Just finished my first 5k mile service appointment. Fantastic service!
    Angela J.

My car has been nagging at me to get my 5k mile service, which entailed an oil change and tire rotation. While I had a great experience with purchasing at this location, and felt confident that their great customer service would carry over to the service department, I wasn't looking forward to a long wait, in a waiting room...especially during Covid. First, I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered next day appointments. I chose later in the day and was told my car should be done in about an hour. My partner was surprised that they were charging me for the tire rotation, and swore we were told during signing that tire rotations were free with oil changes. Personally, I remember something along those lines, but couldn't remember exactly. They let me know that they provide free tire rotations with oil changes when you buy tires from them. I mean, I kinda did...right? I bought them with the car! I'm not bold enough to push the envelope, but it gave me a chuckle. I'm still learning my car, having went from a Dodge Avenger to a brand new, first time Mazda. For me, it has felt like buying a new car and computer at the same time. So I appreciated that at check-in, the first things I was asked was how I was liking the car and did I have any questions about any of the features. Everyone that I worked with gave A++ customer service, and I loved it so, so, so much. It is so nice to finally have continuous, positive experiences with purchasing and maintaining a vehicle. I noticed they offer what looks like a nice coffee bar and fountain soda, complimentary. They had hand sanitizer with a sign asking people to disinfect their hands before using the coffee machines and everything looked clean and well kept. The nice sized waiting was clean and the seats are quite comfortable.

We were able to drop off the car without an appointment and we're assured we would hear back in a day or so. We appreciated their ability to take the car despite shortages of people working due to sickness. We heard back in a few days about the issues and were able to determine what we would have done immediately and what could wait. The only issue we did have is that when we brought in the car previously for routine service and oil change no one inspected the car, even though we were given a sheet claiming it had been inspected. So our issues stemmed from not being 'on top' of how much the brake pads needed changing or the spark plugs were overdue for a change. This is a bit disconcerting as we thought we were on top of things. We also had initially requested an oil change but then called multiple times (prior to start of service) to take that service off as we were doing too many other adjustments. When we went to pick up the car they had done an oil change and couldn't take off the cost despite being told about our calls. We did call on the following business day and were told they would remove the cost, but just a note that it is better to be very clear at the onset what you want done (inspection, services) so there isn't confusion. It is a good service and all of the people are very friendly, but our faith is a bit shaken. The prices though are reasonable for other spots for the same type of service, so that is part of why we continue to return. Definitely worth checking out, but make sure communication is clear!

They threw $5,000+ at it for prep work (brakes, oil filter housing, track bar, valve covers, spark plug seals, fluids, etc.) and told me it was all checked out and "fixed." Their own internal worksheet proved they knew about P0300, P0302, and P0303 misfire codes. Yet they never replaced the spark plugs (I pulled a badly carbon-fouled one from cylinder 3 days later) and the O2 sensors had never been changed either. Firestone has now found a failing hydraulic lifter on cylinder 3, missing valve cover bolts, battery cables that were literally sliced/hacked, loose terminals, missing fasteners, and other loose nuts/bolts all over the engine bay. The same misfires keep coming back. I've already dumped $860 on new O2 sensors plus coils, plugs, and diagnostics. When I brought everything back they hid behind "as-is, no warranty" and claimed they "only do safety checks." The salesman kept pushing how "benevolent" their service team was. This place lacks integrity. They knew the Jeep had problems, did the cheapest partial fixes, and dumped it on me anyway. Do not buy any vehicle from this dealership. They will screw you over and then gaslight you when you complain. Save yourself the headache and money -- go somewhere else.

There are not many Dodge dealers in the area, so I had to travel to this place. I had my vehicle serviced here and was very pleased. They service staff here was very friendly and helpful. I arrived in the morning without an appointment and got my oil changed, new wipers, tires rotated, and turn signal repaired all under an hour and a half. I had called a few days prior and was given a quote for the work. The quote was spot on. The waiting area is clean, but kind of small and lacked some amenities. that you would find in other service wait areas. They did have free wifi, which is a definite plus. They had signage stating that they had a courtesy shuttle but I did not inquire about it. This is a decent place to get your Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler serviced. They are very friendly, up front, knowledgeable and courteous.

