horrible!!! read more
