I often…read moreshop at Burney True Value Hardware as it is convenient and I have always liked to support local businesses over the chains like Home Depot and Lowes. Today, was my FINAL shopping experience at Burney. I had purchased a few screws for a project a week or so ago and didn't need them. Today, I tried to return them and buy some more items. I thought I had the receipt in the bag but I did not seem to have it with me. I asked if I could return them without the receipt. The total for the four screws was a whopping .82. I was told that they couldn't return them without the receipt as they have hundreds of SKU numbers and they wouldn't know which one I was returning. This made logical sense until I looked at my bag a little further. The gentleman that helped me pick out the screws didn't seem to write down the SKU number on my bag! How was it rung up when I purchased it? I assume by some generic key that charged me the .82, the same generic key that could have refunded my .82! Sorry Burney you lost me for good over this one, shame on your staff!

The tech called Stihl and sent them pictures trying to get them to deny doing the warranty. The saw had a scratch from where it sits on my trailer. The tech told Stihl I did some crazy stuff when he didn't even know. So Stihl denied it. I called Stihl and they told me they don't know why the tech called and sent them pictures trying to get it denied but they said yea clear warranty problem. I've emailed the store several times trying to speak with a manager and the won't respond. They kept my saw for two months before they called me and said we can't fix under warranty. Now I have to take saw to different shop out my area. Sorry place. Hate I spent so much money there

They have everything a Big Box store has and then some. The prices were too low to believe. They sell handguns too. They have tools, clothing, yard supplies and all your electrical needs. Well...there are no women walking around in their underwear, but it is like the times when you would look at all the toys, and make your Christmas list! When you first walk in, there is a huge Green Egg display! They have all the stuff you can only find online! Then you notice the tool isles! Pretty soon the section of Stihl EVERYTHING! Put a leaf vacuum in the small engine shop for difficulty starting and an oil leak. Stuck his finger in the oil leak and said, yep, that's oil. Expensive lesson in where not to get anything repaired.