After inspection, the service department said she needed a water pump(mind you, it was NOT overheating). My sister agreed to have them remove and replace the water pump, along with a tuneup. After a day, the service department called and said the work was completed. She went to pick up her van, and paid $2,500 for these relatively minor repairs! On the way back to her home, the "check engine light" started flashing. She "googled" the cause and effects of this symptom! AI advised her not to drive it, as it could damage her catalytic converter. Her pickup day was on a Thursday, and she called the Service Department on the next day, but was advised by the staff, that the service manager would not be at the shop until Monday. When she called Monday, TOC said the would tow her vehicle in, to look at it. After 1 day, they called to tell her, that her engine was bad! Here lies the problem. Why did O'Brien do $2500 worth of work to a vehicle with a bad engine! What quality of techs do they have, if they can't determine if an engine is bad, prior to changing out parts? My sister had been taking this van for service to TOC, for 9 years prior! Tom O'Brien has not offered a refund, total or partial, for their misdiagnosis of this vehicle! It's a truly disgusting way to do business! My sister wanted to just forget about the whole matter, and move on. I felt it was obligatory of me to write a review, even to prevent one person to go to this service department, and get taken advantage. The vehicle was old, for sure, but that's even more reason to be forthcoming and honest, which Tom O'Brien was not!

I really wanted that car, but that comment and the overall attitude immediately changed my mind. Customer service matters, especially when someone is making such a big purchase.

I scheduled an appointment to have my horn repaired and made it very clear that I needed a Saturday appointment because I had been told the repair would take all day. I also explained that I rely on my vehicle for work during the week and that, as a cancer patient, my PTO is reserved for chemotherapy and doctor appointments. My time and transportation needs were clearly communicated in advance. Despite that, I dropped off my vehicle for the scheduled Saturday appointment, only to receive a call four hours later informing me that the repair could not even be performed because only lube technicians were available on Saturdays. This was completely avoidable and reflects a serious lack of communication and competence. If the repair could not be done on a Saturday, that should have been disclosed before the appointment was ever made. There was no excuse for wasting my time and leaving me without my vehicle for hours unnecessarily. On a later visit, I requested a loaner car and was made to feel as though I was asking for something unreasonable. When I arrived, Robin addressed me in a rude and unprofessional manner in front of other customers, stating that they do not have many loaners, that everyone wants one, that they have eliminated many of them, and that I "better figure out what to do next time." That comment was inappropriate, embarrassing, and entirely unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to that way, especially in a public setting. Asking for a loaner during a repair is not improper, and being shamed for it was disrespectful and unnecessary. The overall experience showed poor planning, poor communication, and a troubling lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. I expected far better from a dealership service department. Instead, I was inconvenienced, dismissed, and treated with disrespect

Okay so let's speed up about a couple of weeks ago I got into an accident I immediately reached out to byrider and was told they were closed and asked what they could help me with I informed them that I had been involved in an accident and since I had been paying for the collateral insurance through them I asked what was next I was met with no response so the next business day you would think they would at least pretend to care about a customer who hasn't ever missed a payment right? Aht wrong they asked about police reports and who's fault it was and then 3 different times I was given different stories and was told the vehicle would be picked up and started to be repaired if I paid a 250 deductible to which I did and days later someone seperate had to put the pick up order in because the person who collected the money nor the other people had placed the order for the vehicle to be picked up now after the vehicle had been picked up prior to my payment date they then told me on my payment date that I owe a 165 fee for them picking up the vehicle outside of the 250 deductible plus the fees I had to pay to get it from the tow yard mind you I wasn't informed of the fee until they had already picked up the vehicle then they pulled my police report without informing , asking or anything and told me I need to contact the opposing insurance since they were found at fault before I even had the report , then this is where things get even more weirder they tell me I need to pay my car payment for a vehicle they have and refuse to return and even claimed that the opposing insurance has denied my claim meanwhile I have spoken to the opposing insurance people who deny what byrider is saying before byrider and after since byrider has made that claim, they have told me that the vehicle is a total loss but I was told it could be fixed the opposing insurance has told me about the consumer reports against byrider for their business handlings but I have asked byrider about the conflicting statements they have told me they don't have to provide me with document since I sent pictures of the vehicle so they said I have what I need for that , they refuse to respond to me with any details of if the vehicle is a total loss or if it is being repaired and they had gotten to a point where they were calling me and texting about payment even my family but as soon as I contact them asking for what Im paying for and proper documents now they disappear and stop responding so my first ever payment I missed was met with harassing text and calls instead of empathy and actual consideration and I almost forgot they had stopped responding to me when I asked about the condition of the vehicle but today they are asking for my documents from the opposing insurance meanwhile they have yet to give me anything no details , the condition of the vehicle , nor the locations , nor the documents and when asked why they need the documents if they claim they already had received a denial or when asked for the paperwork again they have gone ghost i wouldn't advise personally anybody to do business with this personal place but SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK
