Great neighborhood place. They serve hot wings and Chinese food. The fried rice is not too greasy.

VN Sandwich - Special Banh Mi (I think?)

Cute little restaurant in a strip mall…read more I ordered an iced salted coffee, fried egg Banh Mi, and pork egg rolls. Unfortunately, I was given a different sandwich. It looks like they gave me the Special Banh Mi, instead of the fried egg. I believe it was missing the meat floss and pate, but otherwise it looks like a regular Banh Mi. I had also asked for no jalapeños, but there were a few (no biggy, I just picked them off). Everything was really yummy. The drink was just the right amount of sweetness, with that rich coffee taste. The pork egg rolls had a good amount of filling, though I wish there was a little more sweet chili sauce. The sandwich bread was a little dry/hard, and I thought maybe it could have had a little more filling (probably if the floss and pate were on it, that would have made the difference). It did have two different pork rolls (cha lua and thit nguoi? Sorry if I misspelled). The flavor of the pork rolls was 10/10. I will be thinking about this food until I go back lol.. I definitely want to try their other menu offerings as well! Pricing was good, considering everything is so expensive now. Before tip and convenience fee (I ordered online) it was just under $22.

The two ladies in the front were busy- one washing dishes and one seeming to sift through delivery order tickets. Once I was finally acknowledged, it took a while more for one to take my order. I was about to turn around d and walk out when she finally took my order. Point being, customers in front of you are the priority. Moving on to the food, I had the pork vermicelli which they serve in a big bowl (probably usually used for the pho). I enjoyed my dish. The pork wasn't too fatty and the toppings (mint, lettuce, bean sprouts, and pickled radish and carrot) didn't overtake the dish. Overall, I enjoyed their vermicelli better than a recent competitor in the Smyrna. I'll try them again but if their customer service isn't better, that'll be my last time.

Aleejay was amazing and did such a great job at getting me ordered and out quickly. Yummy! I had the classic Ham and it was delicious with the broccoli bacon side. Will be back!

I love Honey Baked Ham! It's so crazy to me because I don't recall ever visiting a brick and mortar…read morelocation, only enjoying it via catering or by other means. But after I visited home and my mom made me her version of a Honey Baked Ham sandwich, I found myself craving one once I got back to ATL. As I was next door at Walmart picking up a tree, I figured I'd head over and pick up a sandwich myself. I'm glad I did! This is really a great location set in a quiet portion of a plaza that also houses Walmart, Dollar Tree and other retail shops in adjoining lots. There are only 2 or 3 other businesses neighboring the store, but a bunch of great parking right outside. The shop was incredibly clean and well-stocked with their branded condiments, side dishes, desserts and of course, hams! I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised that there were about three other parties already seated inside. There seemed to be only one employee working the front, which I totally understand as someone who used to work at a similar establishment. Turns out that the gentleman behind the counter was a supervisor and I could really tell by how he was turning out those meals! He was very patient and efficient, I didn't mind that it wasn't "fast food", I could tell that he was prepping each order with care. I waited about 10+ minutes for my meal as the other parties received theirs, and took that time to scroll on my phone and check out the options in the store until my to-go order was packed and ready. I opted for the Honeybaked Sandwich which includes ham, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, crispy onions, honey mustard and honey glaze on ciabatta bread. I also went with their broccoli bacon bliss side and a snickerdoodle cookie. The cookie was so soft and delicious, I wish I had grabbed more than one! The broccoli bacon bliss was HBH's take on a broccoli salad (which I love) and it was delicious, it had a bit more tang than I expected, but it was a perfect pairing. My sandwich was also delicious although the sauce made it soggier than I hoped, I didn't leave a crumb so obviously it didn't bother me too much lol. Next time I'll ask for a little less sauce and maybe just a bit more ham. A tasty experience!
