I am writing to draw you attention to one of the worst experiences I have ever had buying (or attempting to buy) a car. I have purchased 5 brand new cars in my lifetime and this is by far the worst experience and the reason car salesmen get such a bad name. I contacted every acura dealer in the tristate area and asked for the best price on an MDX A-SPEC Advance. I informed each dealership that I do not like the car buying game and would appreciate their best price up front. In return I won't shop their price and if they have the best price I will buy the car there even if that dealership is further away. At Hubler Acura in Greenwood Indiana I was working with Tristan. He gave me a quot for the MDX A-SPEC Advance. I informed him that I did not qualify for any of the rebates. He informed me that he would have to get the car from another dealership. Once the car was obtained, we filled out the financing paperwork and put down the $500 downpayment. I was supposed to pick up the car on Saturday and my wife and I were happy and excited for the car. I had to make arrangements for my kids and move a work obligation to be there on Saturday. I did not shop the price, however other dealerships would call me to follow up and when I informed them I was going with Hubler they asked me what the price was. I had multiple other Acura dealerships make offers of 65K and one said they would match that price These other dealerships were much closer, but I am a man of my word, and I told them no thanks I am going with the dealership that offered me the lowest price right from the start. On Thursday evening I received a call from the manager- I am not sure if it was Scott Combs or Anthony Hurt. This person told me that they made a mistake and sent me the wrong quote. They could not do the price we agreed on. The new price was 2.5k higher than the one quoted. I was understandably upset and told this person that this is unfair and horrible business and that I expected to honor their already agreed upon price. The person (Scott or Anthony) told me that they could do whatever they wanted and they were under no circumstances selling me the car at that price. I asked to speak to the owners, and he laughed in my face. What infuriates me is that he was calling me with HIS mistake that HE wouldn't honor and HE was being rude to me like I had done something wrong. I let it sit for 24 hours and my blood is still boiling. I just wanted to make sure I told as many people about this as possible. I plan on leaving a review on every website I can and will make sure this is heard because it was the worst experience I have ever had buying a car and Hubler Acura should be avoided. Also- just so you are aware--within an hour of this happening I was under contract with another dealership for the same exact car for $500 more than the original quote. 500 dollars I am glad to spend knowing my money is not going to Hubler. read more

They have such poor customer service. I have seen and heard the service team members talk about customers after they leave the area.

I'm at a loss for why anyone would tolerate Hubler's 3% markups on all new vehicles (let alone one that was ordered direct from Acura). Add that to the fact that their local competitor promises no markups and the mystery grows deeper. Skip these greedy shysters and take your money elsewhere - like I did. Management - if you think screwing customers and making an extra 3% is worth it right now, I would hate to see what the future holds for you... I for one will remember this and avoid your dealership no matter what moving forward. To add insult to injury, the salesperson, David, failed to communicate that I'd cancelled the transaction and their finance department went ahead and ran my credit. A+ work y'all read more

Hubler DOES NOT HAVE YOUR BACK. I purchased a 2022 ILX for my kid in college. The Sales Process was good - Agreed on a price and then went for a successful test drive. 30min in time. No trade - cash deal on a Saturday. Left the car until the following Wed - it sat at home for a few days until Sunday. My wife mentioned that it smelled like a smokers car. I pulled the cabin air cleaner and found a mouse nest along with a brown juice running down the cabin air filter and into the blower motor - very nasty. Exchanged the cabin air filter and steam/ozone cleaned the HVAC System. Hubler did NOTHING! Kid drove it off to IU. He came back a few weeks later and the car and his clothes still stank of the odor hider that they used. I pulled the seats and cleaned the seats, carpets, headliner, trim, etc. I think these morons just sprayed the interior with a mask to hide the problem. The mice enjoyed the brown juice. In addition, they told me this was a CPO car. I contacted Acura corporate after a few weeks of not receiving a CPO card - they said it WAS NOT a CPO card. Hubler gave me a CPO warranty book with the 182 Point Inspection report. Total BS! A few weeks later - I received a CPO card - amazing. Hubler is a combination of liars, incompetence and laziness. Do NOT ever purchase a car from them. read more

