Gift from Bellamy..She told me to come on Mother's Day because she had gifts that she was giving, but I did not get to go that day.

My husband and I love to eat at Huddle House in Guntersville, Alabama.. We go there often..I wanted to brag on one of their servers. Her name is Bellamy. She is such a sweetheart. She always makes sure that all of her customers are taken care. She goes above and beyond to take care of them. The food is always delicious and we never have to wait long to be served.

Good food, especially for the price - great value! Slightly better than Waffle House for the same price!

The staff were friendly, but a to-go order for two burgers took 45 minutes. Buyer beware.

It's pretty much a larger version of Waffle House as opposed to Broken Egg, but worth the price.

Maaan, I really wanted to love it here but sadly I had very mixed feelings about my food. There's…read moredefinitely a lot of potential, though! I wish I could give 3.5 stars. This seems to be a fairly new restaurant in Guntersville. I came for a solo lunch after work in the area a few weeks ago. The restaurant is on the smaller side but the inside is absolutely lovely and not at all what you'd expect from the location. The decor is really very beautiful and looks expensive -- modern and chic! Everything was spotless, including the women's restroom. Service was also fantastic! Unfortunately I'm a few weeks removed from my visit as I've been too busy to write super prompt reviews, but whoever my waitress was, she was such a sweetheart. She took great care of me, anticipating my needs and offering up useful information about the menu and items served. An owner or manager type also came by and spoke to me briefly, quite polite and genuine. On to the food... A complementary sampler type platter was brought out to start. It consisted of some bread, feta, olive oil, and an herb/spice blend (to dip the bread in before dipping in olive oil), along with one other small item that I don't remember -- think it was something pickled or similar. The items on the platter were on par with what you'd hope for, but the bread was unfortunately not warm and quite hard. I didn't eat much of it. I got the hibiscus specialty drink to sip on and that was actually quite lovely. Pretty color, not too sweet, very slightly tart. I was surprised to get a free refill on a drink like that one, but I certainly appreciated it! For my entree, I ordered the shawarma supreme wrap with a side of Brazos fries. This was probably the major letdown of the experience. So, I picked this item because it was on the cheaper side. Lots of the other entrees look good but were quite pricy for lunch. Therefore, I chose a smaller option. The menu said it came with marinated chicken and a garlic sauce, so I scratched my head when my waitress asked if I'd like my onions grilled on the wrap. I didn't know onions came on the wrap. I figured we were probably talking small slivers or cubes of onions, so I agreed. However, when I took a bite of my wrap, I found quite large pieces of onions -- maybe an inch or two in length and diameter both. This really hampered the experience for me because I don't like large pieces of onions at all, and it was impossible to eat even a bite without encountering a hunk of onion. I pulled them out or ate around them. It's a shame, cause the chicken and wrap and garlic sauce were all very flavorful. I agree with other reviewers that the menu is very flowery but doesn't accurately convey what to expect from the dishes. Still, flavor potential! Just gotta clear up what I'm actually ordering. The dish came with a few pickled peppers and vegetables to enhance the flavor, which I enjoyed. The fries were...not good. I should've stuck to a more traditional side dish like rice as I think that's where they excel. They had the consistency and shape of frozen fries. They were jazzed up by some sort of seasoning mixture on top, but unfortunately I really didn't like the flavor. The owner/manager caught me sniffing the fries (lol) and came over to assure me they were cooked fresh and all the way. I wasn't worried about either of those things; I just wanted to figure out what the spices were! It honestly reminded me of Old Bay seasoning but I doubt that's right. I wound up dunking my fries in the garlic sauce and tzatziki sauce to drown out the flavor. Last, I couldn't help but order some rice pudding for dessert. I love desserts from this cuisine so I had to! It was probably my favorite thing that I ate -- nice and creamy, lots of delicious chopped nuts and golden raisins. Good stuff! Would definitely order again but would also love to try the baklava. I guess I'm being extra critical just because I see the vision for something extra special! I'd love to return to try some of the larger, more expensive dishes, hopefully with my husband so we can share. I love this type of food and would love to have more of it in the area so I really hope they succeed! I'll be back to try again, but I'll make sure to double check what's in or on my meal before ordering next time.

Visited for lunch on Thursday and was unfortunately sorely disappointed…read more I arrived at about 12:45 and found a fairly full parking lot. The lot is a little torn up but not too bad. It's easy to get in and out. Walked around to the front and stood in the entryway for a few minutes. Didn't know the protocol since it was my first visit. Eventually, a waitress said loudly from the drink machine to seat myself, so I selected an empty booth near the kitchen. There's a lot of seating inside. I'd say the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Idk where people park when they're at capacity lol. Waitress came over and somewhat incredulously asked if I was by myself, which I confirmed. She pushed a scrap of white paper in front of me and told me to circle what I wanted and she'd pick it up. Eh...okay. It was a limited menu of meat + 3 combinations. They advertise breakfast till 1 as well as burgers and sandwiches but none of that was on there. However, the waitress' demeanor can only be described as frosty, and fortunately I was okay with my choices, so I kept to myself. But a part of me was kind of curious about breakfast for lunch. Alas. She returned with my tea wordlessly and swiped up my slip with my order. I circled a fried chicken breast with "potato patties" and fried okra. The sweet tea was the best thing I had and I enjoyed drinking it while I waited for my food. No refills or to go cups were ever offered though. I will grant the food came out fairly fast...but it also came out cold. Well, the chicken and potatoes were approximating room temperature, but the okra wasn't even lukewarm. My grouchy waitress also didn't give me any silverware and ran off before I could ask for any. I had to hunt down a different, only marginally less grouchy waitress so I could eat my food with a fork. It's a shame the okra was cold because it had a hint of potential; the breading was sort of cornmeal-y and might have once been crispy. As it was, it wasn't good at all -- the cold okra got slimy. The chicken was passable but also not nearly hot enough. The breading also needed more seasoning. The potato patties were...not patties? I was expecting something like a Jojo (small crispy potato round, thicker than a chip) or at least something circular lol, but instead I got two scoops of a sort of whipped potato casserole. This would've also been alright except it was lukewarm and, even worse, absolutely replete with still-crunchy large pieces of onion. Couldn't get a mouthful without them and left with much smellier breath. The one redeeming factor other than the tea was the bread basket: two yeast rolls and a hunk of cornbread. The cornbread was awful (bland and dry), but the yeast rolls were soft and warm and about the only food item I legitimately enjoyed -- even though, once again, my waitress left me hanging with no butter. I really couldn't wait to get out as I felt terribly unwelcome, so as soon as I ate what I could stomach I went to the marginally less unfriendly waitress and paid at the register. The price was decent (~$15 before tip). I did still tip, but I was salty -- legitimately some of the worst service I've had in a long time. I'm forgiving of long wait times and forgotten stuff, but I really don't like callous attitudes when I do my best to be pleasant and accommodating. Definitely wouldn't return. 2 stars because the food was edible and the place was clean enough. The hunt for a decent lunch in Scottsboro continues.

The overall feel of the diner was an old school classic mom and pops place. If you are looking for a local joint with good food, this would be it. We went for breakfast, it was great.
