Whenever I'm on Tennyson Street, I have to stop here to get a delicious cup of coffee and to buy a bag of their coffee beans (which they will gladly ground up if you ask them). Better yet, they had a selection of their Huck coffee bags on sale and with the purchase, I got a complimentary cup of coffee. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic and service is quick despite having a line of customers. As one of the Denver's most iconic and beloved coffee shops, the rating for this Tennyson location is quite low at 3.5 stars (as of late February 2026). Really?? No matter when I go here (surprisingly though, this is my first time to rate this location), this place seemed to be lively or even packed with the patrons or regulars or some spontaneous guests. I thought this was the indication that it was receiving lots of "LOVE" from people like me. Whatever the previous reviewers had to rate this place mediocre or low, my experience earlier today during the busy morning hours was indeed pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is spacious. And very colorful indeed. It's more of the wall art inside and outside that has lots of pastel colors incorporated into it where on a very gloomy day can turn into a bright(er) day especially once inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I received a cheerful/welcoming service by two wonderful ladies upfront. The lady who took my order had a very pleasant "Hi" greeting which I received it solidly as if to say that my body was a sound board. The lady who made my triple shot latte (in an 8oz cup) made my drink so artfully and beautifully. And it tasted good. Hard to believe I haven't reviewed this outpost of Huck yet! Of all coffee shops in the Greater Denver metro, Huckleberry is becoming a household name with all their shops popping up all over town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This one on Tennyson is large, I'm talking extremely spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And being smack dab in the heart of Tennyson, boy is it busy busy! The baristas do an excellent job here and are efficient and professional even if there's a line of undercaffeinated customers. You'll never have a bad drink here. My go-to's are the cold brew limeade, cortado, or espresso tonic (with Strongwater tonic!). Can't go wrong with either of these! Like I mentioned earlier, this place gets BUSY. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finding a seat always seems to be a challenge. They have small two person tables which are good for coworking, but the tables barely have space for multiple laptops. And now that we have a newborn, our stroller takes up a lot of space. Sitting in the high top community table is tough considering there's always a flow of people walking in and out. Personally the seating situation is my only qualm with this location, especially when it's already busy and you have a big group in your party![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Big fan of the Huckleberry empire slowly taking over Denver. I started going to the Pecos location back in 2014 when I lived in Denver, so it's neat to see them expand, which normally comes at a cost for quality and craftsmanship. The hubby and I grabbed coffee at the Tennyson location which did not disappoint. I ordered a hot sweet potato spice latte with oat milk which was fantastic. It wasn't too sweet, creamy from the oat milk, and had the right amount of seasonal spices to put me in the mood for fall. I have been coming to this place for the past two months and love the place but today my experience was really bad. I had asked for a mug instead of to go cup and Cody was pretty rude about it and said no. They still had about 35 minutes left to close. My extra hot coffee was tepid. Recently I have found myself frequenting huckleberry whenever I am on Tennyson. I love coming in to see what their seasonal drinks are. My friend got a seasonal latte and I got a blueberry lemon matcha. I really enjoyed the matcha it definitely had a strong blueberry flavor which was almost reminiscent of a milk tea style matcha latte. I normally go for their specialty lattes as well but this was a great divergence from my normal order. I love that they have oat milk as an option for alternative milk too. The Tennyson location does have quite a bit of seating but it does get pretty busy during the work day so it can be a little bit tricky to find a spot to post up but it's also great if you're picking up coffee before going on a walk around the area. read more

I've seen so many great places go downhill after a roaster of the year award, but Huck has kept its charm and continues to impress with delicious and unique coffees. Been to Huckleberry a few times. Coffee was always great. Writing this review to inform others, especially women, and families that bring their children. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today my girlfriend got home and immediately said she would never go back to Huckleberry. She told me that the bathrooms are gender neutral (which is 100% fine), but the catch is that the restroom is not a 1-person at a time restroom. The restroom has two stalls within it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While she was using the restroom, someone else entered and began using the stall next to her. This person did not shut the door to the stall they were using. When she finished up and opened her stall door, she realized it was a grown ass man pissing with the door wide open in the stall next to her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This made her feel very uncomfortable and disappointed that something like this could not only happen to her, but other women, and children.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great coffee, but this establishment evidently doesn't care about the safety and comfort of their customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Disclaimer: We're both in support of gender neutral everything. But at some point a line is crossed, and it was today with this incident. Huckleberry is my go-to place to grab beans for my pour overs at home, so when they opened a location on Tennyson walking distance for me, I was so excited! I love that they give you a free cold brew or drip with a purchase of beans. Also the roast dates are usually recent and beans are super fresh - on December 2nd I got a bag that had a 11/29 roast date. I've tried a bunch of their blends and single origins and they're all great for pour over and espressos. read more

I'm not sure why this place said it was dog friendly online because they'll just pick and choose who can let their dog come in. Two people with dogs in front of me and they placed their order and went outside to wait. I was holding my 14 week old puppy who was never even on the ground like the others but she was the problem and I had two workers come up to me at once and ask me to leave. People in front of me said the line had taken them 15 minutes. You can't order online and there's no way I'm leaving her outside for that long alone. Anytime I get coffee out I always visit a new local coffee shop instead of the typical Starbucks on every corner. I love this location of Huckleberry the most. Amazing space, great if you're working remote and want to feel apart of the outside world. Only downside is it does get super loud so if you have calls I recommend finding a spot on the patio. My go to "judge the coffee shop" drink is an oat milk iced latte with either vanilla or whatever specialty syrup they have and vanilla has been my go to. Absolutely fantastic. Mix all of that with the cool people making the magic behind the counter, its never a bad idea to stop by. read more

Coffee is excellent, I love the smell and flavor of their coffee best out of everyone else in Denver. Finally they open up this one in the Tennyson area. The best part is they have a coffee club where you can purchase a glass jar and 6 refills. The glass jar is 16oz, vs the 12oz bags, and how the math works out is you end up getting a free 16oz bag of coffee. Every time you come in to refill the glass jar you also get a drink with it.
