Dab and Justin came by to tuck in my new liner. They did an exceptional job, reducing the water minimally to relieve pressure on the liner and allow for stretching. They even had to use a heat gun to warm the liner and put it in place. They were friendly, professional, and thorough. I have been with Dacula Pool for over 18 years (they installed my pool), and the service from Jill, Crystal, and the staff has been great. Dacula Pool Service was recommended to us by our neighbors when we recently moved into our new home. We called them to winterize our pool and they were very friendly and set us up with a technician to come out. When the technician arrived, he did not notify anyone he was there, entered our yard through our closed gate and operated our automatic pool cover that was not cleaned off from the rain that day resulting in the lines of our cover breaking. When we noticed he was there and confronted him, he said "sometimes being a pool owner sucks" and left (leaving empty bottles from the winterization on my patio). We called the office to explain what happened and we were told they routinely enter properties without notifying homeowners to complete service calls but they do not deal with automatic pool covers and there was nothing they can do about our automatic cover that was damaged during their visit. I had to call another company to come out and fix my cover, resulting in a $1093.25 bill. Dacula Pool Service rectified this situation by waiving my $100 charge for pool winterization. HORRIBLE customer service, I absolutely would not recommend them. read more

The 2 star overall listing is too high. I had these people out at start of season to find a leak and replace a hayward salt cell. Paid a $125 plus trip charge. Couldn't find the leak, and did not install the flow meter on the new cell. I had the little part but they did not even check flow on control panel to see if it was needed. I talked to the two before they left after just over an hour and they said they had completed the install and could not find the leak. Hours later I saw the low flow indicator and called. A rude female told me I would be charged a trip charge for them to come out and finish the job by installing the part they did not ask me about. She adamantly insisted that the same model from them did not come with a flow switch and since I did not inform them, that failure to complete the job was somehow my fault. Asked to talk to owner and never heard a word. Well to make a long story short, I found on the internet how to replace the switch. And, after several attempts at valve adjustment, found the leak. NOW THESE PEOPLE KEEP BILLING ME FOR 30+ BUCKS FOR A JOB LEFT UNFINISHED AND THREATEN COLLECTION!!!! We all know that for thirty bucks it will not hurt a customer with excellent credit. We found Dacula pool through the "Best of Gwinnett" website and felt comfortable signing up with them. Two trips to our home and almost $1000 later our pool is still dirty and the vacuum they charged us to fix is still broken. We followed up with them several times via email to understand why we were being charged for things that hadn't been done and after forwarding us an invoice (after charging our card for said invoice) we never heard back. Gotta give a huge shout-out to these folks!! Just purchased a house with an above-ground pool. Earlier this week, the filter ran and drained half the pool. I filled it back up, and the next morning was exactly the same. I frantically called different pool service companies, did a search on Yelp, and even in a community board. I couldn't get any help because I said the words "above-ground pool". Without any luck, and staring at a half-empty pool, I called these gals up. They were very polite and friendly, asked me a few questions, and came to the conclusion I needed a new valve cover. What they said seemed to make sense, so I drove up there after work with old valve cover in-hand. They took one look and said "yep... the gasket is worn." Bought a new cover, went home, and replaced it. JACKPOT!! It worked! Not only did they help me when no one else seemed to want to, they saved me a ton of money! Used for pool cleaning weekly from April to Dec then monthly Jan- March. Service people changed several times. Service would pull up get out and eyeball pool, maybe Che k skimmer baskets then sit in driveway 30 mins and leave. For 3 months the pool was not backwashed. In the beginning service was good, not great and it went down hill from there. read more

Dan and his crew did an excellent job of installing our in ground pool, Dan did a very thorough job of advising us on the best options and didn't try to up sell us on options we probably wouldn't use. His installation crew was excellent and very courteous and respectful of our property. Dans customer service was excellent he and his staff answered my text messages within an hour, and he is now doing several pools in our neighborhood because of the professional work he did at our home. I scheduled an appointment with Dacula Pool Service a month prior to my appointment as they would very booked. I had to pay in advance only to have not one but two no call no shows. When I called them to see if they were still coming out they said know we can reschedule you at the end of the month. I have never seen a company so delinquent and unprofessional. As I started to ask my question customer service proceeded to cut me off and talk over me, at first I thought it was just a bad connection...in conclusion she was just very rude, yelling and I took my business to Thompson pool company that Saturday and couldn't be happier! These people are excellent. I have used them for about three years now for chemicals and parts for my Polaris pool sweep. They have also been to my house for a pump repair. Yesterday I took my Polaris in for repair. They called me back to say it was repaired the same day and only charged me $40.00. I hooked it back up and it now works like it did when new. read more

I wish I could put zero stars. Terrible customer service! I called them in the morning to find out if they had a part in stock before I drove there. Could not get through so I left a voice mail. No call back. So I called again 4 hours later. Same thing, no one answered. Had to leave a voice mail again....said I left a message this morning and no one has called me back, I asked the same question and for them to call me back ASAP. She finally called me back and said yes we have the part. Great I will come pick it up. Oh sorry we are closed!! What company waits all day long to call their customers back. We have been using Dacula Pool Service for the past five years. Prior to that we were using a larger chain and felt we needed and wanted a more personalized partnership with the people servicing our pool. I have found the staff in the store and the service techs to be helpful, courteous and dependable. I never feel that they are trying to "make a sale" as much as they are trying to solve our problems and answer our questions, I trust them to be on site when we are not home and am comfortable with the recommendations they make. They just came whenever they want and charged us $70 each trips. I have told them that if they charge us high amount of money they have to contact us and we should discuss, but they never listen.