I came across this dealership when I was shopping on CarGurus. Gave them a call and a fine gentleman named jeremy answered. I asked him if the vehicle was available. Talked about the vehicle place a deposit made an appointment. I traveled 3 1/2 hours to check the vehicle out. Was very pleased with the service. She spoke to him on the phone, he confirmed the car was available, she drove an hour to look at the car and he had one of his salesman appraise her car and waste an hour of her time. I bought a jeep back in April from here (absolutely love it). I purchased the extra coverage for my tires and windshield and something else. But any ways I went in for an oil change and to get a nail removed from my tire. They they applied a discount for me from their website that I didn't know about, so I thought that was sweet! Plus a complimentary car wash! The blonde employee (male) that works near the car shop was very sweet and he was very quick to update me on what they were doing and how long they were going to take! Zero stars in my opinion, my step son least his favorite car off the lot with his own money. 3,800 he put down. First vehicle he has ever gotten with his good credit he didn't even need a cosigner. Left the place and the salesman Dave forgot to give him a licence plate and also on top of that forgot to give him back his drivers license. Barbara who done the financial part seen his paycheck stubs and they seen he didn't work full time. Fast forward 4 weeks after having the car at the house we got a call saying they made a mistake and need the car back. I guess you can't work part time and have a lease vehicle. Scam artist... They seen his paperwork, they knew all about it.. Now they want more money a month..i told them we will return the car but we want every dime we put into it. Barbara hung the phone up on me. September 5 2019: After purchasing the Acura RDX 2019 from Hubler Acura, the car has prompted me for 3 'System Updates'. The latest update did not work and the entire screen with navigation, radio, and safety / security system of the car was no longer operable. I took the car to Hubler to be repaired. The Service Department advised me that Honda/Acura is aware of the problem and there is no known long term solution / fix at this time. The Service Manager went on to explain several instances of this same problem happening to various customers of Hubler's since the RDX has been available - and that many other customers are awaiting this fix from Honda / Acura. I was instructed to simply turn off my car and turn it back on if it happens again and hopefully that would reset any computer problem. I contacted the GM of Hubler Acura, Anthony Hurt, who was very aloof and did not seem to care one bit about the problems I was experiencing with my BRAND NEW CAR. His only suggestion was to contact an attorney and call Acura Client Services. Upon further research, I learned that a Class Action Law Suit has been filed in the State of California against American Honda Co./ Acura specifically related to 2019 & 2020 RDX's that were sold with this exact KNOWN problem related to the Infotainment System. I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR FROM HUBLER! They sold me a car that has a KNOWN problem with NO KNOWN FIX. They are currently in litigation for this problem that has not been rectified and they continue to sell a car that is defective. DO NOT BUY FROM HUBLER!!!! read more

I bought my used car from here in December and so far, so good. The sales guys were... sales guys. It was pretty much what I expected. I walked away from their first offer and waited almost a month and they eventually gave me what I was initially asking for. I have since brought my car in for standard service (first oil change was free) and it has been, like I said, so far, so good. At this point, I would buy another car here or recommend Hubler Acura to a friend or to my boyfriend who is looking to buy a second Acura and was by my side throughout the process. read more

Terrible experience, was lied to about the 2017 MDX we purchased. We were told it was a dealership demo, not correct it was a lease vehicle. I asked if it had ever been wrecked, we were told no. Not correct, found multiple things wrong that all indicated it had been wrecked. Dealership had already sold our trade in. After taking the car back multiple times to fix everything that should have been fixed the 1st time they ended up keeping the car close to a month without offering any compensation. Demetrius, As friendly and nice as you appear to be I do not feel as though you are genuine when it comes to "customer satisfaction." I feel the way you represented Acura was very unbecoming. On Wednesday August 28th when I came in you knew you had already made the sale and to make sure I signed on the dotted line anything I asked was an automatic yes! followed by oh, no sorry cant do that. You stated the reason I could not take home the 2008 RDX that day is because it needed to go through inspection and detailed clean because and I quote "Acura has a reputation and we don't want send you home in a vehicle that hasn't gone through it's process and only sell quality vehicles." So you guys had a day and a half to get it inspected and detailed clean. The vehicle did not go through either of these, you also told me that the vehicle had a spare key and it didn't, those type of keys are easily 250$ that I now have to spend. If I had known the vehicle was not going to go through "proper inspection" I never would've bought it. I now have to repair the AC because it's not working and that part Is $450 without labor. Ben, my boyfriend who came with me, called you to discuss how this was not working and you said "you'd see what you could do" which was the response you gave me with the spare key and detailing with no follow through and nothing in writing so you're not obligated to do anything for me. You also tried to tell me the car had already been detailed clean but we can do it again, I took pictures of all the dirt, mud and dog hair and submitted them to Acura Corporate Client Care, because that vehicle was never cleaned. You knew when I left I was extremely upset, if you cared about your customers you never would've let me leave knowing how upset I was, you would've grabbed whoever is above you and try and make the situation right but you did nothing. I've purchased/leased multiple vehicles from the Hubler family of dealerships and this past experience with Hubler Acura, from Sales to Management was ridiculous for many reasons. I attempted to file a complaint with the Hubler family to no avail. Please beware of bait and switch type of tactics.
