Waitress was good. Placed my order for a $13 breakfast but found out later after overhearing a customer placing an order for the exact same thing I ordered they got for a $5.99 breakfast special which was not advertised! Very deceptive! I paid my bill but will not be back! read more

This is one of the greatest restaurants I have ever stopped through. Greasy spoon chain in the area with awesome service. Couple of tvs with football on really made us happy! We stopped through on a visit for school and were absolutely thrilled by the people in the store. The manager Ollie made our experience delightful, he made our food personally, and Jan the server really joked it up with us? Was their today, on a Tuesday for their 2 for 15 meal , excellent value , tasty food thus the 2nd star. Service on the other hand was less than stellar! The waitress had her children their and seemed to be spending more time taming them than attending to her customers was only given 1 silverware for 2 people and her and another server were behind the counter dropping F-bombs about things and was only given 1 refill also felt rushed because she had to "Clear her people" before she could leave! Very bad attitude I came in waiting to be served sat 20 min before my order could be taken I had to walk to the counter and order my food. Instead of being nice they acted as if it was my fault I wasn't waited on. All the Caucasian people was waited on first the workers talked behind my back like I couldn't hear them talking about me. I give most restaurants a 3 strike policy since you usually have different servers & cooks each time you go in changing your experience. I have never consistently left a restaurant MAD about my experience. 3 times here was 3 times too many!!! This establishment actually offered my whole family a free meal after complaining to corporate about how awful this place was and I turned it down, because it is honestly that bad that I wouldn't even go back for a free meal! They have more recently given the place a face lift and I hope that included cleaning the place because once I caught a glimpse into the back room my stomach turned. On top of that we had consistent bad service. On our last visit we waited over 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Waited another 15-20 for our drinks at which point we ordered, than watched as our order sat on the counter for over 15 minutes before our waitress could be bothered to bring our food to us as she went outside to smoke and stood around chatting with other waitresses. When she finally brought our food she asked if I wanted a refill on my coffee (I did). We ate our entire meal and then sat there for another 15 minutes with our kid screaming and crying waiting on our check & my refill. When she finally brought my coffee it had been around 30-45 minutes since she asked if I wanted it. I informed her that I wanted my refill nearly an hour ago and now I just really wanted to leave. This is the only place in town that was so terrible that I refuse to ever try again. read more

Worst experience ever. I changed my order and the waitress said "Are you sure this time?" with an attitude.... Sat for over 30 minutes waiting on our food. Finally asked waitress about our order and she said they are about to start cooking it. I told her forget it I'm leaving. She told the cook and she said "Good!" and threw my order ticket away right beside the manager, who said nothing. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. That's crazy. Waitress was nice though. More than 2 people on the grill might be a good idea.

A few years ago I stopped at a Huddle House in southern Illinois and was not impressed. On Monday 10 Oct 16 I stopped for breakfast at the Huddle House in Dyersburg, Tn. with my fiancee and her grandson. The service was slow, to the point of being non-existent. My fiancee had to go to the counter to get butter for her grits and jelly for her toast because the waitress was busy talking to people that she knew. My over-easy eggs were hard, not easy. I had to go to the counter to for butter and syrup for my waffles. By the time I got them the waffles were so cold that the butter wouldn't melt. The bacon, which I asked to have 'not crispy' were crispy. I won't be stopping at any Huddle House again. read more

I gave this restaurant a one star because my husband and myself went in there Saturday night (03/05/16) and could not get any service. They were not packed; so we couldn't understand why the light-skinned African-American lady was being so freaking slow. We left. Then we went back the next day since we figured it would be a different crew... The same think happened with a Caucasian girl! These little old lady's had made her cry; so she was useless after that! We left again with no order taken, and went to IHOP in Covington! Great service there! Do better Huddle House in Dyersburg! read more
