We came here and talked to Carrie and they offered a free estimate and cut the cost in half. They were willing to work with our budget and use second hand parts and take any unnecessary cost off. I had a 18" line of paint transfer and a small scuff from the frame of the garage. This was on a new (2024) SUV so it was important to do what was needed to repair it. The person that worked with me was friendly and helpful. She looked at the damaged area and thought it might be fixed by polishing. She took it to the repair shop and 20 minutes later brought it back repaired like it never happened. No charge! This alone was impressive and left me with a positive customer experience. Additionally, the office area was clean, well organized and I heard several customer interactions, in person and on the phone. The Hub City people were impressive with all customers and tried their best to help individual needs such as putting extra effort into finishing a truck a bit earlier than promised because the person was up against meeting a business deadline. I saw and heard a lot in that busy office in 20 minutes and I was impressed. I won't hesitate to use Hub City Body Shop if the need arises. read more

My car was t-boned after someone ran a stop sign in my neighborhood. The insurance totaled my car, and gave me the option to repair or replace, with the corresponding cash offers. Unfortunately, with the sum they offered for replacing the car, we could not get a car remotely close in miles and maintenance to our own vehicle. To make matters worse, the car was underivable and I couldn't take it anywhere to get an estimate to know if repairs would be covered by the amount insurance was offering. Fortunately, I stumbled across Hub City! Dan was so helpful, and had me email him pictures of the damage in order to give me an estimate (which ended up being astoundingly close to the final amount, I'll have you know). He also hooked me up with their preferred towing company (scoring me a big discount). They then proceeded to fix the car at a great price and in a timely manner, and produced amazing results, keeping me informed every step of the way. Carrie Coppi and everyone I had contact with in the office and the technicians were wonderful. they got the part, matched the paint on Thursday, and installed so we could return home early Friday. the paint is perfect, the part was securely installed and does it's job. A lot of times Maaco shops can be look over because they're such a huge chain, but Maaco Lubbock fixed my Jeep perfectly. Awesome customer service, nice staff, quick service, honest pricing (for out of pocket). We took our truck for an estimate after someone hit our truck in the parking lot of our apartment complex. We took the truck to Maaco first for an estimate where they quoted us $720(ish) and two days of work and when we took it to a competitor they quoted us $2000 and more than 2 days of work. And in the end after the truck was finished and we paid for it, it only ended up being $645 so we saved even more than we expected. I cannot express how bad of an experience this was. They may be able to fix a scratch on a vehicle but repainting a whole vehicle I think not! I took in my truck to get a total new paint job done and there were so many issues with this place and the manager Roy it was a joke. I use to be in the automotive bussiness and would've never lied, cussed and disrespected a customer like he did. First off the intial time of repair was going to be 10 days. Try 5 weeks. Then the body work looks like my 14 year old did it. Several areas there were still dents that are clearly visible. The paint has numerous runs in it. They painted the hood the wrong color intially and then got mad at me for not liking it. The big kicker was the customer service though. Every time I called I got told 2 more days or call back, just putting me off and excuse after excuse. Even told me to come up one saturday that'd it would be ready. Walked in and wasn't even close to being done. Told me to come back in a couple of hours. When I called back later that morning I was then informed it would not be ready till the first of the next week. Why in the world would you tell a customer to come up and pick it up and it was 2 days from being done? Towards the end of the experience after I had been put off for another week I drove up to the shop to see what progress has been made and as soon as I pulled up; I could see my truck sitting in their yard and hasn't been touched since i complained about the hood being done incorrectly the previous week. As I got out of my vehicle I was greeted by the owner (Roy) and started getting verbally attacked. He come out angry and I know why..... Cause he was caught again in putting me off and lying about the status of my truck. I could give a dozen more examples of how bad of a managed place this is. Trust me anyone wanting a vehicle to be painted and have it come out looking professional, DO NOT USE MACCO OF LUBBOCK!!! Take the time and maybe spend the extra money at a more custom paint shop to have it done correctly. As the old saying goes... You get what you pay for. I had to learn that lesson again and $3200 out the window. Good luck all that do not take my warning. read more

I recently got a paint job at Maaco, and the work quality put into my car was extremely bad. You should never take your car here for a paint job. They rushed my car through there line, and they didn't take any time for good inspections on the paint. For this problem, I took my car back to the place, and the owner was extremely rude about everything. After they get your money, they don't care about the customers anymore. He got mad at a worker because he took the time to do everything that i asked for. (fixing and buffing the paint) The owner made really rude comments saying, "get this car out of here, we've got more down the line." Another comment was made by one of the owners family members saying, "Is that the last part your buffing? We need to stop there because we've got other work to do." These are a few comments that they said IN FRONT OF ME, while they were working on my car. They have no respect for their customers, and I recommend to never take your car there. When I first got the paint done and noticed all of the things that they did wrong, they said "oh, yes I can't remember of why we rushed your car." WHY would you rush my car in the first place? Do it right the first time, and I wouldn't have to be there a second time. They had to re-paint my car because of poor work, and they do not care about the paint quality. Do not go to this unprofessional place. They will also take your car for a joy ride, and eat in it. When I got my car back, I had lower gas and I had a piece of chicken in the back. This place is very unprofessional, so please! Save yourself from having a headache and from a rude owner! Just pick any body shop except this one! It's very bad! read more
