I would like to try another chain location-- this location was not great. My chicken was not ideal- it was very chewy, hard, and the first bite I took almost ruined my meal. I didn't care for the texture of the chicken at all. It was fried hard but very gummy and hard like at the same time. The fries were kind of cold. I didn't care about the saltiness of ranch-mayo type sauce. It was super salty and didn't go well with the chicken. My sandwich (the fried club) was not very hot. The only thing I liked remotely was the Diet Coke and the strawberry cheesecake. The inside of the place was clean, and it was easy to find a great table to sit at, and both of the employees we spoke with were very friendly and helpful. Today we stopped by to check out the food at Slim Chickens. The menu indicates the chicken is fried but the lady at the counter said the chicken could be grilled except for the wings. This store is relatively new and it is shiny and clean inside. We ordered a grilled chicken club sandwich. Additionally we ordered grilled tenders. The lady at the counter mentioned the fries could be swapped and she recommended the Mac and cheese. Not knowing the fries would be swapped for Mac and cheese my husband agreed. I didn't realize the "swap" either or I would have spoken up to confirm he was willing to give up the fries. It wasn't until we arrived at home that he realized there were no fries. He was not happy. He complained about the small Mac and cheese container and how it didn't make up for the fries at all. He saw people's fries in the restaurant and even commented on how good the fries looked. The tenders were tender, moist and tasted good. We had bleu cheese and ranch for dipping sauces. Hubs liked the bleu cheese and I liked the ranch. There was toast that was ok. Hubs said he would order the chicken club sandwich again with fries and skip the Mac and cheese. I would try the fried tenders next time. If you are in the neighborhood, give them a try. read more

I really like Slim Chickens as far as fast food chicken goes. It's way better than Zaxby's. Their wraps are really good, and their ranch is . BUT THE REAL WINNER is their fried okra. It is actually so good It's shocking how good it is. Don't get me wrong, it isn't from your neighbors garden home fried. Slim Chickens in south Huntsville is one of our go to spots for lunch for myself and my co-workers. I typically always get the 3 and 3. I try a different flavor on my wings every time I come in until I find my go to. The wings and chicken tenders are always hot and fresh and have a great flavor. The servers are always welcoming deliver the food to the tables after your order is ready. The restaurant is nice and clean and the noise level is nice. I like the fact that you can sit inside or outdoors if the weather is nice. Slim Chickens is by far my pick over Zaxby's. read more

Slim Chickens is now my go to place for fried chicken fingers. Tender, well seasoned and always fresh and hot. Much tastier than chick-fil-a or zaxbys. Recently had lunch at the Slims Chicken located at Town Madison. One of my favorites is the fried pickles, but was surprised by the new serving size. The basket was delivered to the table with very few pickles. The photo shows the serving size prior to eating any. Tastes good, but not worth the money for such a small portion. read more

Whoa!!! Just tried to go through the drive-thru. The speakers are pointed towards memorial pkwy so traffic noise is an issue. However. The young girl that greeted me on the speaker said. Welcome to Slim Chickens. That was all I heard. I started to place my order and she abruptly cut me off with a very loud and attitude filled. CAN I HAVE A NAME FOR THE ORDER!!! That was clearly enough for me. With the many other options all around I was not wanting to order from an attitude filled adolescent. If management even gives a rats butt about this. It was at 3:08 pm Wednesday September 7th. No worries if not. I will not be going back again. Too many other like places very close by that are more than happy to have my business. I am eating slim chickens tonight and I ordered a wrap and a salad the wrap had barely any chicken it was mainly just the wrap and a little sauce that I was eating and then I ordered a salad it was pretty big and good but they gave me only 2 tiny cups of dressing that were half full and when we asked for more they told me I had to pay for multiples. It makes no since to charge me for 2 more dressings when you have me so little. And besides the food the employees only play around behind the register. Really not good service here. First of all my husband and I eat at the south parkway location on a regular basis. Your staff is friendly and helpful. The food comes out fast and taste great! Break..... We had a Christmas luncheon and I would like to commend Ms. Chelsea Mays (cater coordinator) she did OUTSTANDING by coordinating with management at the south Parkway location, making sure everything was organized by our departments, labeled, and boxed up. The manager Mr. Dylan Dunn and staff were also very professional, organized, and friendly. They made sure our order was ready to go on time and the food tasted amazing!
