I love to sleep on my brother, himz belly is soft

I only have wonderful things to say about the support that I have received from HSSW Behavioral & Training Center. Cierra Whitcomb, who is an expert in her field, has coached me through some really tough times with my sweet, yet very 'special' girl "Suki." Who was found roaming the streets of Vancouver, WA for who knows how long. She suffered from a strong case of FEAR AGGRESSION and possibly other issues of abuse but do not know her history as she was abandoned and a stray. She was only 18 mos old and a mere 50lbs and pregnant when they found her. The poor thing was afraid of everything and needed serious rehabilitation. We were offered some help from HSSW Training Center and met Cierra, our trainer. At the time, I thought we were just getting some general training lessons, sit, stay, down, shake, you know the basics, how wrong I was. This center truly cares about DOGS, they were there to support me and help her to be the best dog she could be and stay in her forever home. Cierra became our mental therapist as well as physical training expert. For the next 4 months we worked hard, it wasn't an easy job for Cierra as we were a handful. Suki, the misunderstood problem child and me the neurotic new Mommy, who knew little about dogs and really nothing about German Shepards, the breed. Their high prey drive, or strong reactivity, we needed more than help, we needed a professional expert in the field and that, Cierra was. I listened intently to her recommendations and the more I followed her advice and practiced what I'd learned the better things got and the more Suki listened and improved. Suki now walks on a loose leash, heels when told, goes straight into a sit w/o being told and tries her best to focus and "leave it." Then the biggest improvement of all, after 4 months of isolating my cat and keeping them separated, by door, then baby gates and finally in person with gentle introductions, Suki now loves her brother "the Puss" they play together, sleep together and groom each other. It is nothing short of a miracle! So, with lots of support and guidance from this wonderful Behavioral Training Center and Cierra specifically, we have come full circle. Suki, who was a very scared, reactive, fear AGGRESSIVE dog, now walks without pulling me all over the place, who knows and implements verbal commands on demand, who now appreciates and loves (well...likes) her cat brother. She has found her confidence to enjoy a happy dog life, without fear and anxiety. What was once considered a potentially a non adoptable dog just 5 short months ago, is now a happy, well adjusted, loving member of our family, (Mommy, Suki & Puss) THANK YOU! HSSW Behavioral and Training Center and especially, Cierra Whitcomb, we couldn't have done it without you.

The most well behaved and mellow companion you could hope for. Our beautiful dog; Boom was 2 years old and had reached the (protect mommy stage) she wanted to fight any dog in my vicinity- if they threatened me or not We were told that our dog was beyond help, they would not even allow her into any sort of training. After hearing that, we were devastated, thinking we were never going to have a dog we could take to the Farmers Market or to any other event, never have a well socialized dog. When we asked Carmen to step in...she asked to come to our Home to evaluate Boom. No charge!! AMAZING!! Who comes to your home like that?!?! She obviously cared! She came and spent time with our dog and after her evaluation, told us that Boom was not unusual, she just needed "lead aggressive" training....she was right. Once a week for 6 weeks, we took the classes and conquered our girl's aggression. Although it has been 6 years, the amazing effects are lasting. Carmen is the leader is training!! PLEASE: You cannot give up on your dog, they can change.... Carmen will help you to help your dog. She is kind of tough but dang, she is GOOD! Go see her, let her help.

Traveling should never be stressful for you or your dog. I would be a great option for you of you adopted a dog from a shelter/rescue as I have the training and background for it. I offer puppy/dog socialization for anyone needing to socialize their pups around other vaccinated dog-friendly dogs. If you are looking to board your dog with us we send daily updates and pictures of your dog(s) unless requested otherwise. Completely comfortable administering scheduled/needed medications while in our care. Families are more than welcome to schedule a call to ask any questions and I can answer them as well as elaborate on my work experience and qualification's. I love and enjoy cats very much, I offer pet sitting services for cat owners as well and have a kitty room that's completely cat friendly or I can travel to your residence once or twice a day to care for your cat(s) and do wellness checks on them/spend time with them if you live 20 minutes or under from my residence. I also offer this to dog owners who would rather have their dog stay in the comfort or their home IF AND ONLY IF they have a humane setup for their dog at home and do not have scheduled medications needing administered at a strict time.

My animal passed not because of anything the vet ever did and I would never imply that. The conversation we had on the day was a quick line about being frustrated that they weren't open and then to the conversation about the animal I was there with. I'm very sorry if she felt like I was trying to blame her. Additionally, I was assuming the event they had to close for was a last minute thing because I did not think a professional setting would have planned to be closed that day and not have any sort of notification. This review was specifically about my experience of the location. Personally, I would caution people from going to a business where the business manager spend his Sunday night looking up information on past patients (which I'm assuming happened because he was able to state a specific date) just to combat a bad review. TLDR: This used to be a wonderful place under Dr. Burton, but the new owners have ruined the good reputation and good will. Staff have been known to argue with people on their reviews so I'm sure a response defending themselves will be left on this one This was the best place when Dr. Burton ran it. Unfortunately, since it has been sold the experience has plummeted. Most of the staff was let go (though the new staff and owners will say they left voluntarily) and the consideration and willingness to work with patients has disappeared. What was previously a run in back with Dr. Burton for some blood tests and ended up being over $500 with no warning with the new owners. When I expressed confusion and concern that I had a massive bill that I had not been told about before the blood draw I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and quite literally had the card reader pushed towards me. When I asked if I could do a payment plan as I've done in the past with Dr. Burton as I had bills coming up and was not planning on spending over $500 I was told that that was no longer something that was offered and that I needed to pay right then and there. This on top of the fact that when the new owners took over there were days where the office was closed but there was no information about that put online nor was the voicemail updated. So anyone showing up for appointments that day were met with a paper on the front door saying they were closed and when I asked about it at a later time I was told the vet's son was moving into college and that it couldn't be helped. Again I was treated as if my questioning of why there had been no notice online was ridiculous and rude. If you are thinking of coming here because you've heard good things, I would highly recommend looking into some other locations. The high rating for this animal hospital is all thanks to Dr. Burton, and unfortunately he is no longer there
