I love stopping at diners in smaller towns. Even though previous, older reviews indicated problems, newer reviews showed promise. We were not disappointed. The menu is vast and mixed with classic dishes as well as creative dishes. We ordered the blueberry bites to start. Fried blueberry pancake balls, dipped in cream cheese dip. Yum ( although they could have been cooked just 30 seconds longer). My husband had a standard breakfast with eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon and sausage. I had the "stuffed biscuits" - a layered dish with biscuits, hash browns, sausage, scrambled eggs covered with gravy. Now that's my kind of breakfast. Yummy and filling. Breakfast was canceled at my hotel due to COVID, so I walked the block to the Huddle House. Server Gin (sp) greeted me cheerfully and gave me excellent service. The made to order breakfast was among the very best at any diner I've been to. Strongly recommend you stop at the Huddle House for some wonderful small town hospitality and great food. We went in and ordered breakfast with Emily. After 45 minutes she came and told us "bad news, I forgot to turn your order in and I don't have it anymore." We gave her the order again and waited. We assumed she would have them push it to the front of the line. But no. We waited another 25 minutes. We said we have to go. We offered to pay for the coffee and she took our money. She actually made us pay for the coffee after waiting. We'll never go back there again. read more

Won't go back! My husband ordered a featured omelet with the picture and ingredients listed in the menu insert. When it finally came it wasn't correct at all, it was s combination of two, missing a couple of things that were suppose to be in it and they added things that were not suppose to be in it. ! When we brought it to their attention they acted like it was an inconvenience. They argued with us trying to tell us it was correct even when we pointed out the ingredient list. We told them to remake it. When it finally came we never received an apology, our original server never came back, glasses were empty, and nobody ever checked to see if the remake was ok. Went in today to hasve breakfast with my family before church. We got there around 10:10. Ordered our breakfast. Never once we're we told that the grill was backed up and there would be a wait. Quarter till we asked how much longer. We were told my Maria that they were plating it now. 10 minutes later my husband went to ask where is was. They had just started playing it and the eggs weren't even cooked and the waffle wasn't either. Now our church is only 3 minutes away. So we had time to wait for a little while. Also my husband EMPTY at the end of our tabke for over 15 minutes. She passed by 5 times! We should not had to wait almost an hour for our food.Unfortunately I left my wallet so after church we went back. I told the lady, a blonde, that I left my wallet. She yelled "hey Maria that lady that left her wallet is here." Followed by a smirk and a side look from her and the lady cook. Yea I noticed! Maria brought me my wallet, I thanked her, she said have a nice day I replied you too. I turned and than in heard. "Maria you are just too nice" I worked as a server for years, so i understand getting in the weeds. If I think it's taking far too long than its taking far too long. That's in the grill. But it's also the servers responsibility to let every customer know they are behind and keep us up to date on how it's coming along. Epic fail on everyone part. Horrible place to eat as well as to work at. I would not recommend ever stepping foot in the Milan, Tennessee location. I don't know about other locations but this one in particular is horrible. If I could I would give it 0 stars on here. The place is disgusting, especially the bathrooms, the food... well let's just say I feed my dog better things than that, the staff and the management has gone tremendously down hill while I was working here and has continued to get worse since I worked here, everyone who works here is overworked and severely underpaid and most don't ever get the necessary/proper training they need and instead are told to watch and learn and then they are thrown out there in a matter of maybe two hours if you're lucky, and last but most certainly NOT least especially after what I went through with the harassment that was sexual and also just some people wanting to be a pain after I was already crying from a "rude" coworker, some of the regular customers are very rude and/or pervertive not only to the servers but also the other customers. Overall two big thumbs down and I would give more thumbs down if I had more hands/thumbs. P.s. I tried my hardest to make this review family friendly without any curse words or explatives so those terms rude, pain, etc. that I put in there was just sugarcoating it as well as trying to be considerate of others on here. read more

I will NEVER eat here again! I had just got off work and my husband and I decided to go eat. We walked in around 8:30ish and left around 9:45. We ordered and had coffee while we waited. Our cup was left empty for quite awhile three times. The first food we got was the grits and they were cold. They brought our eggs but we ordered over medium and these were scrambled. They cooked some more and they ended up going back because this time they were over easy. We ended up paying $27 for our mostly cold food. The only thing that was hot was the eggs because they were prepared three times. The people were apologetic and nice but I've never had to wait an hour for breakfast. It was ridiculous. read more
