Stopped by while staying in the area on business. The reviews had me intrigued. I will say that the prices are very low. I ordered 15 wings with fries and two sodas and it came to $11 something. I learned of Gourmet Cafe from a recent office event. I hate oversized wings. Their wings are appropriately sized. I went in to their location yesterday for a late lunch after running errands. It wasn't crowded. I had a place to sit and wait on my food. It was ready in 15 mins as promised. Everything was spectacularly. They got the order completed correct, and they give you so much food for your money which is amazing. The lemon pepper wings were finger-licking good and were just like I like them: extra crispy with a mixture of drums and flats. I was so pleased. My fries were hot, crispy, and they gave me so much I couldn't close the container. Everyone there is efficient, kind, and were very professional. This is my kind of place for some amazing wings! Gourmet Cafe is tucked away in a small strip plaza (Franklin Station) along Franklin Road, just 300 yards north of Delk Road. I walked here from my nearby motel to grab dinner takeout around 7:30PM on a rainy weeknight. This cozy cafe is not a fancy place which has yellow painted walls, an order counter with overhead lighted menu boards, drink cooler (canned soda & Gatorade), and several tables for eating in. There's also a big old fashioned tube TV to watch in the front dining area. The menu offerings include sandwiches (steak & cheese, reuben, fish, chicken breast, & more), hot & cold subs, burgers, gyros, salads, buffalo wings, fried foods, fried rice, bagged chips, and dinner platters (teriyaki short rib, chicken, fried oysters, fish, shrimp, catfish, chopped beef steak). The prices are pretty reasonable, most items priced under $10. Beer is served here too! I ordered a Gyro with Fries ($5.25 plus tax), which was ready in under 10 minutes. I watched some news on the tube while waiting in the empty cafe. The gyro tasted pretty darn good, which had plenty of juicy soft sausage, with crispy shredded lettuce, onions, & a creamy tzatziki dressing wrapped in a very warm grilled soft flatbread.
